They posted the results for the Albany-Saratoga autocross on the www.icerace.com website. It is in the forums section. There are also some good photos there. I finished 17th out of 71 cars. Could have done better.

Did an autocross event at Albany-Saratoga today. Dad visited and so did Kate and the kids. The set up a course on the now paved oval. Mostly to slow people down on the front straight. I was able to run 3rd gear wide open down the back straight. Had fun but it was cold. Wide variety of cars. Fastest of the day was the red Miata(turbo) #56. Car is a street car that was driven to the event on the tires it raced. very impressive. Other notable or unusual cars were. Green Studebaker, red Ford GT, Maserati Bi-Turbo, blue Triumph Spitfire(toyota 1.8L), white MG Midget(buick v6).

1 Pound Leeks, sliced
2 Tablespoons Butter
1 Quart Stock
1 Pound Potato, peeled, cubed
Some Milk

Sweat leeks in butter until soft(salt, of course), add stock, boil, add potato, cook. Blend. Add milk, pepper if you want.

Or do it differently.

We went to the Return of the Salmon Festival on Saturday at the Coleman National Fish Hatchery. This is when fall-run chinook salmon return to Battle Creek (and other creeks) to spawn and then die after spending several years in the ocean. We were told that this year's salmon run seems to be both better than last year (which was horrible) and better than expected, but still not all that great. There were also some steelhead coming through, but these were just measured and released upstream.

The white stuff on them is a fungus. At this point in their life they don't eat and don't use any energy for healing wounds (as they would when in the ocean), so any injuries develop a fungal growth.

Rachel in the incubation room. The trays hold the fertilized eggs and have water constantly flowing through them.

The Coleman National Fish Hatchery releases 2 million chinook salmon each year and 200,000 end up returning to the hatchery. I would say that these statistics show pretty good survivorship.
