The title of this post is, The End of Yourself. This is a place of brokenness, a time of having exhausted all possible solutions, that you yourself have tried, but nothing has changed. It’s a place that all things and all foundations your life on are being tested and tried. It’s a place where you realize, I can’t do this, I need someone greater than me!

This is a place of beauty, a place of letting go of the thing that has held you back, be it self control, bad self esteem, past hurts such as abuse and neglect, depression or whatever the mountain may be.

When you get to this point, you release it to God, your Father, who loves you more than you know. You let him have control. You begin to trust him, because he is the last option.

I urge you today, to let God be your first option. Live in this place of brokenness, knowing you can’t win the battle in your own strength, the Bible even says, the battle isn’t yours, it’s the Lords! Let him fight it from round one! Step aside and let God be God!

As you do this, just as Mary broke the expensive alabaster box and washed Jesus’ feet with her tears, hair, and perfume, your brokenness will produce true worship and a more deep understanding that he loves you much more than you have ever known or realized.

God Bless,

Scott Jenkins

Scott a.k.a. I hope this post finds you all blessed and well! It's that time of year again. The time when we look outside of ourselves more, and look upon those afflicted, worn, and unnoticed by the world. In scripture, over and over, we see Jesus talk about little children. Allow them to come unto me, have faith like a little child, dont offend a little one that believes in me. Children are a heritage from the Lord, and so very many of them are hurting. They lack basic clothing, food, and shelter, the things most of us take for granted. Wouldn't it make you feel nice to know someone from around the world, cared enough to care for you. Jesus also said, if you give a cup of water to a little one in my name, no doubt you shall have your reward too! Remember to focus on Jesus and the sacrifice he made for us all. He is worthy. It's easy to get caught up in all the secular festivities, but make sure to make time to highlight the reason we celebrate this time of year, the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is Risen! Along with this, we have the same power living in us that raised Jesus from the grave, the Holy Spirit. We can do ALL THINGS through Christ who died and gave himself for us. While he was on the cross, we were on his mind. So the next time we are weak and frail, in body or in spirit, let us remember him at our greatest point of suffering, as he remembered us. In Jesus Name, BE BLESSED!

Scott a.k.a. I know that during this holiday season, we tend to rush and get anxious, but I think we need to take the time to reflect on our blessings, offered to us from our Lord and Keeper Jesus Christ. With so many problems in the world today, we often get unsettled and upset. I pray that the peace of God surrounds you and your family this year, not just peace as we know it, but an inner peace , that God is in control, and will take care of you and your situation. I pray for blessing upon you and all your family, and for the Spirit of God to comfort you at all times. May you fulfill God's will for your life, and fulfill your part of the Great Commission, to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. When you go, speak love and mercy, forgiveness and peace, and it will be given unto you pressed down, and running over. He was the pastor of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and President of the National Association of Evangelicals. It came to light that he was involved in sins of sexual immorality and drug use. Now, I know a lot of people would say that he was probably never saved, but instead, a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It is possible however, that he was a born again believer who fell into sin. John the Apostle said, If we say we have no sin, then we are liars! We all have some misgivings, faults, or failures. My point is, that being a born again believer, we will mess up, sin, and fall flat on our faces sometimes, doing or saying things that we shouldn’t. In this comes our greatest asset as a believer, the ability to receive forgiveness for those sins, through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I know I have fallen so many times, but still yet, HE is there to reach down and pick me up. He never grows tired of us, and HIS love for us is unchanging, and unconditional. IT IS NEVER OVER! Once you become his child, he latches onto you, for all good and bad, and continually strives to bring you closer to him. He will NEVER GIVE UP ON US! When we fall, or a brother or sister in Christ falls, we don’t need to condemn them or ourselves. We need to get back up and come to the throne or GRACE, where the love and mercy of God flows abundantly like a river. IT’S NEVER OVER! GOD has a plan for your life, as a matter of fact he has a PLAN A, B, C, D, E, whatever it takes to get you next to him. HE loves you and will never leave you no matter how you sin, or how many times. In reference to Mr. Haggard's sin being made public, it was probably God using this to bring Mr. Haggard back near to Him. When we see a fellow believer in Christ fall, let us not crucify them, Jesus already did that for us all when he was crucified for our sin, let us not kick them down farther, let the love of God flow through us to them, and that may show them ITS NEVER OVER and allow them to believe that God isn’t through with them. Pray for MR. Haggard, and all those you know who have sinned and may think it’s over. Lord, we ask in Jesus name, that you reveal your love to Mr. Haggard and any others who are hurting, that they may know, what is the breadth, height, width , and depth of your love and forgiveness for them. Shadow them with your presence, and let it be made known, that it is NEVER OVER in Jesus Name, Amen.

Scott a.k.a. Sorry it's been so long since I posted. I would like to talk a bit about death today. It's so sad to see someone we know and love go on to the next level. It brings feelings of anger, grief, resentment, and guilt among other things. My family has lost 2 members in 5 months. My grandmother, and my 2nd cousin, who was more like an uncle or dad to me. Both knew Jesus and are no doubt with him now. I can just see Mamaw up there, working in the most glorious flower garden, flowers more beautiful than the ones we see down here. See, heaven, I believe, is the most glorious place. The bible says ears have not heard, and eyes have not seen, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the good things God has in store for those that love him. My cousin, who was an avid outdoorsman, is probably fishing in the lushest water, and reeling in some major keepers! All in the presence of God! Whew, sounds like a wonderful place. If you have lost a loved one, know that they loved you and wouldn’t hold anything against you. You may have not been as nice to them or treated them as good as you wished you would have, but they love you and so does God. He forgives you and you need to forgive yourself. We have tendencies to look back on what we could have, or should have done different, but no matter how much we want to, we can’t change the past. Get on past that and enjoy the memories you had with them. Their not hurting, their having a ball, and want you to do the same. Anger can be so destructive! I was ok with Mamaw dying, she was the Lord's and to be absent from the body was to be present with the Lord. But my with my cousin I kind of got angry at God for a few moments. I said, God, that is 2 in 5 months, it’s not right! This man had a family, was getting ready to announce his call to preach the gospel, been saved for 5 years and on fire for you! What are you thinking! He gently let me know that his ways are above mine and his understanding greater than mine, and that he left a witness. That maybe someone, some family member may have only have been saved by his death. And Danny would have wanted that. Rather than live and see none of them saved, he would rather have given his life that one may be saved. I’m not saying that’s the reason, but we just don’t know. All I know is God knows more than I do and I trust him. God was finished with him here. I don’t pretend to know any of these answers, I only poke at the possibilities, but I do know one thing, CHERISH THOSE ALIVE AS THOUGH THIS IS YOUR LAST DAY WITH THEM. Give the kids an extra hug and kiss, spend some extra play time with them. Tell your wife you love her, and hug her. Call your mom and dad and go visit for a while. Be a blessing to people while we can! Friends, family, brothers and sisters in Christ, all of them. The stranger on the street, say a kind hello. And if you know someone who doesn’t know Jesus, say an extra prayer for them. Find places and opportunities to sow a seed of Gods word and love to them, for tomorrow they may be gone. Remember this; this is not the end, only a passing through place, to a far better home. These bodies are temporal, but when we see Jesus face to face, we will be likened unto him, resurrected in his glory, and we will see our loved ones again, and rejoice, that we are home together forever. Lord I pray for the hurting right now who have lost loved ones. I pray you send the Holy Spirit to comfort them. You said you would not leave us comfortless, but you would send another comforter, even now Lord, send him. We thank you that one day we can see them again, but even more we thank you for the time we have left, for one, it means we have more work to do for you, and secondly, we have more chances to show those who mean most to us, how we love them. Help us lead the lost to you, draw them unto you Lord, so that not one would perish, but be brought into you love. Give us boldness to speak when we need to, and wisdom to be quiet when we don’t. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Scott a.k.a. This has been a year of ups and downs for me, but I have grown in the Lord, or rather in the knowledge of his unending love. I ask that you take a moment and reflect on this past year, and see the progress you have made. Jesus is soooo proud of you and so am I. We are none perfect, but we are maturing, in Him, even if we don’t see. So, God Bless you and yours, and May God provide for your every need in Him. I'm sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I pray you are all blessed. Do you ever wonder if there is something more to this Christian Walk? Things can get so mundane sometimes. We get up, we go to work, we come home, we go to bed, we get up, we go to work, we go to church we go to bed. Do you ever feel as if something is missing? As if you are lacking something? The church (body of Christ) has been so entangled with every day church life that we are missing the true glory of the Lord. I am so tired of waiting for the big "revival"! The truth of the matter is, as long as we keep on our current path as a body, we are missing out on all the things God offers and is going to do in the end times, with or with out us. Think about it, we go to church, have an opening prayer, couple of special songs, offering, and have some stale bread (the Word) and hope..........HOPE someone gets changed! We stay put in the four walls of the church HOPING people will come to church. Jesus told us to go into the highways and byways and compel them to come in. How do you compel someone to come in? If they’re hungry, FEED THEM. Thirsty? Give them drink. Homeless? Feed them. We can’t stop there either; we must look for every opportunity to meet their needs. If they are sick, heal them. We must go outside the four walls of a church and compel them to come in. Now the question is what we are compelling them to come into. A stagnant pond? Or rather a river of fresh water where thirst is quenched. Leaders, aren’t you tired of going through you Christian life without having God's glory in it? I am! We must go on a journey to seek and find what God is doing in OUR TIME, for SUCH A TIME AS THIS. I want what God has for me and my family. I want what God wants to use me for to help others. I don’t want Christianity as usual, I want more!

Scott a.k.a. We hear on the news about hurricanes, mudslides, earthquakes, new disease concerns like the bird flu, and we are taken back by these things. We shouldn’t be to shocked, seeing that Jesus said these things would come to pass in the last days. We have a tendency to get scared when we hear the words last days, but as Christians, this is something we can rejoice in. Now, don’t take it wrong and say, oh well, Jesus is coming back soon, no need to do anything, let’s just hold the fort until he gets here. Jesus tells us to "occupy until he comes". When you look at traits of an occupying army, you see an army that has taken authority, someone who has taken ground. Occupying is an active stance. We as Christians are to take authority and implement God's kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. There are no sick people in heaven; there is no lack, no lack of compassion in action. We cannot sit idly by and wait for His return, he is coming back after a spotless and blameless church, and that doesn’t mean sinless and perfect, it means, mature and capable. So we are to be on the offensive. In order for the church, the body of Christ, to become "spotless and blameless" there must be changes to the body. We must learn to see as God sees, loves as He loves, believe as He believes. It’s so sad to see that in a lot of churches, it’s the Christians doing most of the hurting. Jesus called these people Pharisee's. Don’t be so spiritual that you are no earthly good. We need to strike a balance of being spiritual, and implementing it on an earthly level, that’s how we can reach people. We must occupy, cast down falsehoods, false images of God, and shine the light of truth, so that all men will be drawn. Let’s not wait until he comes and just hang on, let’s get moving, do as much good as we can until he comes.

Scott a.k.a. With Hurricane Katrina hitting the Gulf Coast, and most notably, New Orleans, questions abound and anger is kindled. Why did it take so long to get aid to those people, why did lawlessness prevail, where was God in all this? The answer to the first two questions will have to be answered over time, but we can take a look at the third one right now. Where was God? Why would he do this or allow it to happen. Some people would say, because New Orleans was such a sinful place, this came to pass. I don’t agree with that. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah? If there had been 5 righteous people God would have spared it, and I’m pretty sure, that New Orleans had more than that. So why then did this happen? First of all we live in an imperfect world. When sin came into the world through Adam and Eve, Sickness, storms, evil behavior, and death came into the world with it. God lets man have free will to make those decisions. So living in an imperfect, sin infected world, we have catastrophes, death tolls, sickness and all that accompany it. But if we look closely, we can see God at work even now. Christians showing the love of God to their hurting neighbors, God's people helping meet the needs of a nation in dire need. We must step up in times like this and show God's love, meet the needs, console the broken hearted. Jesus said I have come to heal the broken hearted. Now, I have never been in a situation like these people are in, so I cant say I understand how they feel, but I can say, if I were in that situation with them, I would want to know someone loved me. Someone cared for me, someone was there to offer me a hand up. I know resources are tight right now for all of us; I couldn’t help out even close as much as I wanted to, so I gave what I could and expect Jesus to multiply it to meet the need. I encourage you in the Lord, to give of yourself, your money, your time, be a volunteer if you can or God is calling you. Bless these people in His name that they might see his great love at work in their lives, and that God cares for them and their wellbeing. Lord we pray that you provide to have the needs met of these people. Show them you love in a great way. Work miracles; show wonders that they may know you are God. Provide for their long term care also Lord, that they can become established in you. In Jesus Name Amen.

Scott a.k.a. Its one of my favorites! It says, For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. That’s an awesome thought! Jesus didn’t come to point fingers or to pick on our faults, but to save us from them! So often in the church, when someone falls down and uber messes up, we trash them or act shocked, OH MY, I can’t believe they done that! "GASP" What would you have done, if when you went to Jesus to ask forgiveness, he said those things to you? It would really hurt. I thank God that he has given me a soft heart for those hurting people. I know what its like to mess up uber after being born again, and if someone I looked up to hadn’t said, its going to be alright, I probably would have just quit right then! COME ON PEOPLE! When Peter tried walking on the water he walked out to where Jesus was, but when he saw the waves and wind he took his eyes off of Jesus, he fell. Jesus reached down his hand and lifted him up! What would have happened if Jesus had said, OH MY PETER I CANT BELIEVE YOU FELL! That wasn’t the only time Peter fell either. Three times he denied the Lord! Three Times! Did Jesus then say, OH MY PETER I CAN’T BELIEVE you did that.......Three Times no less? Peter messed up many times, but Jesus always forgave him. Now, I say this to Christians everywhere, are we more holy than Jesus? Are we to be less forgiving than Jesus? We are to be the image of Jesus for we are his body! Let’s help folks when they fail. Let’s help them in the turmoil. Let’s lift them up and not kick them down farther! I don’t care if they mess up fifty five blue million times, we are to be all about loving them, not trashing them! To you who have fallen...I have fallen too, I have missed the mark whether on purpose or by accident, and I am here to say, IT'S NOT OVER! IT'S NEVER OVER! He will never leave you or forsake you, which is his promise. When you become Gods child, he doesn’t toss you away when you mess up; he helps you to get back on your feet again. He is a loving God and he loves you so much, that he gave up everything he loved, that he might gain your love! Gods mercy is renewed every morning........he loves you and so do I. In Jesus name be blessed, comforted, and overwhelmed by Gods GREAT LOVE! I would like to speak specifically to those people who have fallen in God. First thing you need to know is that Christians aren’t perfect, only forgiven! This is an awesome concept. We have all sinned and fallen short of Gods glory, but his love covers a multitude of sins. If you are down in the pit now, it seems dark and that Gods love and forgiveness are out of sight, but I can assure you that he, at this very moment, is holding you in his loving arms, longing so much for you to turn to him and let him comfort you. Never give up, NEVER! We have all been there. I have been there, and its so lonely and miserable, and the reason it is that way, is we think we have to come out of it before we can talk to God again, feel his love again. Kind of like he won’t love us if we are dirty. It is in that very state wherein he loves us the most! We are the neediest of his love at that point. We need a comforter more than ever at that point. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for the ungodly, so how much more now being a child will he freely give us all things. He sent the Holy Spirit to comfort us in those times, not to condemn, but to uplift. In your moment of most need, that’s when he longs to be needed the most. In his hour of worst pain and suffering, HE saw us on the cross, and that pulled him through. Likewise, in our greatest moment of trial, let us see him and he will pull us through! God is so good to us and more than ever when we don’t deserve it the most. In the middle of your sin, look to God, he understands. He isn’t mad, or shocked that you messed up, but he is longing so much to comfort you. Sometimes sin is hard to overcome, therefore we go through cycles of trying to make our minds change, or put in it is what impossible to do in the flesh, to have the right desires to do the right things. But to my amazement, the desire to do what’s right is already in us. It’s not something we develop. We have a born again spirit in us, one that has the desires of God. We still have a flesh part too, one that battles against the spirit part, and it’s a real battle. First of all, God sees your heart, he knows you desire to do what’s right, and if you don’t have victory over all of your problems, he knows it already. Even the most mature Christian has certain personality faults, although as you grow in God you will overcome more and more of them, but to God sin is sin. What he requires is for you to give him what you have in your hands. The little boy with the five loaves and two fishes brought Jesus what he had. Jesus had need of enough food to feed 5000 people, so the loaves weren’t much to offer. NO matter what that little boy done, he didn’t have enough strength to develop enough food for that requirement. So what he did was, give Jesus what he had and Jesus multiplied it to make it enough. WHAT GOD REQUIRES IS PERFECTION, BUT WE NONE HAVE THE STRENGTH TO DEVELOP IT. Even when faced with the snags of sin, we have sometimes little strength left to fight it, but give Jesus what you have.......if only a desire to do what’s right and he will multiply it. All he requires is Your Heart. Give him what you have, it may be little, it may be next to nothing, but give it to him and he will make it great in Him! Lord we love you so much, thank you for your mercy and grace that covers us in our weaknesses and shortcomings. We thank you for your strength and power to develop in us what we don’t have and we thank you that you give us a fresh heart to love you with. Lord, there are so many of us who are wild for you on the inside, but things on the outside get in the way, Lord forgive us from our sins, and our transgressions. We thank you that you promised to love us and never leave us. We thank you that you are our Father, and a perfect father at that. Thanks for all the times you have forgiven us and all the times you will forgive us, and thanks for us always being on your mind. In Jesus name Amen!

Scott a.k.a. I was just thinking about how in life we go through struggles, and it’s so hard sometimes to see that it’s going to be ok. I think we can take a lot from our past experiences, or if you are a new Christian, take from someone else’s, the point being, that through these struggles, we don’t always feel or see God working, but if we look to those past problems, in our lives or someone else’s, we can see that God was there all along. When you come through your troubles, and you will for God says, This Too Shall Pass; you will see that he was there all along! I have had so many down times in my faith, times that seemed so dark that I couldn’t feel God, couldn’t sense his presence, but he was there, and it wasn’t until I came out of it that I saw he was there, that he hadn’t left me. HE IS WORKING EVEN IN THE NIGHT. He neither sleeps nor slumbers, but in the darkness it shall even be as light around you. Just trust him. I know it’s hard sometimes, really hard when you don’t have a correct image of him, but he is worth trusting, and he won’t let you down. You may think your problem is surrounding you, but KNOW THAT GOD holds you and your problem in his MIGHTY HANDS! Don’t try to figure it all out in the middle of it. In his time he will show you! GOD IS IN CONTROL! Jesus loves ya. AMEN!

Scott a.k.a. Whether we have messed up totally, just need a refreshed outlook, or a new direction, this is something we probably will all go through at some time or another. A new beginning can be God telling you to go in a certain direction that’s new, or telling you something that goes against the mindsets you have formed over the years. That can be really scary! God has done a lot of that with me, tearing down old mindsets and building up new ones. It even feels wrong sometimes, but you feel it in your gut its God. That’s where faith and confidence comes in. Confidence in God, that whatever happens, He has your back! Tonight we are having a ministry outing, and I must admit I’m scared somewhat. It’s been a while, as we have all been learning from God in different ways, all the while waiting for the ministry God has spoken to come to pass. Sometimes I don’t feel adequate; I think, how can God use a mess like me! I was trippin on that the other day, and he said you have love don’t you; people need love more than anything! So whether you are stuck in a rut, or feeling far from God, don’t give up! There is always a time for a new beginning. Every morning is a new beginning for God, for his mercy is renewed every morning. So if you have had a bad day, week, month, or even year, let today be a new beginning with God. Just be real with Him. He knows everything about us anyway, even where hair # 2203 is located! Ask him simply to help you, where your at, give him what you have, you can’t give him what you don’t have, and he will multiply it! In Jesus Name AMEN!

Scott a.k.a. I was just thinking about the goodness of God. We are soooo blessed! It doesn’t always seem that way, buy we are. I know life seems so hard sometimes, and it is, life isn’t easy, but it could be so much worse. I often find myself feeling down and far from God. A lot of this is due to issues from my past, but I'm so thankful for it. I know he is going to use what I go through to help others as they go through. Just think of that, the very thing the enemy means for evil, God turns and uses for good. I heard a minister the other day say, we always ask God why, but he said to think of it as, God, thank you for trusting me to go through this. The bible says he will not put more on us then we can bear. So if it seems like it’s a lot, it’s a sign of how much he trusts you. Think of it, God trusts us! That’s pretty cool! He has been working with me on a lot of stuff, mostly my relationship and view of him. IT CAN GET SO DISTORTED SOMETIMES! BAH! I thank God that I am improving in that area....and so many people will benefit from it! AMEN! That rocks! I am and will continue to help people realize Gods love for them, His fathership of them, His desire to cuddle and hold us close as we realize WE CANNOT DO IT! It takes him! Whatever it is, we CANNOT do it. The flesh profits nothing, but the spirit profits to eternal life. If we do it in the flesh, on our own strength, we must maintain it in the flesh, but what is done in the spirit is maintained in the spirit. That’s Him maintaing it, that’s us resting in his rest and that’s GLORIOUS! One more quit thing, when God looks at us, he sees out born again spirit, the one that’s born of the incorruptible seed of the word of God which lives and abides forever! He sees Jesus. When we do sin, He isn’t the Judge, but the Father, who wants what’s best for his kids. AMEN! Pretty cool thought, I’m Gods kid! Once my little girl said to her grandmother, “Granny, My Daddy sure is a pretty big man......but he sure cuddles good!" If I being an earthly father can cuddle well, how much more can our Father in heaven cuddle with us! God bless, stay tuned for more. Love ya in Jesus!

Scott a.k.a. Most of us have heard of the "theory" of evolution. That’s the point, it’s only a theory. It's never been proven as scientific fact. Too many presumptions and holes fill the theory for it to be stated for fact. Here are some interesting things according to Karl Popper's definition of the scientific method.

1. OBSERVATION -steps of evolution have never been observed (Stebbins).
In the fossil record we view our data as so bad that we never see the very process we profess to study. (Gould)
2. EXPERIMENTATION -The processes would exceed the lifetime of any
human experimenter (Dobzhansky)
3. REPRODUCTION impossible to reproduce in the laboratory. (Dobshansky)
4. FALSIFICATION -cannot be refuted thus outside empirical science. (Ehrlich)

According to this, Evolution cannot be proven as fact by scientific method and therefore must retain its status as a theory. Now, the word theory means:
Theory, an assumption or system of assumptions, accepted principles, and rules of procedure based on limited information or knowledge, devised to analyze, predict, or otherwise explain the nature or behavior of a specified set of phenomena; abstract reasoning.
According to Encarta, this is the definition of theory. It is merely an assumption based on limited information or knowledge, but yet they contend that creationism isn’t factual, but only a myth. According to what we little we have talked about on the subject of evolution, it seems like evolution itself is in the same boat, a myth. So with these two theories standing on at least on equal ground, it seems that the elite in society would look at all the possibilities, including creationism. So I contend that teaching both with equal attention is not only appropriate, but required if true science is to prevail. Just some of my thoughts on the subject. The information listed above about scientific method is from the website www.creationevidence.org, by Dr. Carl Baugh. God Bless You All.
