Andrews Photography, Dry Mate, Product, Commercial photo shoot. We did a nice photo shoot for Mike Bachman. The product was a Dry Mate mat. Pretty cool item keeps the kitty litter off the floor. Mike rented 3 kittens for the shoot and brought a kitten wrangler. Way to go Mike best shoot we have ever done with kittens. Katrina was nice enough to send over the finished product with our photos in them. Commercial shoots are a lot of fun this one was a breeze. Andrews Photography hits the jackpot. Glady and Frank were kind enough to invite us into there home to snap a few family portraits of them interacting with there pets. The dogs were on there best behavior or was it just plain good parenting. We walked through what the family did on a day to day basis. Just to see how they all interacted with each other. We all had so much fun with were is the treat find the treat. The dogs went crazy trying to find the milk bone. Sunshine was the winner, good girl. Soon your junior will be a HS Senior, and it is time to select a photographer for senior portraits. Too often parents are confused or misinformed about the process of having senior portraits created. Dont worry were in your corner.

As a professional photographer whose specialty is Senior Portraits, I have prepared this guide to help you be better informed about the senior portrait process and help you make a wise investment.

Please remember this guide's most important messages:
1). Your school's contracted photographer must take ONLY your yearbook picture. Your real senior pictures are your choice.
2). A senior portrait is a once in a lifetime experience. A MAJOR milestone. Expect personalized service from the studio you select! Make this a positive experience!
3). Review samples of work from a studio either on their web site or at a no obligation visit to the studio before selecting a photographer.

Here is a list of the most common questions we are asked when discussing senior portraits with parents:

Q. When should you schedule the senior portrait session?
A. Don't wait until your senior year! Deadlines for submitting yearbook pictures are always in the fall, so most seniors are photographed in the spring before the senior year. We get calls from seniors from local high schools asking to be photographed in July and August. Because of the personal attention we give each of our seniors, there are only a limited number of sessions times available. We offer "early booking" promotions to encourage students to schedule their appointment early!

Q. Why do so many seniors choose Andrews-Photography for their senior portraits?
A. Quality, creativity, reliability, experience, professionalism, service, variety, beautiful headshots, black and white photography, sepia toned images, color tints, etc. etc... We just had to add this video of the most recent first year photo shoot we did for Nolan. Portraits of kids eating cake doesn't get any easier than this. He was a natural at eating cake and having a good time. Must take after his dad, mom was worried about him getting messy.

Nolan said the cake was good and his dog maybe could have some next year. Andrews Photography did a short video clip too. Nicole, Model shoot in Saint Paul. MN. Nicole braved the cold weather and did a few sets outside. We even did a set at the Blackdog cafe, we all bought a drink but they still didn't like us shooting in the cafe. Andrews Photography set up a glamour shot modified set up with a soft box and reflector. Rear light was warm gelled and balanced for the main light. We used a ring light for the wine background. Nicole will be back in a few months for her H.S. Senior Photos. Andrews Photography cant wait. She was a dynamo in front of the camera and had a winning smile. Niobium wanted something dark and tribal. Maybe a bit forgotten. Well we turned a drap tight living room upside down and gave it new life. Andrews Photography armed with a tripod, camera and wink flash turned a living room into a lava pit. the faces pop and ther is no shortage of darkness. We did a bit of directional lighting and tried out the new ring flash for the closeup photos. Rod was trying out a few gells also to warm up the full lenght photos. Driving yesterday to a photo shoot and I saw these work cranes. The symmetry was mesmerizing I had to turn around and grab a photo. Light, repetition and bold color. The cranes looked like they were on break, talking over coffee, waiting for the next job. Maybe pondering why they have no work, one looks a bid sad. Everyone has there passion and loves. Hi folks, Rod here I got a chance to capture a few great images of one cool kid this weekend on location. Please watch the video, sorry about the bad crop but just had to set the camera on the floor for this take.

Watch out world Bridget tuned one and she does not like cake. Maybe after her party she will be more inclined to like cake. The day was great and Bridget was fantastic she was laughing and playing around. she loves her butterfly and balloons. when her mom blew bubbles she made a few faces. Its pretty cool watching kids find out about life right before your eyes. I wonder if she will remember The portrait sessions. I think back to when I was young and my mom brought us in for a portrait session. All I wanted to do was play with a ball and throw my sisters shoes across the room. I think I was 5 and my sister was 4, I still have that 8x10. My sister with one shoe on and me with a little grin. It was the last time we saw that photographer.

The official start to the Holidays, Andrews Photography captures Santas arrival! Andrews-Photography was out at Woodbury Lakes on Saturday the 22nd for Santas arrival. The fun started at 4:15pm and folks were already having a blast at the games and face painting. Families having fun petting the reindeer and taking carriage rides around the mall. The activities tent was jammed with people making cards and decorating gingerbread men. One kid was brave enough to start eating his gingerbread man by biting off the head first. It was hard to see the kids smiles under all those parkas but you could hear there laughter. The cold tried to dampen there spirits but with all there was to do it was hard not to keep warm. Free mini donuts were also provided as fast as the elves could make them. Between the good cheer, frosty the snowman, and hot chocolate how could you not have fun.

It was nearing 7:00 pm and the kids were starting to get a bit fidgety waiting for old saint nick. You could feel the energy in the air something big was going to happen. Then the sleigh was sighted on I-94 heading towards the mall. but per FAA regulations Santa had to land in the parking lot due east. Woodbury police and fire met him there to safe guard the sleigh and refresh the reindeer. Then it was off to the party riding in first class style aboard a Fire Engine. He was escorted up to light the tree and say a few words to the crowd. The fireworks popped and the crowd cheered. Santa told me later that it was the best welcome he had all month and Woodbury Lakes was the place to be and be seen. I asked him what he likes best about christmas and he replied "why its the season of giving and it feels so good to help out my fellow man". If you haven't taken your kids to see old saint nick check out the Woodbury website for times and dates.

Other news, Macys is running a benefit for every Santa letter dropped off, they are giving a $1.00 to there Charity of the year.
