It takes a little looking and some discernment, but the material is out there. Over on my other blog, I've been building a resource list that points to free Sunday school materials and lesson plans online. I wanted to post a few of the highlights here.

Wycliffe Bible Translator has made several series of bible lessons available on their website. These are top quality studies on prayer, missions and the Bible. They can be downloaded for free to use in your children's Sunday school class.

Calvary Chapel offers kid's Sunday school lessons from the whole Bible on their website. From what I've seen these are well done and include many helpful activities. This is a great resource to find ideas if you need to supplement your Sunday school curriculum.

My children's Ministry website is where I keep the whole list of free resources for children's Sunday school. I've listed eight different places to find free Sunday school lessons, but I would love to make the list longer. If you know of Bible story lessons online for free, leave me a comment below.

You won't want to miss the lesson plans from Christian Answers. It seems like there is a real need for encouraging articles on this topic. Here are some that I've written so far. Feel free to leave me a comment or email me if you find these helpful. TonyKummer@gmail.com

7 Reasons Why Your Church Nursery Service Is Vital To Your Church: This is a post that I originally wrote for our church newsletter. I wanted to communicate to our nursery workers that their service was important.

God Is In The Church Nursery: This has been the most popular article I've ever written. It doesn't get the most traffic, but it constantly gets positive reader feedback. I'm even thinking of submitting it to one of the children's ministry magazines. I've posted a Word document you can download and print too.

Writing A Church Nursery Manuel In A Small Church: After looking into the process of writing a church nursery manual, I was concerned that most of the advice online would be impossible for small churches to carry out. So here are my thoughts about putting together a volunteer handbook for your church nursery.

Church Nursery Volunteer Guidelines: Here are some sample job descriptions I wrote for our church nursery volunteer training. They are not too complicated, but I was trying to make the expectations very clear.Tony Kummernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15294381.post-64860269991426718722008-04-01T22:20:00.003-04:002008-04-01T22:26:38.685-04:00Sunday school lessonsI've been working slow and steady at my new Children's ministry blog to build resources that help parents, pastors and children's ministry workers. From the cover: "What legacy will you leave your children? Your grandchildren? Will you be remembered for the wealth and possessions you leave behind, or for the example of faith you pass down? While our culture stresses the importance of living for today, God wants us to focus on building a spiritual foundation for the future generations of our families. "In this two-part series, Voddie Baucham emphasizes the importance of leaving a multi-generational legacy. And he provides practical insight into how you can begin investing today in the spiritual future of your family." It is a short interview clip with John MacArthur explaining why humility doesn't always cut it when sharing the Gospel.

Tony Kummernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15294381.post-35963888564643990202007-08-02T23:18:00.000-04:002007-08-02T23:38:30.013-04:00I signed up for PPP!We here at The Kummeropolis want to keep our readers informed. (Don't ask why I am using "we" and "our" to refer only to myself, I guess it's getting late.) So, I want to let you know a little about the monetization of my blogging empire.

I've been hearing about a blog marketing company called payperpost for several months. Some of the probloggers who I follow swear by this service to make a little side cash on their blog. Recently, I wrote about how AdSense is junk. So I thought you guys would like to hear about Pay Per Post.

But first let me detail some blog $$$ that don't really work:

Amazon Associates. It makes a lot of sense, but the only stuff I ever get commission on is my own purchases.

ad sense: There are so many people shooting low bids and "made for ad sense" pages that most publishers are making pennies on the click.

Text Link Ads: You need a PageRank of 5+ to get anyone interested.

Donation Buttons: Never tried it but I am really skeptical.

How does payperpost work? You sign up your blog and they give you opportunities to get paid for writing reviews of products or services. I was only approved a few days back and haven't seen any compelling offers yet. But if they want to pay me to review something I think it's a good deal. There are also some disclosure requirements, which I think makes for a better service. When I look back at all the hours I've been blogging, I wish I had more $$$ to show for it. Maybe an occasional paid host will improve that.

The user interface for payperpost is very clean and intuitive. Once your a member you can see all the available offers. They even show offers that would have been available if the other "Posties" hadn't grabbed them first. I can see at least a few that would fit in with my blog here. As you prove yourself you get better opportunities. It's kinda like gaining street credit. Looking over the list again, I think I will be able to make some money from this deal.

So, I'll keep you posted on the big money. Although it looks like you need decent traffic and PageRank to get the bigger offers. Most of the stuff I've seen so far is between $5 - $20 per post. I guess that will buy a new book for Fall Semester.

Tony Kummernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15294381.post-50330283353845815572007-08-02T21:59:00.000-04:002007-08-02T22:05:29.052-04:00$$$ Affluenza Video Clips $$$Joshua Harris (and 2 others) preached a sermon series titled Affluenza in January 2006 at Covenant Life Church. They just posted some video clips with statistics on America's wealth. I was amazed to see how filthy rich we really are.

Affluenza Video Clip #1

Affluenza Video Clip #2

Affluenza Video Clip #3

Tony Kummernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15294381.post-37159086484792956962007-08-02T21:46:00.000-04:002007-08-02T21:51:49.766-04:00Video - Where Did CJ Mahaney Come From?If you've ever wanted to know the story behind Covenant Life Church and CJ Mahaney - You can watch this short video documentary now on You Tube. I was very encouraged to hear how God used this small church plant and what it has become today. A 2 part documentary on Covenant Life church made for the Church's 25th Anniversary in 2002 by Scott Riddlesberger.

Tony Kummernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15294381.post-54640602817605710602007-08-02T21:32:00.000-04:002007-08-02T21:46:05.448-04:00You Linked To What #2Thanks for all the recent links to The Kummerololis. I really appreciate your links to all my blogs.

Links To Said At Southern

Indy Christian

Reformed Baptist Thinker

Timmy Brister

Pure Church

Thanks Again Ann!

Tim Challies

Thanks Subversive Guys

Tony Kummernoreply@blogger.com
