Okay last night I was supose to be working on the TM July kit. Well it didn't happen I have gone in to detail below about the whole smoke and fire alarm thing but for those of you who are picture orientated cough *chantel* here are two layouts I did tonight with the kit, I have two more almost done and a crap load left.

Last night I smelt smoke Rowan checked it out and it seemed as if it was coming from outside and someone couldn't bbq. 30 minutes later the fire alarms went off. Lola was in her cage, Charlie, however, was not. Rowan ran to check it out as I tried to get Charlie. Lola was really good about, Rowan ran in and said we needed to leave now. It took what seemed like 10 minutes to get Charlie in his cage, we then ran out, we got to the first floor and there was so much smoke. Charlie was going nuts, Lola was really calm. we put Charlie in the car because other people were outside with their dogs and Charlie was scared he has never seen a dog. We then waited outside, 1/2 the people in the building never left. One of the #$%^ nut renter in the basement 'fell asleep' while cooking. we believe they passed out because there is no way you could have slept through that amount of smoke, it was freakin' billowing out of the building. After about 20-30 mintues we went back in. I was still hacking from the smoke this morning, and the building still smells.

Ah....I love productive days.....

Yesterday was so nice.....I purged...I love purging. I got rid 6ft worth of those large Rubbermaid bins. Rowan put up shelving for us in the office closet - aka the scrap room.Well it's pretty much up and should be finished tonight. The hooks that hold the shelving had too much paint on them and we couldn't get them in so Rowan will grind them at work and then put them in. We have area for the birds and their cages, books, magazines, fabric and all kinds of other crap that was sitting on the floor. Thus we were able to purge because all the books that were in storage can now be displayed. I also will be getting rid of some of these books because we don't read them. I'm going to see if we can get some $$$ for them as well as some of the magazines that lye around the house! I also go the house semi clean, and finished a layout.

Oh and PSA: A Venti Black Tea Lemonade is only 20 cents more than a grande.......go big or go home

Okay this might be a photo overload I hope not....oh and read to the bottom to see about my freak out in the car with the bee in my crotch.....yes it is what I said...

Well we went to my cousin's wedding Anna who married Dave. They have an adorable little girl named Alexis. This was my birth mom's side of the family. it was a little akward at first but I got over it. I knew most of the people were looking at me and thinking of my mom as I know they miss her. I'm okay with that.

We went to the wedding my photos aren't that great because I didn't want to use my flash and wash out the photographer's photos - I know it happened at ours. There was only one photographer and he used a tripod it was werid because he was very "apparent" where my photographers I never noticed because they weren't standing there with a big ol trippod it was werid never seen anything like it.

As for the reception. It was dark in their too so my photos also very much suck because I hate flashes. The food was good, but not like our wedding good. I like fancy food but not at weddings, I think weddings should be grandma home made food. But the food was pretty good.

Rowan and I .....

Myself and the cuttest baby ever. I was seriously going to steal him. My cousin who is super petite, like smaller than Chantel had this little guy 3 months ago, and he is now the size that most people give birth too. He is so dang cute. He kept on thinking *when is this crazy lady going to give me back gawd, dad* Steve and Jennifer make the cutest family!

So what do you think this is....chocolate....nope its the world's fanciest butter....

Oh and if you want to know what the chocolate form of heaven looks like...this is it. Three, different types of chocolate mouse. And since I am a choco-late consumer I can tell you this was definately the finest choco-late mouse I have had....

And today.....I hate heat. I really hate heat. I have been feeling really ill for the past 4 hours I finally feel better now. I get sick when in the heat and when it's like 35*C in the sun I can't be out for more than 30 minutes.

While driving to a movie we had the windows down....something flew in and hit me. I didn't think anything of it until I felt something down between my legs. I moved my purse and there it was a bee between my legs rather close to my you know what. I just about had a heat attack I am deathly affraid of bees. Rowan was driving and I kept telling him to pull over and he kept saying it just a bee, it just a bee. Men sometimes I tell you. He finally pulled over and caught the terrified bee that was between my legs as I was trying to squirm. Not funny at all.

We went and saw Get Smart - too funny I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Steve Carell funnest man Love him. Great movie Rowan and I killed ourselves. We wanted to see Wall-e because the personality of that robot is the exact one of our little Charlie but I don't do movies on opening weekends especially ones that kids would go to. We then hit up Michael's got some super sweet $1 bin deals some beautiful black and white epoxy's and some super cool bling that will be perfect for card making.

Oh and between Friday night and Saturday day I got four layouts done for next month's RR and a surprise thing for RRD - which you have to stay tuned for.

As for Glasses photo - I am so sorry because I should have taken one and I didn't. They look pretty much the same no one at either of my jobs really noticed :P

No bloging......I'm lazy what can I say :P

I've been to busy with all kinds of stuff - AKA cleaning and TV viewing. Not even Scrapbooking. Every time I look at a layout I think of what Chantel said about her LO's the other day..."they are all technically the same its an embellishment/paper line either horizontal, vertical, or a little bit of both" Now I can't see anything else. I'm avoiding Scrapbooking - except I have to for RRD and I have been working on the same 5 pages for you know the past week and they don't get any further.....and then I try and be artsy or "Lisa" and I just get messy, frustrated, and have to print off another photo. That's it I quite.

As for photos with new glasses....sorry to busy for that too and I look like poop.

Oh and good news October Afternoon will be at CHA, so guess what TM will be getting in! also going to try for Magic Mesh we'll see how that flies....

New Glasses

I went and got new glasses today. I will post a picture later. For those of you who hated how my other glasses 'cut off my eyes' as some would say, that has been fixed. They are still black plastic frames, and of course name brand Dolce & Gabbana's nothing but the best for me :)

The Weekend That Was....

Why do weekends fly by and weekdays stand still?? I don't think it's fair!

Friday I drove around the city to pick up some Mustang parts and the truck from my sister. I then proceeded to abuse the truck and leave blackies all over Edmonton. I love that truck.

Saturday I must admit I was a little upset with Chantel when I found out that two dates for my class had been given out (one for this past weekend and one for next weekend) so out of the 8 people signed up 6 people showed up. But it turned out to be great because I don't know what I would have done with 2 more people. So more than likely I will be teaching this class again next weekend. The class went great! It was my first 12x12 class ever, and I think we did pretty good. There were three ladies who were super fast, and three that were like me - paced. Below are the three designs I taught these super awesome ladies - I also learned about Fat Burger in south common and a store called Super 88...I'm going to have to go on an adventure!

Sunday Rowan and I went to Whyte Ave and it poured so we went to the book store (bought a couple of books to rip up). We went to the Antique Mall (I used to work there) and IMO it has gone down hill. Things are so over priced because there is less competition now. Some of the vendors have 4-7 booths each! We also rented 27 dresses and Jumper. 27 Dresses was freaken hilarious! Jumper was alright not my type of movie though :)

For the next month my calendar is booked on weekends.

June 28 my cousin's (from Sylvia's side) wedding (completely forgot about it) and we said we would go. I now have to go find a present and stuff. I don't enjoy weddings. Because it doesn't matter who's wedding it is, it will never be ours. Our's was perfect from the food to my dress - this is of course because I planned and coordinated it. I'm sure most brides feel this way but I actually never enlisted anyone to help me out, I hand cut everything myself :P

July 5 Oma and Opa's 60th Anniversary. Rowan and I will be staying at the lake - should be fun and interesting I hope it doesn't rain.

July 12 is Chantel's B-Day party,

July 19 is the grand daddy of them all CHA.

Oh and I found a letter from the bank that has been sitting around, for oh you know a month, and it informed us that our mortgage payments will be going down $200 a month. Holly freaken heck - its about time some good news came around. I guess I would have known that sooner if I actually opened the mail.

Beth did some photography of Jilly Bean and her sister - such beautiful girls. Jill I want your legs. You should do boudoir photos for Greg especially with those legs...Any who Beth has happily agreed to get us all some nice profile shots for the TM website! She's so awesome.

And a pre-warning, I will be posting CHA photos daily from the show on the TM Facebook group. So you'll have to check it out!

And with all of that said, I need to get to working on some Scrapbooking of my own it's been about 2 weeks now :) Maybe my Mojo will be back.

to listen to me whine.....

Good song, gotta love the classic Green Day. No whining here, actually a pretty good day. I found out there are 7, yes 7 in my first ever 12x12 glimmer mist class. Pretty stoked about that. I had to run to another store to pick up some supplies but I should have everything now. tomorrow I will be going to TM to prep everything. I found some super sweet stuff at this new dollar giant store Rowan found. Some sweet 'hello my name is..' stickers and some other super cool stuff.

I also made it into a fabric store, I just wanted to stop in to see if there was any headboard fabric. Well I should have never gone in. I love fabric like I love scrapbook supplies, except I hoard it and it sits because I can't sew anyways but I still buy it. Well I did find some beautiful chocolate brown fabric, in fact its the same fabric that was used on the TM staff wall bulletin board thingy but a Juli color. And I got it for $7 a yard...oh yeah I love fabricland's sale section - best stuff ever. I'll never buy fabric full price.

So with that said, I ran, okay scratch that, jogged for 4 mintues straight, which for me is a bloody record. I am so dang proud, now I just need to keep it up....have a great night!

Another Big Update...

Okay this post is a combination of a post that was suppose to be posted on Friday (I forgot to send myself the text that I had drafted) and a post about the weekend.

I cleaned the house last night(Thursday) and we placed the vinyl circles that we bought, they are not all stuck down but they are in place - they will look like the rest of them to the left in the photo. They are a bugger to put down but they look so fantastic afterwards, much worth the labor.

Here are the poms we already put down they look great - ignore the fact that we have no baseboards. We have to measure and price them out and stuff. That's one of Rowan's jobs while I'm away.

I wish I could report that I had some exciting news but the TM project I''ve been working on, but I haven't heard back. I'm extremely anxious and a little disappointed - though I wasn't told no yet.

Now for the weekend post....

Saturday - not a rather productive day what-so-ever but you should see what Lisa made for me, it's absolutely gorgeous!!!

Lisa is the best to work with - so darn creative.

Sunday we spent Father's Day with my Dad, Mom and my sister. We went to the Reynolds Museum in Wetaskawin. The museum was fun. We spent about 2.5 outside looking at the cars and another hour inside. I got some spectacular shots - all thought I wish I had a digital SLR *hint, hint*. I was going for some more artsy, blow up, hang on the wall photos:

It was a great event and I had gotten a pass from one of the ladies I work with and it got us all in for free! The photos inside the museum were pretty crappy it's so dark in the museum - thus the need for a better camera.

Oh and funny story. For those of you who don't know me personally I am well endowed on top. Yesterday we were at the restaurant and I dropped coleslaw down my shirt. My dad said "well you not suppose to drop coleslaw down the slot machine - you know it's like a slot" OMG I just about died my husband still can't get over it. I have to admit it was pretty hilarious because it came from my father.

Scrapbooking Update

Not much here Just finished this little beauty thanks Anam for the title I was stumped. I think this is my new favorite LO though. I'm now at 13 out of 30 layouts done. Pittiful I know :P This picture is kind of crappy since its so glum outside the tree is super sparkley and awesome like I would do.

Oh dear you have no idea how much these birds bring joy into our lives. Much like a small child except their cuter and we can lock em' up when they've been bad. Charlie has found himself a new home in my ironining board cover......

Work/Home Update

I'm glad we (our little family) are the way we are and not in some of the situations I hear about at work. Holly Hannah some people have some problems, bigger financial and bigger emotional. I won't go into it because some of it frustrates me.

This weekend we will be going with my parent's and sister to the Wetaskawin Reynolds Museum for the 10th Anniversary of this car show. It just so happens to be one of the largest car shows in Alberta and happens to be on Father's day :) The two men (Rowan & Dad) in my life sure are excited!

Why I love my Mom.....She phoned me today to ask a technical question - not out of the ordinary....

Mom "I go this facebook thing now how do I put a page on - I want to load another by-law"

Just so everyone knows were just fine I'm just pouting because I had to cut up a little piece of plastic. Damn credit card. It's not nearly as serious as I make it sound. It's actually going to work out much better and cost us less. But I do hate switching jobs because it screws up the budget and pay system because every company is on a different pay system. (i.e. the 1st and the 15th is pay, or every two weeks)

This week sure is going by fast. I really, really, really want a bike but $$$ is not in our best interest. *Looks around to see what I can pon off - how about those two birds...*

Well I hope to get some LO's done soon but it's like forced scrapbooking so my mojo don't wanna work. It's like doing those TM kits - I hated it because it was forced scrapbooking, I had to get it done. Maybe that's why I don't get DT because the man upstairs knows I will only pea myself off because I will fail under pressure.

It's going to be a hard next two months with the whole money thing because of cut offs and changing jobs and the rise in condo fees - so if I don't scrapbook its because I'm moopping.

But I do *heart* my job - I got to kick people out of the special board room for my bosses' meeting ...ehehehehe...just because I mentioned the CEO's name. Ah the privileged life. It actually is an important meeting.

Bike to Work

Okay at work there is this challenge to get everyone to bike to work at least once. You don't even have to bike from your actual home but from somewhere. They don't even tell you have far it has to be. Since I'm new they peer pressured me into it. I did it. I biked from a place, like 10 blocks away (sad I know) I am so proud it has been 10 years since I have been on a bike. I think I am going to go get one. My sisters is a crappy bike but it did the job. My bum bones hurt so much because there was this spring under my bum and Edmonton roads are crap so I kept bouncing it was horrible.

Anyways my job is awesome *knock on wood*. Everything is great, I get to do some legal work too its pretty sweet.

I am working on something for TM but as you can see from above I am superstitious and do not want to jinx it so you have to wait to hear about it. It's good I promise.

This whole 30 layouts thing is such a depressor no wonder i'm not getting any done :P I'ev lost the mojo again thus no layouts. Just long wordy posts about nothing at all. Have a great day!

The Surprise....

We put together Anam a surprise baby shower! She was totally clueless which I thought she would have figured it out but it was awesome! I found out she was going to teach a class on Saturday which totally wrecked out plans as we had originally told her that it was a TM Staff crop and we figured she wouldn't get there until 5:30-6 giving us time to decorate. Well she messed that one up for us and we found on Thursday :P Luckily with Chantel and my brilliant thinking Chantel stole Anam after work to go get something to eat since we were only having 'munchies' at the TM party.

While they left there was a flurry of activity of people arriving, decorations and food being set up. I seriously did not think that we would have enough time. But sure enough we pulled it off. Chantel and Kara made a beautiful banner which was brilliant. I picked up some balloons and made some pretty little name tag holders. Anam came in and everyone jumped out and yelled surprise from the back and Anam left the store. I really thought she was mad and I am super glad she came back in because it would have broken my heart if she didn't.

We did this because we love you and appreciate every little thing you do for us. Anam is one of the most amazing and brilliant scrapbookers and the most humble person I have ever met. She is a fantastic mother to beautiful little Faye and I adore having both of them in my life. Anam makes sense of things - doesn't take things to seriously. And I know if Anam reads this, which she will, she will be shaking her head and saying 'no, no girlie...' Oh Anam we love you.

This was the best most unproductive crop I have ever been to. Jill you are flippin hilarious. The world would be too serious without you.

I also learned a very important lesson. Everything is not as it seems and life can be pretty fair. Some people have it all but are are unhappy. Some people have nothing or very little and very happy. Someone may get and unfortunate turn in life and then get an opportunity of a lifetime. You see it all works out, just seems unfair when your in different times in life.

I have like a ton of pages to show you, but this post is way more important I will post them later, oh and don't forget to check out the new Riff Raff releases one of them being the stiletto which lovely Anam did just for me :)

My muffler fell of and got stuck under my car today. Then I came home to find a letter with an increase on our condo fees of $150 more EACH month..... Every time we finally get something good we get fudged with so many bad things. I now understand why people get divorced.

I love my job.

Why do some people get things they don't deserve? Like credit for something they didn't do, or perhaps a...nevermind won't go into that tonight.

I have been super duper busy with something, a little secret perhaps. Well only a secret to some.

I won't be back till Sunday - i'll have all kinds of beans to spill like some pages. Oh and the new Riff Raff shapes will be coming out, they are awesome you'll have to check it out.

Well I had a much better day today, probably because I knew my way around the office a little bit better! My boss is super nice and I feel so special :) I got my hair chopped today it feels so much better I hate when it grows out!

Scrapin news - ah notta.....didn't get those LO's done last night because Rowan and I decided to do what we do best together...no not that! We feel a sleep at 7:30 how sad! TM crop this weekend which could be rather interesting - as most TM crops are. And just so this isn't another boring photoless post:

My dad. Like a kid waiting to get into a candy shop. On Sunday there was a big line up out the door at marble slab and we told him (my sis and I ) that he had to have some of this ice cream. He was convinced once he smelt the freshly baked waffle cones!

First Day - Take 2

Okay first day take 2. I never went to work on Friday because my eyes were so swollen, red, and yucky. Thus today was day one take two. It went much better than Thursday but now I have this hideous cold soar - aka herpes. I hate it. I don't know why probably all the stress my poor immune system is giving out. I love my desk - its super huge. I work a few desks down from the CEO of this multi billion dollar company and my boss is the Vice President. How do I feel?? Pretty damn good. Everyone is pretty nice and I feel better now that I have gotten to meet everyone. My boss took our team out for lunch because of me - how nice. Gotta jet I wanna finish 3 more pages to make it 10 out 30 pages that I need to get done before I can buy some goodies.

One Year

So this weekend (not this date, it was the 26 this weekend last year) last year we got married......I hear people going around in limos honking the horns and it makes me jealous because I want to do it all over again it was way to much fun to happen only once in ones life. We will never a celebration as grand and it doesn't matter what we do for our anniversary it will not live up to our wedding day. Sad but true. Well at least I have the photos! Here are a couple of my favorite, and yes this is a couple considering I have over 1200 from our photographer and about 800 from everyone else!

New Job

OMG I wish I had the energy...to girls that witnessed me last night rubbing my eyes and complaing well I had a great reason. My eyes are so red its not even funny and sore and producing a type of dis..you know the word. I had to leave my new job early to walk in the rain without an umbrella to the optometrist to get a prescription to walk to the drug store in the rain to walk to the LRT in the rain....ughgghgh not a good day.

In summary:
I have an horrible bactrial eye infection
I came home drenched
I had to wait 1 hr to see the dr
I have to throw out my $30 mascara
i'm still sick
My nice boots are wrecked and i'm not paying to fix them for the billionth time
Only one of my co workers was at work
She took me out for lunch on her
If your in Edmonton go to Gabannas on Jasper its awesome
I have my own nice little office area

I'm going to bed.
