I found this thread from an austrailian thread. You rock man!!

First of all I made a CSV copy of Outlook Calendar and copied it to my Mac as a CSV document. That worked fine by copying it to my external drive and making the transfer that way. The CSV file is one file.

Well, I thought there may be other Internet calendars out there, so I Googled on that topic. I found that Google has an Internet Calendar which I loaded. I went to the left hand side and saw “Other Calendars”, pressed the down arrow opposite “Add”, selected “Import Calendar”, followed the directions, loaded the CSV file form Outlook and shazam, my whole Outlook Calendar loaded.

After Google Calendar was completed with all of my transactions back to 2005 (the date I arbitrarily set as the start date for my CSV file) I went to “My Calendars” on the full Calendar page, selected “Settings” which brought me to the “Export My Calendars” button (which said “Download a zipped file containing each of your calendars in .ics format”). I followed the process and it downloaded the complete Calendar in one very easy short step to Entourage Calendar. My Entourage Calendar is now completely up to date.

Joe Eddinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15574720242813609995noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1680816410016024640.post-5416418036847208722008-03-21T13:25:00.000-07:002008-04-10T04:52:00.183-07:00It's Almost Time!Spring is here and you know what that means! A huge scam is going down.

In each case, you are told to call the 809 number right away. Since there are so many new area codes these days, people unknowingly return these calls.

If you call from the U.S. , you will apparently be charged $2425 per-minute. Or, you'll get a long recorded message. The point is, they will try to keep you on the phone as long as possible to increase the charges. Unfortunately, when you get your phone bill, you'll often be charged more than $24,100.00.

WHY IT WORKS:
The 809 area code is located in the British Virgin Islands (The Bahamas). The charges afterwards can become a real nightmare. That's because you did actually make the call. If you complain, both your local phone company and your long distance carrier will not want to get involved and will most likely tell you that they are simply providing the billing for the foreign company. You'll end up dealing with a foreign company that argues they have done nothing wrong.

Please forward this entire message to your friends, family and colleagues to help them become aware of this scam.

Sandi Van Handel
AT&T Field Service Manager

Also see: http://www.scambusters.org/809Scam.html

Joe Eddinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15574720242813609995noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1680816410016024640.post-69604232918620372152007-04-11T19:22:00.000-07:002007-04-17T08:08:08.349-07:00Marshall University Student Activities Casino Night

We had a wonderful turnout for the Marshall University Student Activities casino night at the historic Keith Albee Theater in Huntington. About 200 students and friends showed up to take part in the evenings festivities of gaming, dancing, and comedians.

The evening started with free souvenir photos with the authentic showgirls as guests arrived. After the photo the host provided a program of the night's events and a packet of "funny money" ($25,000). Guests were invited to go upstairs to the casino floor and play authentic casino games. Tuxedoed dealers paid out winnings all night in the games of blackjack, craps, hi-lo, roulette, color-wheel, slot machines, and the popular $20,000 buy in hold-em tournament.

DJ Thunder was on hand to spin all the hits and fill requests all night on the big stage which was jumpin with all the moving lights, big sound and decorated with an over sized roulette wheel.

At 9:30 the casino floor closed and everyone gathered around the stage for the first comedian of the night. Tim Northern who is a regular on the Bob & Tom show, XM, Sirius, and Fox TV performed first with his side splitting act that had everyone laughing. After his set the casino floor opened back up for another hour of gaming.

Warren B. Hall who has been in Iraq performing for the troops took the comic stage next. His personal approach to the crowd was great and everyone was yelling and laughing as he picked on the blonde in the front row. Warren stuck around to mingle with the crowd for the rest of the night and I am sure he gained some material for his next show.

The night closed as players cashed out for tickets. $5,000 bought one raffle ticket and for some big winners who had over a million dollars it meant tons of tickets. After everyone was cashed out the drawing of tickets began. If your ticket came up you were able to step on stage and spin the money wheel. $1500 in cold hard cash was given away at the end of the night.

The event was a great success and provided something different for everyone to take part in. The atmosphere of the Keith Albee is perfect for having events like these. If anyone is interested in having a casino night for a fundraiser or special event let me know. We have a great program and would love to bring it to you.

To find out more info visit: http://www.mpe-entertainment.com

For other pics from the event visit: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kenbannon/sets/72157600081118906/show/

Joe Eddinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15574720242813609995noreply@blogger.com0
