Fold it into a small rectangular piece, small enough to fit inside the thumb tip. Place this in the thumb tip. Wear the thumb tip on the hand you would normally write with. Have the 1$ bill in your pocket or hold it in your hands. That´s it...you´re ready!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Method:
This is simply the original version to the Dollar To Hundred trick, I discovered it recently so decided to share it with you all, the previous version was one I came up with when I was trying to figure this trick out.

1. Hold the one dollar bill in the hand that you are wearing the thumb tip on.

2. Hold the dollar bill in such a way that it conceals the thumb entirely thus concealing the tumb tip as well.

3. Introduce the bill, and turn it over and back (hide the thumb tip behind the dollar bill during the movement) Note: Hold Dollar bill with both hands.

4. Fold the dollar bill until its a little rectangular shape. Then place both hands together and conceal both hand´s fingers.

5. When the fingers are concealed, use the free thumb of the other hand to slide the thumb tip all the way out, with the thumb which would cause the 100$ bill inside the thumb tip to pop out on your palm.

6. With the thumb that previously wore the thumb tip, jam the 1$ bill inside the thumb tip, and with the jamming, slide your thumb in as well. Thus you end up again wearing the thumb tip.

7. Now you should have the 100$ bill on your finger tip, concealing the thumb tip as well, open the 100$ bill up and show that a 1$ bill has magically turned into a 100$ bill...easy money! Hide the thumb tipwith the hundred dollar bill, as you would be holding the bill fom the hand on which you currently wear the thumb tip.

8. There you go, thats simply the change. I know its a bit confusing, sorry about that, I´m recently working on a video tutorial for the trick, as soon as that is done, I´ll post the link up. After the trick, you can hand out the bill for inspectation. During this time, quickly slide the hand on which you wear the thumb tip (do this move casually) in your pants pocket. Leave the thumb tip their, with the bill and retirve the hand. Their you´re clean. That´s simply the trick!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Advice on Performance:
The only advice I can provide you with is try your best to conceal the thumb tip, as much as you possibly can. This trick will require a lot of practice, but that practice is worth it. The main "slow down" in the trick is when you are changing the bills. Professional magicians can do this move very fast becuase of loads of practice. So try your best and practice A LOT! Hope you liked it, and watch out for the tutorial vid!

P.S.
As promised, here is the link to the video tutorial of the trick.. enjoy! Hope this helps! :D Link: http:⁄⁄www.youtube.com⁄watch?v@V_CpjgwMVMw P.S. Sorry that I go a little fast.. I was filming this from a digital cam so it could only record until 57 seconds... so I had to go fast! :D
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Magic-Maniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250420361142600345noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16873886.post-1142360618444163132006-03-14T10:15:00.000-08:002006-03-14T10:23:38.456-08:00New Link: Card Tricks NOW!Have you ever wanted a website that ONLY features card tricks, nothing besides that, teaches you all you would need to know about sleights, flourishes, cuts, passes, and BEST OF ALL, TRICKS!

Well than, you have found the right post on this site! Just check it out yourself, scroll down and read the trick and its explanation below!

***************************************************************
Learn TO Amaze Magic Series- Vol. 1

-The Visual Card Melt-
Effect:
The spectator is displayed 3 cards. The order of the three cards is as follows: AS, AD, AC. The magician tells the spectator to concentrate on the AD. The magician now turns the cards over (face-down) and squares them up. This done the magician starts rubbing the cards with his/her middle finger and thumb. After this he or she stops. And slowly turns the cards over. The spectators, AD, has visually melted thru the AC and landed in its place, and now the middle card is the AC. This procedure, once repeated, brings the AD back to its original position (in the middle) leaving the AC, in its orignial place (the bottom). An Absolute Baffler!

Method:
This is a great trick, it doesn´t require any practice whatsoever, but always has the spectator saying: "Huh? How did that happen?" At the end of it, thats your garantee. Now back to the method of this trick:

1. First, take out the AS, AD and the AC from the deck.

2. This done, the rest of the deck can be discarded.

3. Arrange the three aces in the following order:AS, AD and AC.

4. Now tell the spectator to concentrate on the center-most card (the AD).

5. Turn the cards over face-down, and square them up.

6. Place the cards between your middle finger and thumb and start rubbing them (the should go from side-to-side).

7. You will notice, that the "rubbing" is causing the center card (AD) to slip out from between the two black cards.

8. Secretly, grab this ace once it is mostly out (distract the audience with some patter) and slip it to the bottom. (Thus, you have caused the bottom card, AC, to slip to the middle, and now the bottom card is the AD).

9. Stop the rubbing. Square the three cards up, and slowly start to turn them over, give them a one-handed fan and show the audience (or spectator) that the AD is now on the bottom and the AC in the middle. (You can also say: "Hey, look the AD has visually melted thru the AC!"

10. To switch them back to their orignal places, just repeat the rubbing, and switch the middle card (AC) to the bottom of the packet, this caused the AD to return to its original place, the middle, Amazing!

Advice on Performance:
This is a brillaint effect that has never yet failed to astound my audience, as I preform this trick a lot of times as a "Street Magic trick", me being a street magician. But this trick will work well in any stage show performance, because it will still have the audience amazed at the end, and it doesn´t require any practice (anyway try practicing the rubbing bit before preforming it in front of an audience). I saw this video performance of this magician performing thie Card Melt, and it was on sale for about $12. So I decided to make up my own method on how this trick may work, and I came up with the result above. I know its not much, and I also know it may not give the exact SAME effect as the video performance I saw, but still its very much like that. I´m sorry I don´t have the link to the video performance, but as soon as I do, I´ll be sure to post it on, so you can see how it looks like! In the meanwhile, hope you enjoy the trick.

************************************************************
This is a great trick, always has the spectator gapping at the end! And thats my garantee to you! Try it, it may require a bit of practice but it's still worth it! This is a trick well worth the practice you don't want to miss it!

I hope you enjoy this trick, and let me know what you think of it at: magic-tricks@hotmail.com I love to ehar from you, and I will always be prompt to reply to your mails, so don't hesitate at ALL!

With Best Regards,

Magic-Mania

Magic-Maniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250420361142600345noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16873886.post-1140475752287607572006-02-20T14:21:00.000-08:002006-02-20T14:49:12.373-08:00E-book Poll: Your VOTE Counts!Hi,

I am Magic-Mania (the owner of the website), and I would like to thank everyone one who signed up to our "Free Weekly Magic Tricks" newsletter. The spectator agrees. The magician then fans the deck, and lets the spectator choose any card. Then the magician places this card on the top of the deck. The magician turns the top card over and shows the spectator their chosen card (lets say its the Nine of Spades), the magician takes this card, and infront of the spectator, places it IN THE MIDDLE of the deck (the face of the card can be facing the spectator for this trick). Once the spectators card is "jutted" into the middle of the deck, the deck is handed to the spectator to shuffle. After the spectator is done shuffling, the magician instructs the spectator to place the deck aside. Now the magician asks the spectator: "You know that, that Mystery Card was in your site the whole time, right? I didn´t touch it or anything, right?", the spectator agrees to this. Then the magician asks the spectator to turn the card over, to the spectators great astonishment, the Mystery Card was their chosen card (Nine of Spades)!

Preparation:
A little preparation is required for this trick, but its still a great effect. What you need to do is get a duplicate of any card in your deck (if you have a duplicate of card but not the same backs: eg. Bicycle deck and the Bee Deck, in this case you can glue an "extra card (Joker)" from the Bicycle deck and glue that to your duplicate card (for example: the Nine of Spades) take the Nine of Spades form the Bicycle Deck and place it on the top of the deck, and take the other Nine of Spades (from the Bee Deck, with the bicycle back glued to it) and put this "Mystery Card" aside on the table. Now discard the Bee deck, and sqaure the bicycle deck up and place it aside.

Method:
This is a wonderful trick which the spectator will always love, this trick is a great illusions and has been preformed in many different ways, but here´s the one I liked the most, here´s my way:1. Tell the spectator about the Mystery Card. Say this is a very mysterious card and it knows all. Tell the spectator to NEVER take their eyes off this card. (This won´t matter since you´ve already prepared it)2. Secondly , make sure the Nine of Spades is still on the top of the deck. You can make sure of this by fanning the deck (face up) to show the spectator that the deck is not arranged in any way whatsoever.3. Now square the deck up and let the spectator choose any card in the deck by fanning it out (face down). Tell the spectator to place their chosen card on the top of the deck . Now when this is done, start squaring the deck up. While doing this push the spectators card to second position from the top, this can be done by using your thumb. This must also be done fast. 4. Now take the deck in one hand and have the spectator turn the top card over, to reveal their chosen card (Nine of Spades). Give them the rest of the deck and their card, and ask them to place their card anywhere in the deck they so choose, after this ask them to shuffle the deck as much as they choose and then tell them to put the deck aside.5. Its the time for the grand conclusion. Ask the spectator: ""You know that Mystery Card was in your site the whole time, right? I didn´t touch it or anything, right?", the spectator agrees to this. Then ask the spectator to turn the card over, to the spectators great astonishment, the Mystery Card was their chosen card (Nine of Spades), this will have them amazed for ages, only you knwo the secret to how its done.

Advice on Performance:
This is an absolute stunner, it will always have the spectator shocked completely. He can sign it if he wants. The card is then placed in the deck and the deck is shuffled. A rubber band is then rapped around the deck to keep anything from falling out of the deck, and to hold everything in. The deck is then thrown at the ceiling, and as the rest of the deck falls, the chosed card mysteriously stays on the ceiling, as if still trying to float up into the night sky....

Preparation:Simple trick i posted in the forums for someone asking about it. I seen this trick done once, my friend Adam did it for someone at his magic store, where i hang out all weekend. I dont even know if this is the right performance, but it works great. Heck, i dont even know the name of the trick i just made it up... anyways... all you need is a deck of cards, a rubberband, and magicians was, tape, or stickytac.

Method:
Ask the spectator to choose a card. You never even need to know what the card is, so it can be anything and you never need to know untill you find out at the end. As an additional option, you can have them sign the card for an additional effect. You could even creat a story line where you force them to choose a king and explain that he is an alien or something who isnt affected by gravity, USE YOUR IMAGINATION. Anyways, have them take a card or sign it or whatever, and put it in the deck. Then force the card to the top using whatever false cuts you want or whatever, to make them think you shuffeled their card into the deck. Then take the rubberband and put it on the deck liek this, take the rubberband and put it on a corner, then go to the opposit corner and wrap it around that corner. Say you wrap it around the bottom left corner, then go behind the deck, and put the other side of the rubberband on the top right corner. Not that complicated, jsut sounds like it is. That will allow the card to slip out of the deck in a moment. Now that the rubberband is on, then secretely put some magicians wax or whatever you decide to use on the top card, which just so happens to be their card. Then throw the deck at the ceiling. Let gravity do the rest. What happens is the card sticks to the ceiling, and sice the deck has more weight than the single card, it will fall, and the card will slide out of the rubberband, and the rest of the cards will fall down, still held together. This is a total baffeler if done correctly. Have fun with this one, and when you practice, make sure to have a ladder with ya....

Comments:
If you know what this trick is really called and the actual performance, please reply to this message. The spectator then replaces their card to the top of the deck, the magician turn the top card over to show it NOT to be the spectators. Then he/she holds the card between his/her finger and gives it a nice "snap" or "flick" with his/her fingers. After this, the spectator stares, jaw-dropped, at the magician, because after the flicking motion, the magician had just made the previous card change to the spectators chosen one!

(As shown on national T.V. by Criss Angel and David Blaine)

Method:

This is a wonderful trick, which will always leave the spectator in a "jaw dropped" stage for the conclusion. Even though this trick is a marvel, it requires a great deal of practice to perfect. Here´s the procedure.

1. First, fan out the deck and let the spectator have a free choice of any card they choose.

2. Square the deck up when the spectator is viewing their card, and place their card on the top of the deck.

3. Wave your hand above the deck, and concentrate on it as if trying to see something not visible to the human eye.

4. Using the method of the double-lift, lift the top two cards to show them as one.

5. The spectator is sure to be amazed to find the "top" card not to be their very own chosen card.

6. You can discard the deck at this point.

7. Hold the right bottom corner of the two cards,(showing them as one) with the index and middle fingers.

8. This is the tough part. Tell the spectator that you are about to preform the impossible! This next step must be done fairly quickly, to ensure the "snap change".

9. Just like you would snap your fingers, you snap the two cards. This should cause the middle finger to go back toward the palm holding the front or top card, and then the spectators chosen card would be visible to them. The index finger and thumb would be holding the spectators card, but the middle finger would be pulled out from view holding the very first card, which the magician had shown not to be the spectators.

10. From the audience point of view, the middle finger holding the previous card, would be completely masked. Thus the can´t see it at all.

11. You have to be able to preform the "Snap Change" fast so no blunders occur.

12. To conclude the trick, keep your fingers in the position after preforming the "Snap Change". Now what you would have is the top card sticking out from the back of your hand. Take the deck in one hand, and start distracting the spectator by saying things like :" So, whe was the last time you saw a magic trick?" While saying this draw the deck toward the card placed in between your middle finger.Let the card slip out, thus it falls on the top of the deck. Place the deck back on the table, or your lap.

13. Now you can show the spectator the card in your hand, and also show them you had no other card whats so ever in your hand at all for the trick.

Advice on Preformance:

This is a great trick, I have preformed it many times, always concluding to thunderous applause. This trick is though, somewhat complicated to do. A magician needs to get natural with the Snap Change, snap step. This is usually the part where many illusionists tend to mess up. Remember, think about what it should look from the audience´s point of viiew. And practice makes perfect, so keep practicing until you can fool your very self!!

Magic-Maniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250420361142600345noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16873886.post-1135987559237661932005-12-30T15:57:00.000-08:002005-12-30T16:05:59.250-08:00Famous Dollar-TO-HundredEffect: A crisp one dollar bill is shown, the hands are shown to be completely empty, then the magician takes the dollar bill, squeezes it between his fingers, and then reveals it to be, miraculously, a hundred dollar bill!

(As shown by Criss Angel and David Blaine on national T.V)

Preparation: You need a dollar and a hundred bill. Fold both the bills in half. They should be two half-folded bills. Take the hundred dollar bill and glue one flap of it on one flap of the one dollar bill. Once this done you should have two dollar bills, one side of each bill glued together.

Method:

Now it is time for the amazing performance of Dollar to Hundred.

1. First fold the back dollar bill (hundred dollar bill) towards its already folded
and glued half, to complete the half of the Hundred Dollar Bill.

2. Now, display the one whole side of the One Dollar Bill to the audience, you can
Fold it slightly inwards (not too much or else the other folded hundred dollar
Bill would become evident) so the audience can see BOTH the sides of the Dollar Bill.

3. After you have displayed the one dollar bill to the audience, fold it lengthwise. Make sure you don’t let go of the hundred dollar bill flap on the back of the One Dollar Bill.

4. Cover the one dollar (folded) bill with your fingers. (The next move must be done fairly quickly), you turn the bill quickly over, make sure your fingers are still masked around the bill.

5. Now, you should have the one dollar bill facing you, and the hundred dollar bill facing the audience, yet still masked with your fingers. Unfold the top flap of the hundred dollar bill (which obviously wasn’t glued to the one dollar bill).

6. Reveal the hundred dollar bill, you can also slightly fold the non-glued part of the outward, just to show the audience that the one dollar bill had actually just turned into a one hundred dollar bill!! After this you can put the bill in your pocket, and bow to the audience at their thunderous applause!

Advice and Tips for Performance:

This is one of the greatest tricks that you would ever be able to perform. But just like all of my
other tricks, this trick also requires a lot of practice. You can review the trick several times in
front of a mirror just to perfect. When the can is opened, the signed coin is poured out!
A similar effect (Sinful aka Quarter through Soda Can) is performed by Criss Angel on his 'Mindfreak' series. This method is not necessarily how Criss Angel performs it, but the effect is similar.
After the spectator has signed the coin, the magician takes it, places it in his palm, and takes an unopened soda can in his other, bottom facing the coin.
Then, he looks at both, and hits the can with his right hand (the one with the quarter), and shows his hand empty when removed, then the soda still sealed, the bottom solid.
He then opens the can, pours it out, and shows that the coin is indeed IN the can!
advice
This trick is a somewhat complex piece of work, you need not know any well-known sleights, but just get a feel of how to hide small things and tell stories and make yourself look professional. Out of a 1-10 scale on difficulty, I'd give it an 8. The magician asks the spectator
to memorize a card (not tell them the card), and just point to the column the card is in. After repeat-
ing this trick 2-3 times, the magician places all the cards on top of the deck and squares them out.
After explaining to the spectator what ABRACADABRA means, the magician flicks a card and shows it
to the spectator, soon followed by a thunderous applause!

Preparation: Take 21 cards from the deck and set them in 3 columns, seven cards per column. (As shown in the picture to the left: Courtesy of goodtricks.net) Set the cards up neatly as shown in the picture to the left.
Procedure:

Start off by asking the spectator to choose any of the cards shown in the columns.

When the spectator has chosen their card, ask them to point to the row that contains their card.

When you have gained knowledge of the row, then one-by-one pick up the cards of a seperate row then the chosen one.

Now pick up the cards of the chosen row, and then pick up the cards of the last row.

Repeat steps 1-4 two times, every time when you have delt out the cards ask the spectator to point to the row containing their chosen card.On your third turn you would already know the spectators card because it would be the forth from the top of the "pointed" column.

Once you have successfully completed that step, pick up all the cards and square them out. (Making sure you take the most recently "pointed to row" that suggests that the spectators card the second).

The Conclusion:

There are two ways in which to conclude this trick:

You can turn the forth card from the top face down after the third turn to thunderous applause.

You can square the deck out (thus it's face down) and explain that the word ABRACADABRA is a very magical word which changes and truly defies nature! After you're done with this explaination, say that for this trick I will be using that very word, and using ABRACADABRA deal out the cards face down . So you would be spelling A-B-R-A-C-A-D-A-B-R-A , at the last A you should have 10 cards already dealt out onto the table, pause for a beat at the 11th letter of ABRACADABRA, and turn over the card to reveal it to be the spectators!

Note from Magic-Mania:

I have to say that this trick has always given me a positive response from my vivd audience. If you follow the steps listes above very carefully, you will be able to master this trick in no time , though I suggest you practice it a little before you debut preformance! Secondly, I prefer the second conclusion to the Twenty-One Pick, because it leaves more of a dramatic impact upon the spectator. Lastly, I hope you enjoy this trick as much as I have preforming it!

With Best Regards,

Magic-Mania

Magic-Maniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250420361142600345noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16873886.post-1129385392579635892005-10-15T06:57:00.000-07:002006-01-04T11:07:46.896-08:00Submission of your own Magic Tricks

This must be the most shortest entry that I have ever written. But recently I learned, that many people have developed their very own magic tricks and magic stories. My friend told me to put some of your ideas up on my website. So here's the deal: since this is a magic (all magic stuff) website I will also be accepting any Magical stories (such as: Harry Potter (your own version). You will also be able to send in your magic tricks, that you have originally made or created and would prefer to share your knowledge of magic with the world. I will be accepting all of this by e-mail. If you would like to send in any of the above , please note: that anything you send me should have your e-mail address on it (so I can e-mail you back and tell you wether or not if I've put your article of magic on my website). I hope to get a lot of e-mail on: magic tricks, magic stories, suggestions, comments, questions or requests. So start sending in your wonderful entries.

To send any magic related objects, please e-mail me:

magic-tricks@hotmail.com

Thank you

Magic-Maniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250420361142600345noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16873886.post-1128552953346840552005-10-05T15:51:00.000-07:002005-12-30T10:05:15.510-08:00The Shaman: Blow them Out!
The Shaman Professional Card Trick

Effect: The spectator chooses a number between 1-7. The magician deals that many cards out, the magicians appoints a card to the spectator saying "This is your Card for this trick". He/She makes another packets of small cards, all in front of the spectator. They put the packets back, shuffle of some cards and then suddenly they turn the top card over to reveal it to be the spectators!

(This affect has been preformed by Brad Christian on Ellusiontist.com)

Method: This trick always leaves a great impact upon everyone who watches it! Though you may wanna keep it to one spectator at a time. Here is how to preform this trick:
1. Get hold of a deck of cards. Now ask your spectator to think of a number between 1-7.
2. Ask them to tell you the number they so chose. Lets suppose they chose the number 4.
3. Now you would shuffle the deck randomly in front of them and deal out four random cards (face down)
4. Put this small packet of cards on the side, and tell the spectator this will be used for later on in the trick.
5. Now deal out 10 cards on to the table (Deal Cards out form LEFT-to-RIGHT).
6. Since for this example we used the number 4, you would turn the forth card from the pile of ten cards over, and that would be the spectators card for that trick.
7. Turn the forth card back over and start collecting the cards from left to right.
8. once you have the ten cards back in your hands, place this packet of cards on the top of the deck.
9. Now take the small packet of 4 cards that you had originally made in the beginning of the trick, and place that over the whole deck of cards.
10. Once this is done, you will deal out 11 cards on to the table from the top of the deck. If you choose you can spell out A-B-R-A-C-A-D-A-B-R-A, while dealing the cards out.
11. Turn the 11th card from the dealt out cards over, and to the spectators suprise, it would be their card!
12. You can choose to end the trick in whichever way you wish, but make sure that you always deal the 11 cards in right order or else the trick will get messed up.

Advice on Performance:
This is a very easy and simple trick to preform. I have noticed that as many times as I preform this trick. I have always gotten a positive response. But there is a secret to this trick, ALWAYS preform in front of DIFFERENT PEOPLE. This will always ensure that no chance of detecting the secret of the trick will ever pass the spectator's eyes! Have fun with this one, and don't overdo it!!!

Magic-Maniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250420361142600345noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16873886.post-1127778603545258972005-09-26T19:46:00.000-07:002005-09-26T16:50:03.550-07:00Card Trick: Card on the Ceiling

Card On The Ceiling

Courtesy of: http://www.goodtricks.net/
Effect: A spectator selects, signs and returns a card to the deck. But yet again like all of these or well the previous card and coin magic tricks, this trick requires: PRACTICE, PRACTICE, and......PRACTICE! This trick is an intensely amazing trick which is definite to surprise and amaze all the spectators. When I first attempted this trick, I honestly failed greatly. I couldn't get the hold of it. It is a very complicated trick. You also need: either a fairly wide hand, or a fairly small deck of cards to preform this trick, without this..well... I have discovered that you will NOT be able to preform the trick without this. You can buy a small deck of cards, not tiny, but small deck of cards at your closest dollar or convienience/Bargain store. When you have your deck, all you need now is a whole lot of practice. I say that you should practice this trick for atleast a week, 20 minutes daily and you will egt the hold of it. I did. The cards must not be shuffled or disturbed in any way, but the performer can cut the cards and have several spectators do a straight cut. This will not disturb the order of the cards. This master system arrangement of the cards is far more impressive than just arranging them in numerical order in the suits i.e 2,3,4,5,6, e.t.c. as this sequence looks completely random to the spectator who will not suspect that the cards have been pre arranged.

The cards must be stacked as shown in the table below, by first placing the ace of clubs on to a table face up, then the four of hearts and so on until the whole pack is set in the master system order. This order is also known as the Si Stebbins order
Clubs
Hearts
Spades
Diamonds
Ace
4
7
10
King
3
6
9
Queen (Arrange Your Cards in this Order)
2
5
8

Jack
Ace
4
7
10

King
3
6
9

Queen
2
5
8
Jack

Ace
4
7
10

King
3
6
9

Queen
2
5
8

Jack

Ace
4
7
10
King
3
6
9

Queen
2
5
8
Jack
Rule 1 Each card has a numerical value, Ace=1, jack=11, queen=12 and king=13. Rule 2 Each card is THREE numbers apart, Ace, 4, 7, 10, etc. Rule 3 Every thirteenth card is a card of the same value, but a different suit.
Master System trick 1: Fan out the cards, ask a spectator to pick a card, separate the pack at that point, placing the top half on to the bottom of the pack while secretly glancing at the bottom card, you will instantly know the spectator's card. Simply add 3 to the bottom card value and call the following suit. You now know the card value so you can improvise your own tricks from here.

Master System Trick 2: A spectator cuts the pack, you take them and secretly glance at the bottom card as you put them behind your back, ask the spectator to name a random card, you then pull it from the pack. Simply add three to the bottom card and increment the next suit, this is the value of the top card. Now just count through the cards until you come to their card, where you pull it out and show them.

Master System trick 3: Cut the pack a couple of times, then secretly glance at the bottom card as you pass the pack to a spectator, mentally add three to the bottom card and increment the next suit, this is the value of the top card. Ask them to cut the pack into four piles. Announce you are going to predict the top card off of each of the four packs. You already know the card on the first pack, so start from the opposite end and name card you already know, then when you pick up the card you will then be able to see its true value, then you name that card before you pick up the second card and continue to do this until you have named all four cards. Then simply show the cards you have just named to the spectator.

Master System trick 4 : Hold the pack of cards in your right hand and slowly let them drop into the palm of your left hand, asking your spectator to say "stop" where ever they want. Secretly look at the bottom card of the remaining pack in your right hand and ask the spectator to take the top card of the pack in your left hand and memorize it. Tell them they must concentrate on their card, you then name their card.

Master System trick 5: Tell the spectator that you can tell them how many cards down the pack their chosen card is and ask them to choose any card, number and suit. Then locate the card with the same suit as the one named by the spectator, which is nearest to the bottom. Subtract the number of the card chosen from the card of the same suit nearest the bottom of the pack. Then multiply the answer by four and then subtract the number of cards that were below the bottom suit card, the result will be how many cards down from the pack you must count to reach the spectator's chosen card. If the chosen card is a higher value than the suit card on or nearest the bottom of the pack, just add 13 and proceed as above. For example: if the spectator chooses the 9 of diamonds and the card with the same suit nearest the bottom is a 5 of diamonds, you will need to add 13 to the 5 of diamonds, making a total of 18. Now subtract their card, the 9 of diamonds from 18, this leaves the number 9, multiply 9 by 4, which equals 36, then subtract the number 2 (which is the number of cards below the bottom suit card). This totals 34, so the 9 of diamonds is 34 cards down from the top of the pack.
Thoroughly learn this Master System and practice it well, you will then be able to improvise and create your own tricks based on The Master System, this is one of those tricks that once you have mastered it, you will wonder how you managed without it.
Hint: To remember the order of the card suits, it is useful to think of the word CHASED i.e CHaSeD

Note from MagicMania:

To perfect this trick you need to...well you guessed it...practice, practice, practice!!! Telekinesis
Courtesy of: http://www.magicbob2000.com/tricks.html
EFFECT: Magician offers to demonstrate Telekinesis. He places a full length pencil on a book and mysteriously waves his hands over the pencil as he bends his head down and mumbles some magic phrases. The pencil starts to magically move without being touched.
METHOD: The pencil is placed so that it just balances on the edge of the book. When the Magician bends his head he secretly blows on the book on his side of the pencil, at the point marked "X", causing the pencil to move or rotate mysteriously.

Free Magic Trick #6. Levitation
EFFECT: Magician borrows a wedding ring and slides it down over his wand. He leans toward the ring starring at it intently. He makes a magic gesture and the ring slowly rises up the wand. With another gesture the ring slides down the wand. He removes the ring and returns it to the spectator. The wand may be handed out for inspection.
METHOD: A piece of black sewing thread, about three feet long is attached to the top of the wand with Magician's Wax which is available at magic stores. You may tie it tightly on and glue it in place. Tie the other end to your belt or a lower button hole. Place the borrowed ring down over the wand and thread. Adjust the length of thread so that when you lean forward and pull your waist back the thread is pulled and the ring raises up the wand.If you use Magician's Wax you can secretly remove the wad of wax from the wand allowing you to hand it out for inspection. Click on Magic Wands above for wands, or you can make one out of plastic tubing, a jumbo pencil or other smooth rod.

Free Magic Trick #7, Coin Vanish
Effect: Magician states that he can make a coin vanish merely by rubbing it on his elbow. The first two times he tries he fails. But open the third time vanishes into thin air. He then reproduces it from his ear (or some other unlikely place).
Method: The magician borrows a coin from a spectator, taking it with his right hand. He places the coin in his left hand. He places his right elbow on the table and rests his chin on his right fist. As he starts to rub the coin on his elbow he pretends to drop it on the table. He picks it up with his right hand and places it in his left. He again starts to rub his elbow and drops the coin. He picks up the coin with his right hand and pretends to put it in his left. Actually he secretly keeps it in his right hand. He again rubs the pretend coin on his right elbow but his time he takes his left hand away and the coin appears to have vanished. He then pretends to take the coin out of his ear.

Key Points By Magic-Mania:

-Keep in mind that practice makes perfect- so keep on working hard even when you can't get hold of the trick. It is always good to practice the trick in from of a friend before presenting in front of an audience.

- Try to find different ways to preform the trick every time, this helps to keep the suspicious eyes of the spectators who had already viewed the trick quite confused. Though, it is quite complicated to find many proper method to preform the trick, well one tip is you can perhamps switch the sequence of the trick, from here and there. This is quite the boggler for the many spectators who reckon they know how the trick is done.

- If you don't already have any magical items, such as the well-magician known "Bicycle" deck, you may want to purchase that now, they are very cheep to buy from some sites such as: http://www.magicshow.com/ and http://www.magictricks.com/ . This move is timeless and you will be able to perform an impressive coin vanish after following this easy guide.
Effect:
Amazing audience reaction because even though it's clear your hand is empty, you appear to have vanished a coin from the spectators hand, right in front of their eyes !!!
You Will Need :
1 coin A good line of patterPractice
How To Do The Trick :
1. Place the coin on the back of the spectators outstretched hand.
2. Bring your hand over the spectators hand and with your thumb and forefinger held together, directly over the coin, snap your thumb and forefinger.
3. The magician's thumb and forefinger should be positioned so that during the snap, the forefinger will flick the coin up his sleeve
4. The magician can then proceed to roll up his sleeve to show that the coin is not there. ( the coin should be allowed to fall out of the sleeve into the magicians hand at the beginning of the rolling up the sleeve move and kept hidden in the palm.) The spectator should still be baffled at this point and not notice this subtle move .
This trick although deceptively simple, requires practice. If you practice enough to perform this trick smoothly, then you will reap the rewards of performing a very satisfying magic trick.

There's a Hole in My Pocket
The Effect: Borrow a coin and have it marked. You say that you are always losing money through a hole in your pocket and then you drop the marked coin into your pocket. "What's weird", you say, "is that the hole isn't in this pocket (the one in which you dropped the coin), but in this one!" You lift up your other foot and the borrowed marked coin is there!
The Method: You need an extra coin. (Well, how did you think it was done?) Most people have a quarter on them, so let's say you want to borrow a quarter. On an "off moment", secretly place the extra quarter under your left foot. (I sometimes adjust my socks and stick it under the shoe.) Have someone loan you a quarter and ask them to mark it in some unusual way with a pen.
Take the quarter and just drop it into your right trouser pocket. Shake your leg as if you are shaking the coin into the hole and down your leg. Then say, "What's weird is that the hole isn't in this pocket (the one in which you dropped the coin), but in this one!" You lift up your other foot and the borrowed coin is there!
Then - and here's where you've gotta have guts - pick up the coin with your right hand and place it (don't drop it!) into the right trouser pocket as you pick up the other coin with the same hand. (Just switch them.) With your hand still in the pocket, look confused and say, "I'm sorry, did you lend me this or was it mine?" He'll tell you it was his and you'll return his coin (the marked one). He'll, of course, inspect the coin for the mark. It's gutsy, but it works.

These tricks were all from the amazing coin and many other tricks website: http://www.goodtricks.net/ . Say you will make an extra coin by rubbing them together.
Rub the coins quickly backwards and forwards against each other. It looks as if there are three coins, not two.
It is almost certain that a spectator will mention that this is only an optical illusion.
Now is the time to close your fist and re open it showing the three coins
Method : You need a hidden coin in a classic palm position. One coin is picked up by the right hand and placed into the left hand. A second coin is picked up and placed in the left hand along with the first coin. The third coin is placed into the right pants pocket.
The left hand is opened to show that the third has travelled by magic into the left hand, making a total of three coins! The three coins are then dropped onto the table.
This entire sequence is repeated again revealing the coin has again travelled back into the left hand. The three coins are dumped onto the table.
This time the magician drops one coin into his left hand and places two coins into his pocket. Now when the left hand is opened, instead of the coins travelling back into the hand, the coin transforms into one big coin - a half dollar.
Preparation: To do this you need you need four coins instead of three. Ahha, that's the secret! You also need a larger coin for the transformation. I like to use four quarters and a silver dollar. I've also used four nickels and a half dollar. Basically you want to have a definite difference in the size of the coins, so that the transformation will be more dramatic.
Here's what you do before you start:
(I'll assume that you're going to use four nickels and a half dollar.) Place the big coin into your right jacket pocket. The extra, (4th) nickel is hidden in the right hand. Just try to relax the hand and not grip the coin with too much force. The other three nickels are on the table.
Performance: Pick up one coin from the table with the right hand, (don't let anyone see the hidden coin.) Place this coin into the left hand. Say to audience, "One coin in my hand."
(As soon as the left hand has the coin - make sure to close that hand.)
Grab another coin from the table. Place this coin into the left hand along with the first coin, but, at the same time secretly drop the hidden coin into the left hand as well, making a total of three coins. Say," Two coins in my hand." (Make sure to close your left hand after the coins are in it.) The audience believes that you have two coins in your left hand. Pick up the last, (apparently 3rd coin) from the table with your right hand and openly place it into your right pocket. Say, "And a coin goes into my pocket." But that's not what really happens! Here's what's really going on: you pretend to place the coin into your right pants pocket, but really come back out with it hidden in your right hand. Just let your hand relax naturally by your side.
"Did you see it jump back?" As soon as you say this, open your left hand and dump three coins onto the table to show that the 3rd coin has magically jumped from your pocket and back to your hand! (Everyone will be watching the three coins so the heat will be off the hidden coin it your right hand.)
Now repeat the sequence again. The right hand picks up a coin and places it into your left hand; make sure not to expose the hidden coin in your right hand. Pick up another coin with your right hand and drop in into the left hand at the same time secretly adding the hidden coin. (You now have three coins in your left hand, but the audience is only aware of two.)
Now this is where we change it up for the big finish. The right hand picks up the last coin from the table and places it into the right pants pocket as before, but this time you really do drop the coin into your pocket and grab the big coin, (half dollar or silver dollar; depending on what you're using) and bring your hand out of your pocket keeping the big coin hidden from the audience. (Relax your right hand by your side.) Open your left hand and dump three coins on the table to show that the coin has travelled back again!
Ok, here's the final sequence:
(You have three coins on the table with the big coin hidden in your right hand.) "This time we will do it backwards. One coin in my hand." Pick up one of the coins from the table with your right hand and apparently place it into the left hand. What you really do is switch the coins. The right hand drops the big coin into the left hand while holding back the small coin. This takes a little practice, but it's not hard as it sounds. The closing of the left hand around the coin will cover the fact that you've switched them. This is the most important part of this coin trick. If you can this move smoothly, the coin trick will amaze everyone!
At this point the closed left hand has the big coin inside of it. (The audience thinks it has a smaller coin.) The right hand has a small coin secretly hidden in it. (There are two coins left on the table.) "And these two will go into my pocket." The right hand with its hidden coin picks up the final coins (at the same time) from the table and drops all three coins into the right pants pocket. Now you are clean. The left hand has the big coin and the right hand is empty. Casually show that your right hand is indeed empty.
At this point, look at your audience and ask, "How many coins are there now in my in my hand?" Some will answer, "Two" some others will say "three." You reply, "Only one - a big one!" As soon as you say "only one", open your hand to show the transformation and dump the big coin on the table! Every time I do this people grab for the big coin. They want to check it out and make sure it's for real. The beauty of this trick is that you're clean with nothing to hide. Congratulations, you've just performed a miracle! Have fun performing with your free coin magic trick.
Key Points:
1. Whenever you have a coin hidden in your hand, try to relax. Slightly turn your body to the left so that the back of the right hand is facing the audience. Also never look at your hand when you have a coin hidden in it. Remember the audience will follow your eyes.
2. Practice the routine in the mirror. Any mistakes will be evident. Especially practice the switch with the big coin. Sometimes people will see a flash of the big coin. That's OK because they will think it's the smaller coin. Remember you're the only one who knows about the big coin!
3. When you have this coin magic trick well rehearsed, you can substitute and use other objects. I've used four grapes and a small lemon or tomato. I've also used four pebbles and a stone. Use your imagination.

Magic-Maniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14250420361142600345noreply@blogger.com2
