The film, directed by James McTeigue and produced by Joel Silver and the Wachowski Brothers, will be starring Natalie Portman.

The film is about a young woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) who is rescued from a near death situation by a man known as "V." This mysterious, masked man (Hugo Weaving) stands against tyranny and oppression and starts a revolution that is carried out with terrorist acts and violence. "V," who will use any means to attain his goal to bring freedom and justice back to his society, is well trained in the art of combat and deception. As Evey comes to find out the truth about "V" and his mysterious background, she also uncovers the truth about herself and ends up becoming his ally.

The film, like the Matrix films, appears to be intellectually stimulating and filled with great special effects.
