We arrived at Hard Rock Cafe at around 9pm
to celebrate my 25th Birthday today
and also to catch Kumar's show!

Soon the Kumar show was about to begin
and hell is about to break loose..

A few cross-dresser sisters doing lip-syncing of songs
They're really good compared to..
Ok, lets leave it as it is here.

Almost without a warning
A hord of people came and gathered in front of our table
completely blocking our view of the show

We got an Indian staff to help us get some clearance
so we could better see the show
and we were happy... for a while...

with occasions of fans coming through
to snap a few quick shots of their idol, Kumar

Ok.. forgiven.
Reasonable and not offended at all.

But it did not take long before
another hord of people came and block our way.

This time a bigger group.
Jonapong asked one of them to move a little so that
he can see the show from the little gap between their shoulders,
but they were oblivious to the request.

So, the Indian staff came back
and told us there's nothing he can do about it
as "IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS!"
I'm sorry but there's no such excuse as - It has always been like this!
You mean the restaurant can afford to lose a table of guest weekly?

However he was tactful, apologized and told us
he would fix up a new table somewhere in front of the stage
before the Kumar's second act
and suggested we could sit on the sofa top for the time being
That is the kind of answer I want to hear.
Good job! (to be continued..)

While all four of us were furious and annoyed,
a tall, lanky and spectacled male staff approached
and said,
"Hey, you either take off your shoe, or don't sit on the sofa!"
No offense, but I think I deserve an apology for the tone.
I've never went to an F&B establishment
and have the staff speak to me in this manner.

Mind you!
I paid to dine here and the money goes to your salary.
Mister, I'm indirectly your boss.

Soon, it was halftime before Kumar's second act.
I went out for a smoke break and returned,
but was stopped at the door by a male staff
who had a piercing on his eye brow, he yelled at me
"Hello? Where's your stamp?"
I replied "Err.. I'm a diner here."
He pointed his index finger at the cashier and ordered,
"Go get your stamp there!"
I said "thanks" and he replied with a nod.

Wow! How rude!
The service here is inconsistent beyond imagination!

Soon.. Kumar's second act started
and we were still stuck at our original seats
blocked by the same hord of people
who don't give half a shite about whether we can see the show,
since they paid their $16/-

Remember the male Indian staff
who promised us a table with a better view?
He disappeared into thin air.
It could be my imagination,
maybe there wasn't an Indian staff for a start..

Four of us, utterly disappointed and extremely upset,
decided to leave the restaurant and never to return.

I do not blame the unpleasant experience on the rude staff
or the people who blocked our view.
ITS THE MANAGEMENT'S FAULT - COMPLETELY and INDUBITABLY!
1. The management should have knew that on Mondays, these fans will come and block out the view of the seated diners. They have not done anything about it, to date!
2. The behaviour of the staff depends on the training provided. Obviously - insufficient.
3. Train your staff to GO THE EXTRA MILE, but do not allow them to make empty promises to customers/guests.

MING's Christmas Cards 2009

For this years Christmas 2009,
I have sent out 18 Christmas Cards
to eighteen very special people or household
(as much as I hate Christmas)

As you can see these Christmas cards
when positioned according to their numbers
It forms a BIG CHRISTMAS TREE!
(How exciting?)

Features in the card?
1. Part of the Hand-painted Christmas Tree
2. A limited-edition shiny sticker
3. A serial number (01-18)
4. An autographed blessing by myself

So what is so special about this year's MING CHRISTMAS CARDS?
Nothing.. Nothing at all!
But just to make the receipients feel a lot more special
Here are a few consolations:
1. Come on! How long has it been since you last received a Christmas Card? Especially a hand-drawn one.
2. You will receive one-hour of good luck after receiving MING's limited-edition Christmas or Chinese/Lunar New Year cards. To activate the lucky charm, you have to hold the card above your head with your arms reached out into the heavens and shout,
"Pili Pali Mutton Curry, Tasty Tasty Dhal Chapati, Motor Boat Motor Boat Lucky Lucky Lucky!" (You may start practising it now)
and your lucky hour starts from then. Good for punters, one time usage only.
3. This is a Anime Festival Asia (AFA'09) Danny Choo designer post card. Entry to AFA is already SGD15. 赚到！有没有？

How come I don't get a card?
Below are a few reason why you did not receive the card, as much as you feel that you are special enough to be the top 18 people:
1. You have not appeared online for the past few days.
2. I left you a msn/sms message asking for your mailing address and your reply is
- NIL (no reply)
- Why do you need it for? Are you sending me a bomb or pig head?

- Incomplete mailing address (missing unit number/postal code)
- Hi. Who is this?
3. Alternatively, you may have replied after I collected 18 mailing addresses
4. You live outside Singapore or in campus
5. I see you almost every now and then physically or online, I do not find the reason to send you a card to remind you that I'm still alive
6. You think you are smarter or more handsome than me.
7. You pleasure yourself stepping on snails.
8. You like to kill babies and eat young animals.
9. You wank (masturbate) to Barack Obama and or eat toilet paper for meals.
10. You secretly throw away your vegetables when your mum's not watching.
I hear some people saying "Aww man.. I won't be getting a card already!"

WARNINGS and OTHER INFORMATION
1. Do not show your friends the card to laugh at my ugly painting together. I will know. Cos I am watching you. I will kill you! And it will look like an accident.
2. I have sprayed fixative on the painting for protection of the paint. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT lick the surface of the card or feed it to your dogs or as a tool to add spice to your sex life. I know how weird you people can be.

Ho Hum!
I went to Nuffnang's G-Force Premier today
at Orchard Shaw House: Lido
Was early, so i grabbed a beef & cheese at Subway

6.30pm
a lot of people were gathered at the pre-arranged time
but none of the counter ladies were here at 6.15pm
when they finally arrived i realised its just a small screening

nevertheless i got my 2 free tickets
thanks to Nuffnang! =D

7pm
the movie was screened at Hall 7
a really small and cozy little cinema

7.20pm
soon the nuffnangers filled up the hall
while the familiar group of friends cam-whored in the front row

7.25pm
please start the show, yes?

ahh.. finally!
no? ok.. lets wait for the previews to finish
btw i think i wanna watch the Night Before Christmas
featuring Jim Carrey as Scrooge
could be really good.

except that i was trying to hold my breath throughout the movie
