What a great summer you are getting ready for.

And I'm glad you reminded us of what Memorial day is all about. My Dad and my Hub are both veterans. My Dad served during WWII and my Hub served during the Vietnam War.

The one thing I'll never forget about Hub's service is a visit to a military hospital where I met so many soldiers who had lost so very much. It's imprinted on my memory forever.

I think my summer is shaping up to be quite busy too, but with no Tim Hortons. I haven't been there since probably 1991.

what a wonderful summer you have planned already. Are you driving or flying. I have heard that Banff is beautiful.
Question for anyone that has an answer. I have friends that do not blog, they say they can't send a comment, do you have to blog in order to leave comments? i have checked and i have it set to public.

I had forgotten about how old your dad was when you were born, Mad, so this is a very special tribute to him. Thanks for remembering!
