Hall</p><p>The City of Edinburgh Kings Junior Men’s team was crowned Scottish Cup Champions after defeating the Cark Eriksson Fury by a score of 66-46. The Kings were led by Vincent Stirrat’s 17 points, including a nice two-handed dunk in the first half. Lee Reilly chipped in 16 points for the winners. The leading scorers of the Fury were Mark Hargreaves and Chris Chok with 15.</p><p>As the bleachers swelled with supportive fans, both teams started slow before the Kings took charge of the court. Calum Nicol drained a three and a long two to give the Kings an early 5-2 lead. The Kings held strong on defence and further extended their lead to seven points at 9-2. The Fury were unable to close the gap thanks to a two for six performance from the charity stripe.</p><p>Edinburgh took the ball to the hoop, scoring six quick points and taking a 17-7 lead to open the second quarter. The Fury answered back with four of their own before calling timeout with eight minutes left in the half.</p><p>Centre Ali MacKay drew two consecutive fouls in the paint, and hit all of his free throws, followed by Stirrat’s dunk as the Kings took a 35-22 lead to the dressing room.</p><p>The third quarter saw both teams trade baskets until, Edinburgh’s Chris Collins came alive, leading the Kings on a 10-0 run and extending their lead to 54-28. The Fury trailed 58-33 to begin the fourth quarter. MacKay got his first rest with 7:33 left in the game and the Kings lead by a score of 60-38. Stirret was unable to register a basket for the rest of the game due to furious defense from Clark Eriksson.</p><p>The Fury climbed within 20 points but, were unable to get any closer.
