The state of Ohio's justice system has involved itself in some real underhanded moves in its handling of the Rifqa Bary case. This girl is in the process of being sold down the river in order to appease a highly intimidating Muslim community. That's what they do, in country after country, the most vocal set the pace for the rest of society. Well, it's not over till the big fat lady sings, and Rifqa has got some serious heavyweights in her corner. KGS

Pamela Geller: The vise tightens further on Rifqa. The authorities, at the command of the Barys' lawyer Omar, continue to isolate Rifqa. She has been in Ohio for well over a month and still there is no "approved visitation" list. How can this be? How can it be that friends who request a visit, and whom Rifqa requests to visit, are repeatedly told "there is no approved visitation list"? Is it not the very mission by objective of children's services to protect the health and welfare of a child? Why has Rifqa been denied "pastoral guidance"? Convicts, murderers, rapists, and pedophiles have access to "pastoral guidance". Is that how powerful and influential Islamic jihad has become in the state of Ohio -- that one young girl is starved of spiritual nourishment so as not to insult Islam? Has everyone gone mad?

No phone. No net. No religious succor.

This is why I so fiercely fought her return to Ohio. Columbus is home to one of the largest Somali Muslim populations in the United States, 70,000 and growing. This is the group, Somali Muslims, that has been at the epicenter of myriad busts for jihad in recent weeks (and one coming today). Is she safe in a devout Muslim community?
The office of Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland (recipient of buko Islamo-bucks) issued a statement back on September 14th, on why Rifqa Bary should be returned to Ohio.

"Child welfare agencies and authorities in Ohio and Franklin County are fully capable of providing for the security and well-being of Ohio's children," the statement said. "The governor believes this is a family matter and therefore would most appropriately be handled here in Ohio with the assistance of the child welfare and foster care system."

"We have no reason to believe that she would be unsafe in Ohio," his statement said."

NOTE: This is the test cases of whether or not apostates from Islam will be protected in the United States. Citizens and residents of the US need to show up in full and demonstrate for Rifqa Bary's human rights, this is the case folks, now its time to make a difference.

As the United States ponders what to do in Afghanistan — and for that matter, in Pakistan — it is wise to understand both the political and the personal, that the very ignorance and illiteracy and misogyny that create the climate for these acid attacks can and does bleed over into the political realm. Nicholas Kristof, the New York Times op-ed columnist who traveled to Pakistan last year to write about acid attacks, put it this way in an essay at the time: “I’ve been investigating such acid attacks, which are commonly used to terrorize and subjugate women and girls in a swath of Asia from Afghanistan through Cambodia (men are almost never attacked with acid). Because women usually don’t matter in this part of the world, their attackers are rarely prosecuted and acid sales are usually not controlled. The thought of an Egyptian magazine championing the dhimmified, cultural suicidal nature of Finland's leaders toward Islam and the Muslim ME, and the policies that they have created to make Finland the destination for future Muslims, should raise the hairs on the back of the heads of all Finns.

It's a Shangri La for the Mohammedans, and ripe for colonization!

Tara Ahmed, a 25-year-old Kurdish woman, came with her husband to Finland seven years ago to work. “There are a lot of services offered to us here,” she says. “Plus, during my seven years I haven’t had one single harassment, assault or discrimination case in any form.”

Like most immigrants, Ahmed and her husband took advantage of the free Finnish language lessons offered by the government, which pays immigrants 8 per day to attend. The government also provides immigrants with a free home, health care for their family and education for their children. In addition, they get a monthly stipend of 367 per adult to cover expenses until they start earning their own living. The government is able to pay for these services due to a progressive tax rate that can exceed fifty percent of a person’s income. Even so, officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed that Finland needs immigrants and that, in the long run, they are not a burden on society

"Somalian Abdinasir Mohamed Ali, 41, head of Al-Rabeta Al-Islamia Fe Finlanda (The Islamic Association in Finland), says that as long as Muslims or minorities don’t break the law, they will be treated well. The association was established in 1987 and regulates Finland’s 40 mosques, providing services such as Arabic and Qur’an lessons with the help of 1,200 member volunteers. According to the association’s records, there are approximately 40,000 Muslims in Finland.

Ali says approximately 2,000 Finnish people have converted to Islam over the past 20 years, the majority in the past two years, and most of them are Finnish women married to Muslim men. Finland native Marika Edom, 44, who converted to Islam a year and a half ago says, “Now that I’m a Muslim, I feel more complete [] I used to feel empty before. I have more friends now than I ever had before. I have strong[er] ties with my Muslim sisters than [those] I had with [the so called friends] I used to hang out with at bars.”

Evil Finns. Yeah, right Marika, the Finns, (your former countrymen) are great in building a real first class state with a robust market economy, but they're entirely too evil to run it, so lets fill it all up with your Muslim pals and then everything will go smoothly. One of the things of course, that Muslim Marika will want Finland to divest itself from, is the sauna culture. Nudity between family members is against the moon-god, so all those bad wood burning and electric saunas will have to be done away with. And since Islam is such a green and environmental friendly ideology, saving the world from the polluting CO2 gasses coming from wood burning saunas is just icing on the cake!

One thing worth noting, is that the Islamic Society of Finland's website, links to such grand Islamic visionaries for humankind, like Sheikh Qaradawi, the religious supremacist, anti-Semite, homophobe and proud supporter of suicide/homicide of Jews in partiular and of infidels in general.

To date, not one Finnish politician, or law enforcement official has condemned the ISF's linking to the racist Islamic cleric, Qaradawi. But yet, the Egypt Today article is all a glow over the fact that Muslims are protected by Finnish politicians and the authorities from being offended, yet the very Islamic organization they laud as being an umbrella organization for Finland's Muslims, links to racists.

It's almost the same if a Christian organization in Finland were to link to a KKK leader or any other white supremacist group. But in this case it's worse, for Qaradawi not only espouses violence and hatred for the non-Muslim, he is given a teflon of credibility by the state, in its refusal to ask the rather easy question of why it tolerates the gross display of intolerance and hatred by the members of the Islamic ideology?

The article then goes on to mention the Halla-aho affair, and read very closely as to how its depicted. The Finns are so dhimmified, that the state didn't wait for Muslims to get offended over the Helsinki city council member, they took it upon themselves to act unitarilly, and my how the Mohammedans are eternally greatfull!

"Khadr says what he likes most about Finland is the tolerance of ethnic minorities. “A prosecutor here in Finland charged a Finnish person just because his writings are insulting to Islam. The man wasn’t charged by an Arab or a Muslim or a Middle Eastern — he was charged by a Finnish official. This is amazing,” he says.

Khadr is referring to the case last August when Finnish Prosecutor Simo Kolehmainen filed charges against Jussi Halla-Aho for “publicly defaming Islam in his writings and blogging,” according to Finnish papers. While many online activists considered it oppression of freedom of expression, many people interviewed for this story said they were relieved as they think Halla-Aho’s writings could lead to unwanted disharmony in their country."

You better believe it was amazing. The way the Finnish state has trampled all over the freedom of speech in Fonland and its appeasment of Mohammedan law, has been appalling. Not all of what this article states is true however, there are plenty of people involved in the media and in politics that are not as thrilled with the prospect of being influenced by Islam as the writer suggests. But the brunt of the article is true, that Finland in general, has been keen on the multiculturalization of the Finnish state, and has allowed for some highly foolish laws and policies to be brought into being and enforced.

The Egypt Today article should stand as a classic example of how Europe is seen, especially the Nordic states and Finland in particular, by those eyeing its wealth and eventual colonization. The parting quote from the article speaks legions of the moronic attitude of some Finnish academics.

Most of the Egyptian immigrants interviewed said they have had few problems adjusting to their new home or preserving their cultural and religious identity and passing it on to their children.

“[The] condition in Finland in comparison to many other countries is quite good,” says Egyptian Ambassador to Finland Maasoum Marzouk.

Mohammed Ahmed, professor emeritus at the University of Joensuu, moved to Finland in 1966 and was surprised by the level of respect he received. “When I first came to Finland [ the university rector] told me ‘It’s an honor for our university to have a person coming from Nasser’s country,’” Ahmed recalls.

Get that folks? A Finnish university dean respected the anti-Semite, Abdel Nasser, the man largely responsible for launching a war of aggression against the Jewish state of Israel. No wonder the Muslim/Arab world likes Finland, the academics, politicians and government bureaucrats have slavish notions, showing themselves to be rather willing and ready to accomodate the Mohammedan masses.

The Finns need to wake up and kick out those politicians who express dhimmi attitudes towards Muslims and Islam, and hold any bureaucrat responsible for doing the same. Time to take back the institutions of learning as well, because it is in these institutions that dhimmitude is being learned, and incapsulated in the various branches of the government. Welcome to Finland

Aside from blonde, Barbie-like women, freezing cold weather and Nokia mobile phones, there is little the general public associates with Finland. Yet, the small country — 338,000 square kilometers — with a population of 5.3 million has a lot to offer tourists and immigrants with an interest in Finnish-Arab trade and cultural exchange.

Among European countries, Finland is remarkable for its tolerance of ethnic and religious minorities, thanks to the government’s clear and strictly implemented laws of equality and the people’s generally curious and friendly nature.

Clashes over Islamic dress, social welfare and other citizenship issues are common in countries such as France and Italy, which have a large population of Muslim immigrants and are often plagued by tense relations between these settlers, the government and the native population. Following the July incident when a German man stabbed a pregnant 31-year-old Egyptian pharmacist, Marwa Al Sherbiny, 18 times in a Dresden courtroom while he was on trial for charges of slander, the media has increasingly focused on concerns of racism and Islamophobia in Europe. In Finland, meanwhile, Egyptians as well as other Arabs and Muslims say they can’t imagine something like this happening in their quiet, safe country.

Transparency International’s 2006 Corruption Perceptions Index ranks Finland number one among 163 countries for the lowest levels of corruption. The country has consistently been at the top of the list, although it fell to number five in 2008, behind Denmark, New Zealand, Sweden and Singapore.

Finland has a long tradition of democracy and women’s rights; in 1906, it became the first country to give women the right to vote and run for office. Voters elected the first female speaker of Parliament in 1994, and in 2000 made current President Tarja Halonen the first woman to hold her position. She was re-elected to a second six-year term in 2006.

The country is also known for its low crime levels and Halonen, 63, is often spotted around the capital, Helsinki, walking, shopping and attending public gatherings unguarded, or with just two guards for more formal gatherings.

Details as to why they murdered the woman is still unclear, but an unmaed Pakistani living in Finland interviewed by the Finnish tabloid paper, Iltalehti, remarked that:

"The marriage relations were generally known in our community and the matter was confirmed when we got the names of those arrested, said one member of the Pakistani community in Finland to the Iltalehti."

So both men decided to murder the woman who besmirched their honor for not telling the second husband of the prior marriage, or something to that effect. It's unclear as to whether she was officially divorced from the first husband before picking up with the second one, and whether an official divorce from the first would have mattered at all. The younger "former husband" (no.2) was the one who killed the woman, with the elder "first husband" contracting the murder. NORWAY WANTS IT'S BOTTLE

AND DRINK FROM IT TOO!

What's with Norway? They want the freedom to unjustifiably drag Israel through mud, and then cry like a bunch toddlers with soiled nappies when they get correctly called out for their anti-Semitic behaviour.

Yesterday's Aftenposten editorial was a childish response to the carefully prepared seminar by Dr.Manfred Gerstenfeld at the JCPA a few days ago in Israel, in which factual examples of anti-Semitism were presented by the JCPA's chairman of the board of fellows.

Dr.Gerstenfeld presented his case that Norway does in fact have a problem with it's understanding of the Jewish state of Israel, and it's inability to discern between proper criticism of its policies, and outright anti-Semitism. The Aftenposten editiorial didn't bother to counter Gerstenfeld's accusations with facts, instead it took to name calling and insinuating that Gerstenfeld is a "blinkered vociferous fanatic and extremist".

According to the Aftenposten, all Norwegian criticism of Israel could never be construed as being anti-Semitic, apparently no matter what is said or written. (They never bother to describe what critism could ever go over the line and be considered anti-Semitic). Truth is, the Norwegian have a low boiling point for being called bigots, no matter how tightly the shoe fits.

The Tundra Tabloids remembers how quick the Norwegian media was to jump all over the Jerusalem Post for it's article that wrongfully reported Finance Minister Kristin Halverson shouting death to the Jews. The paper retracted the story, and then published another report with the proper information.

They were pointing the finger and wagging the tongue of how badly the J'lem Post got it wrong, but they have never retracted a single report about the Gaza War, in which for example, Mads Gilbert, a radical Left-wing doctor was given ample space in the Norwegian media to propagandize for the Hamas. And the how Norwegian media loved him for his efforts!

The doctor even took part in theatrics for the media, in his participation in a staged recsusitation of a dead boy, and after watching the video, there is room for doubt as to whether the boy was indeed dead. Watch closely at the 40 second mark, that's where the fake compression are given, then the fake dialogue between Gilbert and his "assistant".

So don't expect the Norwegian media to retract any bogus accusation it made about Israel during the Gaza war, because for them, no matter how often and how badly they miss the mark in their reporting on Israel, it's all the same. They wrongfully deem Israel as the aggressor and all reporting flows from that ideological viewpoint, backed by their deep anti-Semitic feelings about Jews in general. KGS

David Gaubatz in a lawsuit action filed by the Muslim Brotherhood front group, CAIR, againt the co-author. This indeed is going to get interesting, and let the chips fall where they may. KGS

Free-speech 'super lawyer' battles 'Muslim Mafia'

Widely regarded as a "legendary" First Amendment advocate who has represented the likes of Ronald Reagan, Nelson Mandela and Andrei Sakharov, New York lawyer Martin Garbus has agreed to defend the co-author of "Muslim Mafia" and his son in a lawsuit brought by the controversial Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Garbus, who has appeared before the U.S. Supreme Court along with trial and appellate courts in more than 100 cases, told WND he's defending co-author P. David Gaubatz because his case is a "continuation of a struggle being carried out throughout the world" to guard freedom of speech.

"I think a book has a right to be out there, and any attempt to stop the book, I think, would be violating the First Amendment," he said.

Garbus has been in the thick of numerous ground-breaking and highly controversial First Amendment cases over the past five decades, from Daniel Ellsberg's battle over the Pentagon Papers during the Vietnam War and Lenny Bruce's famous obscenity charges to radio host Don Imus' lawsuit against CBS after he was fired for his remarks about the Rutgers women's basketball team.

Other clients have included activist Cesar Chavez, actor Robert Redford, actor Al Pacino, director Spike Lee, writer Samuel Beckett and Czech playwright Vaclav Havel. Later, when Havel became president of the Czech Republic, Garbus was invited to help write the nation's constitution.

One of his many seminal cases was Ashton v. Kentucky, in which the Supreme Court ruled in 1966 that libel could no longer be criminally prosecuted.

As WND reported, CAIR alleges Gaubatz's son, Chris Gaubatz, who served as an unpaid volunteer for CAIR in a daring undercover operation, obtained access to the D.C.-based Muslim group's property under false pretenses, removed internal documents and made recordings of officials and employees "without any consent or authorization and in violation of his contractual, fiduciary and other legal obligations to CAIR."

My client had this material for a long time, and I presume during that long time other people saw it," Garbus said. "So whatever use is being made of the document, I presume has already been made."

CAIR contends the documents were stolen, but Garbus believes that's "not an issue with respect to whether or not the book should be published. David Gaubatz insists the research described in his book, including securing the documents, "was conducted professionally and legally" in cooperation with law enforcement officials. Relevant material is in the hands of the FBI, he said.

"The agreement to return the documents is hardly, as CAIR officials have irresponsibly suggested publicly, an admission the material obtained in this investigation was stolen. We believe the documents and recordings were all obtained legally," said Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, the parent company of WND Books, which published "Muslim Mafia." "Many of those documents have already been turned over to law-enforcement authorities – not typically the practice of those interested in 'stealing' things. I know the defendants in this lawsuit would prefer to see all the material handed over to law enforcement for review before being returned to CAIR."

Farah added: "But, remember, what is being returned to CAIR are documents that were headed for CAIR's shredder. Once CAIR was eager to dispose of them. Now, suddenly, the group is treating them like they are the crown jewels. Go figure."

If president Barack Obama had been more forthcoming about his original birth certificate, actually allowing the public to see it, instead of depending upon the Lefty blogosphere to present a bogus copy of a COLB (certificate of live birth), that indeed, was proved to have been a forgery by a confidante of Pamela Geller's at Atlas Shrugs, then the there would be no suspicion over Obama's record of birth whatsoever. Period.

Then there is the fact that, Barack Obama, was born, and raised early on as a Muslim. That is not in question, at all. A mystery however, surrounds his conversion to Christianity, which the president maintains that he is, so there's no use trying to refute that. But as an apostate from Islam, Obama lacks the fundamental explanation as to why he left Islam, something of which many Muslims are very keen on explaining since the decision is very controversial, and with life threatening consequences.

All of this need not be an issue if the president was open about it, instead of surrounding them with a wall of silence, which is exactly what he has done concerning his records at Harvard. Suggesting his involvment with jihad is of course silly, but people can be excused for jumping to conclusions when the man refuses to condemn an overt attack on a US military base that murdered 13 people as an act of Islamic inspired terrorism.

Obama himself has done much to create the conspiracy theories floating around himself and his presidency, but doesn't seem too worried in deflating them once and for all, with a complete and open accounting of himself. It shouldn't be too difficult, since it was he who built the wall of silence and obfuscation, he alone can end it, which he should. KGS

Anti-Obama billboard stirs controversy

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. - Call it Freedom of Speech. A billboard recently erected in Wheat Ridge compares President Barack Obama to a terrorist and questions his U.S. citizenship.

The billboard, located at 4855 Miller Road, shows two cartoonish images of Obama wearing a Muslim turban and reads "PRESIDENT or JIHAD?"

It also says "BIRTH CERTIFICATE - PROVE IT!" alluding to the conspiracy theory which claims Barack Obama was born in Kenya rather than Hawaii, which would disqualify him for the office of President.

The words "WAKE UP AMERICA! REMEMBER FT. HOOD!" appear on the bottom of the billboard.

The sign belongs to a car dealership.

"Since Fort Hood, I've had it," owner Phil West told FOX 31 News Friday. "You can't suggest things. You can't profile. You gotta call a spade a spade."

"Everything I have read about Mr. Obama points right to the fact that he is a Muslim. And that is the agenda of what Muslim is all about. It's about anti-American, it's about anti-Christianity," West said.

The Anti-Defamation League condemned the sign, as did AM760 radio host David Sirota, who discussed the sign and interviewed West on his program Friday morning.

"It's out of control," Sirota said. "This conservative hatred of Barack Obama is out of contol, and this brings together all those strands of it: the racism, the anti-Muslim fervor. It's one thing to criticise the president on health care, or Wall Street reform, or immigration. But this is outrageous. And I think it's a fair question to ask why these questions about religion and ancestry are being directed so viciously at the first African-American President of the United States."

Iranian Student Gets Boot By Norwegian Police Worried Over Space Technologies Program Studies

Norway expelled a 36-year-old Iranian student studying space technology earlier this month amid fears his studies may be used to contribute to the Iranian missile program, according to reports Tuesday in the Norwegian media.

Jorn Preserudstuen, police inspector for the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST), told the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation that history has shown a connection between a space program and missile development. He said that the fear was that what the student would learn at Narvik would then be used to develop missiles.

The Norwegian immigration authorities decided not to renew the Iranian student's residence permit, and he left the country two weeks ago after having been ordered to do so within 12 days.

According to the media reports, this was the first time Norway has taken this type of action against a foreign student. UN Security Council Resolution 1737, passed in December 2006, bans the supply of nuclear-related technology and materials to Iran until it stops uranium enrichment.

The Canadian parliament, meanwhile unanimously passed a resolution Tuesday backed by each of the country's four parties condemning the Iranian regime's violation of human rights and its nuclear program.

The Tundra Tabloids has followed the slow progression of the Finnish media in finally coming to terms with the reporting of Islamic honor killings correctly. This sad story may not be the first honor murder in Finland, but it's sure the first being reported as a suspected Islamic honor killing. KGS

YLE: Those arrested in the murder in Lappeenranta are of Pakistani background. The victim murdered in Lappeenranta on Thursday was revealed to have came from Pakistan. Also the two men who are suspected of murdering the woman came from Pakistan. The police have them both in custody.

The police told of the background of both the victim and those arrested on Sunday. The police will bring the men arrested to the Lappeenranta District Court on Monday.

The killing occurred in a private residence in the city of Harapaista. The murdered woman was 34 years old and lived in Lappeenranta. The woman was killed with a knife.

MECCA, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- Muslims are still paying a heavy price for the 9/11 incident and are losing out more with every act of terror, the Custodian of Islam's two holiest mosques King Abdullah was reported as saying by Saudi Arabia's English daily, Arab News.

"Enmity from within, which is the most perilous, can be seen in attempts to kidnap moderate Islam by gangs of ignorant people who propagate rigidity out of fear of everything that is new� without any consideration for the rules of the religion," said the king in his opening speech of the Muslim World League's 10th annual convention here Saturday.

His speech was read out on his behalf by Mecca Governor Prince Khaled Al-Faisal.

"Despite the fact that the (Saudi) Kingdom practices moderation and came into existence under the banner of Islam, it has suffered a lot because of a devious politicised doctrine which has sneaked incognito into the country," he said.

He pointed out that the Kingdom had been successful to a great extent in removing deviant ideologies and closing all doors to them. He was referring to the extremist ideologies propagated by Al-Qaeda supporters.

The king urged Islamic scholars and organisations to stand firmly against deviant ideologies in order to protect Muslim societies from their proponents' nefarious designs and prevent their further spread among Muslim youths.

He said enemies of Islam and Muslims were mobilising their political machinery and the media "to distort our image and create hatred against us." He blamed the irresponsible actions of a few for the anti-Islam campaign.

King Abdullah urged Muslims to play an important role in rebuilding human civilization in this age of science and technology.

"We have to pay more attention to human development and teach our youths contemporary sciences and technologies while giving utmost attention to Shariah subjects and remaining committed to the Islamic constitution," he said.

The king said there was no harm in taking science and technology from others and molding them to suit the moderate Islamic pattern."

ITV newsreader sues for £5m over mimicking of Sir Trevor McDonald

An ITV newsreader is launching a legal action against the broadcaster for up to £5million over claims she was the victim of racist discrimination.

Lisa Aziz, who was the first Asian presenter of a national terrestrial news programme, is taking ITV to an employment tribunal after making a series of allegations against colleagues.

She is understood to have claimed that one colleague mimicked former News At Ten anchor Sir Trevor McDonald. But ITV says it has investigated the 47-year-old presenter’s claims and says they are ‘baseless’.

Ms Aziz was suspended from her position on the news programme West Country Tonight in July after she was accused of fiddling her expenses.

It is alleged that she is to face accusations of gross misconduct after making seven wrongful claims – including a £5.75 bill for dry cleaning a child’s top.

But Ms Aziz is reported to have claimed within legal papers drawn up for her employment tribunal that she was ‘set up’ by senior ITV managers to remove her from her £160,000-a-year job.

The tribunal, scheduled for next March, will examine claims of race, sex and age discrimination. In a recent interview, Ms Aziz claimed she had been ‘targeted for removal’, saying: ‘I have been replaced by four blondes in their twenties and thirties.’

Egypt Muslims burn Christian shops: police

Hundreds of Muslim protesters on Saturday burnt Christian-owned shops in southern Egypt and attacked a police station where they believed a Christian accused of raping a Muslim girl was being held, a police official said.

Police repelled the demonstrators in the town of Farshut using tear gas and also arrested 60 people during the clashes in which seven Coptic Christian-owned shops were destroyed, the official said.

The protesters hurled stones at the police station after they heard that a Coptic Christian man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 12-year-old Muslim was being held there, he said.

Roughly ten percent of Egypt's 80-million-strong population are Coptic Christians, who complain of discrimination and are sometimes the target of sectarian attacks.

Meet the President of Europe

Herman Van Rompuy. Get used to the name. He is the first President of the European Union, which with the ratification of the Treaty of Lisbon by all the 27 EU member states in early November was transformed into a genuine United States of Europe.

The President of Europe has not been elected; he was appointed in a secret meeting of the heads of government of the 27 EU member states. They chose one of their own. Herman Van Rompuy was the Prime Minister of Belgium. I knew him when he was just setting out, reluctantly, on his political career.

To understand Herman, one must know something about Belgium, a tiny country in Western Europe, and the prototype of the EU. Belgians do not exist as a nation. Belgium is an artificial state, constructed by the international powers in 1830 as a political compromise and experiment. The country consists of 6 million Dutch, living in Flanders, the northern half of the country, and 4 million French, living in Wallonia, the southern half. The Belgian Dutch, called Flemings, would have preferred to stay part of the Netherlands, as they were until 1830, while the Belgian French, called Walloons, would have preferred to join France. Instead, they were forced to live together in one state.

Belgians do not like their state. They despise it. They say it represents nothing. There are no Belgian patriots, because no-one is willing to die for a flag which does not represent anything. Because Belgium represents nothing, multicultural ideologues love Belgium. They say that without patriotism, there would be no wars and the world would be a better place. As John Lennon sang “Imagine there’s no countries, it isn’t hard to do, nothing to kill or die for, and no religion too.”

In 1957, Belgian politicians stood at the cradle of the European Union. Their aim was to turn the whole of Europe into a Greater Belgium, so that wars between the nations of Europe would no longer be possible as there would no longer be nations, the latter all having been incorporated into an artificial superstate.

A closer look at Belgium, the laboratory of Europe, shows, however, that the country lacks more than patriotism. It also lacks democracy, respect for the rule of law, and political morality. In 1985, in his book De Afwezige Meerderheid (The Absent Majority) the late Flemish philosopher Lode Claes (1913-1997) argued that without identity and a sense of genuine nationhood, there can also be no democracy and no morality.

One of the people who were deeply influenced by Dr. Claes’s thesis was a young politician named Herman Van Rompuy. In the mid-1980s, Van Rompuy, a conservative Catholic, born in 1947, was active in the youth section of the Flemish Christian-Democrat Party. He wrote books and articles about the importance of traditional values, the role of religion, the protection of the unborn life, the Christian roots of Europe and the need to preserve them. The undemocratic and immoral nature of Belgian politics repulsed him and led to a sort of crisis of conscience. Lode Claes, who was near to retiring, offered Herman the opportunity of succeeding him as the director of Trends, a Belgian financial-economic weekly magazine. It is in this context that I made Herman’s acquaintance. He invited me for lunch one day to ask whether, if he accepted the offer to enter journalism, I would be willing to join him. It was then that he told me that he was considering leaving politics and was weighing the options for the professional life he would pursue.

I am not sure what happened next, however. Maybe word had reached the leadership of the Christian Democrat Party that Herman, a brilliant economist and intellectual, was considering leaving politics; perhaps they made him an offer he could not refuse. Herman remained in politics. He was made a Senator and entered government as a junior minister. In 1988, he became the party leader of the governing Christian-Democrats.

Our paths crossed at intervals until 1990, when the Belgian Parliament voted a very liberal abortion bill. The Belgian King Baudouin (1930-1993), a devout Catholic who suffered from the fact that he and his wife could not have any children, had told friends that he would “rather abdicate than sign the bill.” The Belgian politicians, convinced that the King was bluffing, did not want the Belgian people to know about the King’s objections to the bill. I wrote about this on the op-ed pages of The Wall Street Journal and was subsequently reprimanded by the Belgian newspaper I worked for, following an angry telephone call from the then Belgian Prime Minister, a Christian-Democrat, to my editor, who was this Prime Minister’s former spokesman. I was no longer allowed to write about Belgian affairs for foreign newspapers.

In April 1990, the King did in fact abdicate over the abortion issue, and the Christian-Democrat Party, led by Herman Van Rompuy, who had always prided himself on being a good Catholic, had one of Europe’s most liberal abortion bills signed by the college of ministers, a procedure provided by the Belgian Constitution for situations when there is no King. Then they had the King voted back on the throne the following day. I wrote about the whole affair in a critical follow-up article for The Wall Street Journal and was subsequently fired by my newspaper “for grievous misconduct”. A few weeks later, I met Herman at the wedding of a mutual friend. I approached him for a chat. I could see he felt very uncomfortable. He avoided eye contact and broke off the conversation as soon as he could. We have not spoken since.

MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan (al-Reuters) - Three suspected Taliban militants blew themselves up on Saturday as police chased them in Pakistani Kashmir, police said.

Militants have carried out a series of bomb attacks across Pakistan in recent weeks in retaliation for a military offensive in the northwest, but there have been no attacks in Pakistan's part of the disputed Kashmir region.

The Saturday incident will revive concern that the militants are trying to expand their campaign of violence to distract the military as it makes progress in an offensive in South Waziristan on the Afghan border.

Police said they launched a hunt in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistani Kashmir, after residents reported that three men had dumped a bag of weapons on a road in the center of the town.

"They ran toward the mountains when our men chased them and blew themselves as we got close," Tariq Qayyum, a senior police official, told Reuters.

"Their bodies have blown apart. We have found two heads and a torso."

Kashmir is at the core of a decades-old dispute between Pakistan and India and the cause of two of their three wars since their independence from British rule in 1947.

Geneva: Fake call to prayer, mosque attacked

As it turns out, the anti-minaret vote coincides with the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha.

For the second time in the past ten days, two weeks before the anti-minaret vote, the Petit-Saconnex mosque (Geneva), filed a complaint by the police.

On Saturday, Nov. 7th, the residents were woken up at 7AM by a call to prayer organized by the right-wing group Jeunes identitaires genevois (JIG). The call was made through a megaphone mounted on a car (JIG video here).

JIG chose Saturday since the Muslims organized an open day in mosques across Switzerland that day.

JIG justified their action, saying they needed to inform the people. “We want to show that in case the initiative is rejected, we’re de-facto accepting that in a few years such calls will echo in Switzerland,” they told Swiss newspaper Le Matin.

This past Saturday night, the local mosque was pelted with stones. The windows, shutters, wooden door and granite dome of the entrance were broken, said the imam of the Islamic Cultural Center, Youssef Ibram. Ibram said that the police took away several kilos of stones in order to check for fingerprints and DNA.

This is the first time in 30 years that the mosque has been vandalized, the imam said. He linked it to both the fake muezzin call and to the minaret vote initiative.

The mosque hired a security guard to guard the mosque at night.

Islam has been at war with the Western world for fourteen centuries — since its inception. Muslims all over the world still consider themselves to be at war with non-Muslims; this is why Islam refers to us as Dar al-Harb, the “House of War”.

Unfortunately, Islam is above all a totalitarian political ideology, sugar-coated with the trappings of a primitive desert religion to help veil its true nature. The publicly stated goal of Islamic theology and political ideology is to impose the rule of Islam over the entire world, and make it part of Dar al-Islam, the “House of Submission”.

Widely accepted Islamic theology based in Koranic doctrine explicitly requires that Islam be spread by any and all means necessary, including by violence and mass slaughter, in a process known as jihad, or holy war.

The fact that many Muslims do not support or engage in violent jihad is not germane. If only one percent of Muslim believers take the Islamic mandate of jihad seriously, it means there are over fifteen million people scattered among the world’s Muslims who want to destroy us, and we have no means of determining in advance which ones they are.

Therefore, those who oppose Islamic totalitarian ideology and the expansion of Islam into the West have formed themselves into a coalition known as the Counterjihad.

The goals of the Counterjihad are:

To resist further Islamization of Western countries by eliminating Muslim immigration, refusing any special accommodations for Islam in our public spaces and institutions, and forbidding intrusive public displays of Islamic practices.
To contain Islam within the borders of existing Muslim-majority nations, deporting all Muslim criminals and those who are unable or unwilling to assimilate completely into the cultures of their adopted countries.
To end all foreign aid and other forms of subsidy to the economies of Muslim nations.
To develop a grassroots network that will replace the existing political class in our countries and eliminate the reigning multicultural ideology, which enables Islamization and will cause the destruction of Western Civilization if left in place.

Chavez praises Carlos the Jackal

CARACAS, Venezuela (al-AP) - Hugo Chavez is defending alleged terrorist mastermind Carlos the Jackal, saying the Venezuelan imprisoned in France was a "revolutionary fighter" rather than a terrorist.

The Venezuelan president praised Carlos—whose real name is Ilich Sanchez Ramirez—during a speech Friday night saying: "I defend him. It doesn't matter to me what they say tomorrow in Europe."

Ramirez gained international notoriety during the 1970s and 80s as the alleged mastermind of deadly bombings, killings and hostage dramas. He is serving a life sentence in France for the 1975 murders of two French secret agents and an alleged informant.

"They accuse him of being a terrorist, but Carlos really was a revolutionary fighter," Chavez said during a televised speech to socialist politicians from various countries, who applauded.

Chavez has previously called Ramirez a friend, and a controversy erupted in 1999 after the leftist leader confirmed he had written a letter to him in prison, in response to a note from Ramirez.

Chavez's remarks on Friday were his most strident yet in support of Ramirez. He said he believes Ramirez was unfairly convicted, and called him "one of the great fighters of the Palestine Liberation Organization" at the time.

Ramirez was captured in Sudan in 1994, and whisked in a sack to Paris by French agents. He was convicted three years later.

He is also accused of having a role in two 1982 bombings—on a Paris-Toulouse train and outside the Paris office of an Arab-language newspaper—and is suspected in two other train bombings on Dec. 31, 1983.

The MoD refuses to discuss what happened next. But the leaked account suggests that the Wave Knight stood off and observed while the Chandlers were transferred from their yacht to the Kota Wajar, which then set off back to Haradheere, which it reached without mishap on October 29.

Soon afterwards the two Britons were landed ashore and taken triumphantly into the interior of the country, where they have remained captive ever since, a £4million ransom being demanded for their release.

Last night the Chandlers were seen on TV for the first time, urging the Government to negotiate. They said the pirates are losing patience and ‘will not hesitate to kill us’.

‘The rules don’t help - it is very frustrating for the guys out there to have their hands tied behind their backs.’

The only thing transparent in EU bureaucracy is the naked self serving nature of the elite that run the crooked and highly undemocratic enterprise. The Tundra Tabloids had to laugh at the Finnish media and politicos over the past few weeks who were entertaining the grand notion that one of their own, either Paavo Lipponen or Martti Ahtisaari would get the top spot.

They were all giggly over the prospects of having a Finn in such a high profile position, but never bothered asking the serious questions as to why they would want to be in a union in which back room deals and under the table wheeling and dealings are considered normal. It never occured to many of Finland's staunchest EU supporters that the small nation would lose its hard won sovereignty and that they will be swallowed whole.

Yep, this December 6th, Finland's day of independence is going to take on a whole different meaning, we'll be celebrating the day Finland became a sovereign state, but not as a sovereign state. We joined the EU as an independent country and with the proud legacy of Gustav Mannerheim, now we're slaves to Brussels with Pee Wee Herman as a figurehead president. The little-known Belgian federalist and the Labour peer who has never held elected office were selected at a meeting in Brussels.

EU leaders chose the Belgian prime minister as the first President of the European Council. Britain's European Trade Commissioner was made the High Representative for Foreign Affairs.

The surprise combination emerged after Gordon Brown ended Tony Blair's hopes of becoming president, abandoning his support for his successor and proposing Baroness Ashton for the foreign job instead.

The Prime Minister's switch surprised European leaders, not least because of Baroness Ashton's lack of diplomatic experience.

A former health authority chairwoman made a peer in 1999, she held a string of low-key ministerial posts until last year when she was sent to Brussels as an interim replacement for Lord Mandelson on his return to the Cabinet.

Mr Van Rompuy is a poetry-writing economist almost entirely unknown outside Belgium until he emerged as EU leaders' choice for a president who could not possibly overshadow national leaders.

A staunch advocate of European integration, he has backed policies including a European-wide tax on all financial transactions to fund EU work.

United States Army Major Nidal Hasan told a radical cleric considered by authorities to be an al-Qaeda recruiter, "I can't wait to join you" in the afterlife, according to an American official with top secret access to 18 e-mails exchanged between Hasan and the cleric, Anwar al Awlaki, over a six month period between Dec. 2008 and June 2009.

"It sounds like code words," said Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer, a military analyst at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies. "That he's actually either offering himself up or that he's already crossed that line in his own mind."

Other messages include questions, the official with access to the e-mails said, that include when is jihad appropriate, and whether it is permissible if there are innocents killed in a suicide attack.

Let's get this straight. The Muslims wanting to file a lawsuit against Daniela Santanchè claim to be speaking for all of the Muslims in the world, and that their being "offended" trumps everything else, namely the right to criticize any ideology or religious figure. Funny how that works isn't it? Islam can offend, and does so on a regular basis, hundreds of millions of people world wide, using some of the worst language and mentally retarded logic available. Muslim communities in Italy and several Islamic organizations want to complain against Daniela Santanchè to "stop the vulgarities uttered against the prophet of Islam. "

This was stated by Elzire Izidin, spokesman of UCOII, the Union of Islamic Ummah and Organizations in Italy, in an interview on CBC CnrMedia: "We must see if there is a possibility to sue because it is actually an incitement to hatred and this is unacceptable.
