Swine flu - Coughs and sneezes spread diseases...

First it was Bird Flu, then SARS, now Swine Flu is going to bring about the end of humanity. Once we're gone, apparently the cockroaches are going to take over; they are supposed to be resiliant little buggers.

Actually, it looks like swine flu really isn't as big a problem as the media would like to make out, but places like Sky News have been rubbing their hands in glee as people tune permanently to their channel and don't even dare to switch off during the advert breaks (which, let's face it, is where the money's at for these media types).

So anyway, swine flu has yet to reach the darkest corners of Hertfordshire. We're all fine here, apart from maybe a touch of hayfever, and so we've come up with a Swine Flu T-shirt design.

Here it is, in all of its three colour glory, lovingly adorned by our in-house model, Eric, who has never once taken a days sick leave in all the years he has been with us.

Okay, so it's actually just after Easter, but better late than never. How naughty of us to have not updated in so long.

However, we have been very busy, not just with Christmas, but the New Year has also seen us moving into new premises. The new building enables us to hold far greater stock and we hope to be offering new colours and T-shirt styles in the near future.

It's true, it's up on the BBC and everything!

Apparently the Large Hadron Collider will be switched on for the first time tomorrow and the press are widely reporting that it could create a black hole and destroy the Earth. Well, at least it will take the attention away from Credit Crunch for a little while.

Do you watch The Apprentice? We do, and we're really wondering why Sir Alan hasn't fired Michael Sophocles out of a cannon across the Thames, let alone from the boardroom. Michael is one seriously aggravating character. We watched in awe last week as he bought a Halal Chicken instead of a Kosher one and again this week when he wrote off an award-winning wedding dress designer's collection and described wedding fair-goers as "dumb-dumbs".

Anyone who has ever worked in IT will know how frustrating it can be when everything is running smoothly and someone then decides it is time to upgrade to a new software version.

This hit us hard over the weekend as we found out that our hosting company wanted to upgrade PHP on our server and boy, was our website unhappy about it.

Two days, and three gallons of coffee later, we're back up and running. If you had problems with our site this weekend, we apologise...

Psychics and people too-clever-for-their-own-good will know* that we had our first big photoshoot last week. We've received the photos now and we are really happy with the results. Over the next week or so we will be adding the photos to our site - some are already up and as you can see from the blog banner, there's one up there too.

The photos are fantastic, we think that they help us to reach out and touch our customers (apart from where they have an injunction against us!).

We'd like to publicly thank Mark at A2Zoom and our models, in alphabetical order, Alison, Andrew, John and Terry for their very hard work - we are a rather demanding customer!

Sometimes we react quickly to events, like we did with the briefly popular UK Quake Survivor t-shirt. And then there's times where we release something completely oblivious to how relevant it suddenly is...

There, that wasn't too difficult, was it? Polite and to the point, but not very interesting.

Let's cut to the chase. Who, or what, is Force 18.

Force 18 is a UK based supplier of T-shirts, specifically Funny and Rude Slogan T-shirts. At the time of writing we have over 350 designs available and we are always on the lookout for new ones.

This blog is an outlet for our ramblings. Sometimes it might be funny, sometimes rude and sometimes completely incomprehensible, depending on our blood alcohol level at the time... Remember kids, don't drink and post!
