Tonight, for the last time ever (and we really mean it this time!) the P.Tails will play at Brian's in the NE Heights.

Brian's is on the SW corner of Eubank and Menaul, there's no cover and the music starts promptly at 9:30.

There will be some former and future P.Tails at the gig, so expect some special guests to join us on stage tonight. It's the end of an era; bring your crying towels because we plan to get all sentimental about it.

The Fall Crawl rocked! Somehow we had the mistaken impression that there would be backline at the gig, so there was a bit of a panic as we tried to round up drums and a bass amp for our set. It all worked out fine because the band before us, Caustic Lye, lent us all their gear! Thanks to Caustic Lye who played a set of face melting metal and then let a bunch of old blues cats play through their amps.

Here's a picture of Steve Whitman, the bassist from Los ABC and The Hounds, holding his new Lakland Jazz Bass in his right hand and my slightly older Fender in his left. That Lakland is a sweet bass. I think Steve owns about 20 or 30 of them.

Our friends Derek and Bernice got married, and the P.Tails palyed at the reception. The best part of the night (for me anyway) was when Derek and his friends took the stage for a set of smoking rock and roll. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Leyba!
