Rani sat comfortably and relaxed in the modest boardroom of the Agency. Across the table from her, a pleasant, slender, somewhat attractive, middle-aged man was focused on her resume. At least she thought he was middle-aged (whatever that meant these days). He could have been anywhere from his 30s to mid-40s. Europeans seemed to age differently than North Americans, she thought to herself.
