And boy is she right about the steep learning curve for digiscoping.

Thanks for the bird lesson!dguzmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10095268239622326011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16932358.post-1165246631041722682006-12-04T10:37:00.000-05:002006-12-04T10:37:00.000-05:00I have seen birds like this but didn't realize the...I have seen birds like this but didn't realize there was a specific name like LBJ.

I do windows, nothing else just windows. Although you have the better digiscoping rig, I have an enclosed back porch with sliding glass windows (opened, since I was too lazy to clean them in warm weather and so they are now too dirty to digiscope through) that works as a bird blind. I was able to come and go with minimal disruption, and even had a dog or two for company. Although the porch is unheated, there is an outlet for a space heater for my feet, so I was comfortable enough.

I have much more respect for the photos you post after spending about 3 hours today getting plenty of photos of blurry birds or places where there used to be birds, some actual bird photos that have cluttered backgrounds, awkward shadows, or are poorly composed, and only a few "keepers." The learning curve for this hobby is steep!

~KathiKatDocnoreply@blogger.com
