Reason being, each time i'm ill, mom will take me to the doctor. Half the time, there will be pills for me to take. I'll cry and whine each time i have to take my medication. I cant refuse. I'll feel even worse if i dont take my medication. Of course, the bitter pill works wonders. Once i've taken it, i'll feel well again. And life goes on.

Today, i'm presented with another bitter pill to take. It's not in a physical form, but i have no choice but to swallow it. Or shall i just say it's literally shoved down my throat this time. I cant struggle, i cant decline, i dont have a say in it. I'm trapped, in other words. And i dont like it at all. I had a feeling this will come eventually, but the timing just isnt right at all. Life really sucks at this point of time.

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-41885295512818763712008-07-18T22:47:00.004+08:002008-07-18T23:06:41.930+08:00The blogaholic in me is back
I've decided to go back to burning the midnight oil again. Making money online is really not that easy as many of you think it is. A typical day for me is i work till maybe 6am, head back to bed, sleep till 11am, get up get the kids ready for school, out to lunch, maybe banking or do some other chores, come back, nap if time permits, pick Gordon up from school at 4pm, take him for food, come back bathe him, then pick Malcolm up from daycare, nap again till around 9pm, and another workday begins, you get the drift.

Of cos, hubby is always here to help if my schedule is really busy like having to speed post 100 posts in a day that kinda thing. I can come back to start work right after lunch and he will take care of the rest like pick Gordon up and yadda yadda yadda. Haih, busy as hell. I'm always like this whenever i see improvement in my new venture. One cannot depend on a single stream of income when online. It's always good to branch out and try new things. Well, nothing ventured nothing gained. I'm such a blogaholic at times.

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-34031289144145617022008-07-17T06:50:00.002+08:002008-07-17T07:12:51.716+08:00The importance of Branding
If i have the means, i surely wouldnt want to buy a local car. A blog buddy of mine blogged about her experience with her new car recently. Yup, it's a local car but i'm not going to name which model here. The car isnt even three months old yet. And since my friend lives in a condominium, she needs to wind down the window in order to swipe her resident card each time she returns home. By now, i dont think i need to elaborate further what happened one day. You may have guessed it already. Alright.... the glass jump dropped down into the door panel. And it's a new car too.

Hubby was just telling me a day earlier that we can consider buying that particular model when we move out next time. Looks like it will never materialize. I'd rather pay a little bit extra and buy myself a reliable and good quality Japanese model. As far as cars are concerned, Branding is very important. If your brand is strong, people will have confidence in it and wont need to think twice before signing on the dotted line. After all, Japanese cars are very fuel efficient these days and have a good resale value too. If you run a business, sell a product or even run a website, do remember the importance of Branding. It's what keeps people coming back for more.

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-4277708595025857092008-07-17T06:33:00.002+08:002008-07-17T06:49:39.490+08:00My latest project is making me money!!!
It's now almost 7am and i'm still up blogging away. I've been going through my stats since 2am and came across something that just made me want to continue with my research. One of my experimental sites is making me money and i want to find out more about what is it thatis actually brought in the cash. If i can, i want to improve on the site and duplicate my success. The earnings may not be much now, but it's a starting point. With more effort, i believe it'll reward me handsomely over time. I made a promise to myself early this year. I told hubby we'll go on a vacation the moment i hit my third targeted earnings for the year.

Yes, my third. I set my goals in stages. This way, i dont over-stress myself and yet, have time to explore new things. I'm happy with my achievement for the first half of the year so far. I hope by third quarter, i'll reach my third goal. I've asked hubby where he wants to go and he suggested Mexico Beach Vacations this time. Sounds good. Mexico has good weather all year round. The kids will enjoy themselves immensely running all over the beach. Anyone here been to Mexico before? I'm sure many of you will go on a vacation during year ends. If you do, perhaps check out the link i left here in this beach. It has great vacation deals there.

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-60426316353090925972008-07-17T06:13:00.003+08:002008-07-17T06:32:06.572+08:00How to start a nightclub business
Seriously, folks, what have you got to say about our current local political scene? Boring, right. At a time when our economy is at an all-time low, dont you just think those politicians should be coming up with good ideas on how to improve it instead of bickering all day and all night long. Ever since the latest fuel price hike, a few of my friends with businesses like retail shops and restaurants in the big cities had to close their business down. One even had to declare bankrupty. Last i heard, creditors are still pounding on his door each day though they know he has no more money to repay them. Sad, eh.

In a way, there are just some business that thrive even when the economy is down. Eateries like coffeeshops is just one kind of business that will survive no matter how bad the economy is. As you know, people still need to eat and if your food is priced right, you'll survive. I have a friend who told me something weird the other day. He has an uncle who operates nightclubs around the city. He thought this uncle had to close down all his nightclubs and retire for good this time. But, no. His business has never been better. His uncle told him he uses this business plan on Nightclub Design which he bought from United Biz Books. It has everything one needs to know about starting a nightclub business. I'm interested in finding out more about this nightclub design business plan. What about you?

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-62721489705515343062008-07-17T03:22:00.002+08:002008-07-17T03:27:10.317+08:00New doorknob
The locksmith came over with his son to get our door knob changed. The whole process took no more than thirty minutes and we had to fork out 80 bucks for their service. And oh, that includes the doorknob too, k. So, no complaints. I've been meaning to get it changed for a long time anyway. So, what the heck. When the locksmith was changing my doorknob, his son was staring at my curtains. Apparently, he's not seen anyone using a patchwork quilt as a curtain. Oh, that'll be another story for another day.

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-82672873989867565292008-07-17T01:45:00.002+08:002008-07-17T01:54:28.258+08:00Will it be Cannes, Thailand or Vietnam?
It may still be Summer, but the weather over here is pretty much rather unpredictable. It rains mostly towards the evening. I just hope it's not a thunderstorm as that just means i may need to turn my modem off. Oh, i hate turning my modem off for fear i may not get back online again. Internet connection sucks here these days. I cant upload anything to my derver as any drop in connection may just result on me screwing up my blogs.

Haih, if only i can afford to take time off for a good Summer vacation. The thought of me enjoying a few days off at some Cannes Hotel can be really tempting, you know. I know Cannes is a bit too far. Asian countries are a better choice as they are nearer, and surely more affordable too. I'm an Asian and yet, havent been to any other Asian countries, lol. Well, it's time i explore a bit. Maybe a trip to Thailand or Vietnam. If you are looking for affordable accommodation like Thailand Hotel or Vietnam Hotel, then check out the links here.

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-10267823951684296532008-07-16T21:27:00.002+08:002008-07-16T21:54:14.898+08:00Locked out

The title says it all lah. She says since i spend so much time online, why not take up some online college courses. Hello!!!! I have so many blogs to update. If i dont spend time updating them, who's going to pay me. Even if i intend to take up an online course one day, i still need money for that, right. Anyway, i really dont feel like going back to school. Not even an online one. Really no time for that. But if you have the time and wants to take up an online course, then by all means, check out the link here. There are many different courses offered there and i'm sure you'll be able to find one that's right for you.

“This (or “the following”) blog post was (or “is”) based on information provided by Blogitive. It's already 8pm. if i dont finish all my posts in an hour's time, i wont have enough tine to rest. I may stay up to screw the serps tonight. But that also depends on my kids lah. Sometimes, Malcolm wants to ka-ka-ciau-ciau and i have to get back to bed with him. Arrgggghhhhh, i want my own place. I want a room all to myself. I need to work in peace. She went to a newly-opened salon for a facial but came back with red marks all over her face. I've told her many times over not to go to new beauty salons but she refuse to listen. Reason being, those new salons have cheap promotional packages. As far as my face is concerned, i only go to one where all their beauticians are certified by well recognized cosmetology schools. I'd rather pay more than end up like my cousin sister. What about you? If you have a friend who wants to take up a beauty course, then tell them to get themselves certified. I've left a link here to one of the best cosmetology schools around.

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-83092380749627663272008-07-16T13:41:00.002+08:002008-07-16T13:46:49.098+08:00Bought Malaysia Flavors magazine

Hubby has a brand new hobby. I'll elaborate on that later. But right now, let's just focus on this Flavors magazine which i picked up just now when i followed him into 7-11. This is not the latest issue. It's for the month of May - June. Didnt see July - August issue there yet. But what the heck. I bought it cos it's the ONLY magazine in English there. Like i'll ever cook something from the magazine. Where got time lah. But this issue has some nice stew recipes in it. And i dont have the time to go buy the couple a nice wedding gift. If the couple is Chinese, it's easy. A fat angpow will do. I'm okay with giving an angpow but sometimes, it's just not appropriate and that stresses me out. I dont have much time to shop these days. I do most of my shopping online as it's more convenient and saves me a lot of time and money. Another thing is i dont really like to drive to the malls by myself. I hate driving round and round the car park looking for a parking space.

Hubby suggested we get the couple a pair of genta watches this time. A few of his friends wear genta watches and he says they are very elegant watches. Frankly speaking, i've not seen a genta watch prior to this as none of my friends has it. But i've been to the site and i dare say that genta watches are indeed both elegant and beautiful. Seen one before? If you havent, i've left the link here where you can take a look at those beautiful genta watches. You may also want to get one for yourself whilst at it. Come to think of it, shall i just get hubby to buy me one?

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-77306059923559769732008-07-15T22:40:00.002+08:002008-07-15T22:44:52.462+08:00Flickr screwed AGAIN!!!!!!
Dunno what the fark is wrong with Flickr since yesterday. You see hoh, the post with Malcolm on it was posted via my phone late last night. Usually, it'll show up on the blog a few seconds after the sending indicator bar reaches the end and the screen goes off. You see what time it ended on my blog, lol. 10am plus this morning, knn. I have more than 75 posts to dish out in less than 30 hours and Flickr is screwed, niamah. I sent another this evening and it's no where in sight. Yerrrrrrr...... kiksei lerrrrrr............

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-38406266159281634022008-07-15T17:13:00.003+08:002008-07-15T17:36:17.866+08:00Ever tried a Slushy?
Some people just have all the luck. At a time when many are finding it hard to make end meets, my friend inherited an old shoplot from his late uncle last year. Every once in a while, he'll bring the subject of his shoplot up and asked us if we know of anyone who might be interested in renting it. Hubby's been there and the both of us agree that it's not a fantastic business location, but not entirely bad either. The place has this "TO LET" sign on it's front shutters for months already. The wordings are almost faded and yet, still no takers.

He now wants to set up a small business instead of leaving it empty. It's location right beside a school and the bus-stop is within walking distance to it. Previously, it was a coffee-shop. As it's near the streets, the place is rather polluted each time a bus passes by. Reason why it had to close down. He wanted to set up an internet cafe at first since it's near the school. he thought school children might like to hangout at the internet cafe after school hours. Too bad, our Authorities are very fickle-minded and change their rules and guidelines all the time.

Moreover, it takes a lot of money to set up an internet cafe. A lot of money has to be spent on computers, softwares and peripherals alone. Hubby suggested since the place is just right beside the school, he should cash in on the ready customers and cater to their needs. School children may not have much money but you cannot underestimate their spending power. They love to hangout in groups of three or fours. If one walks into your shop, the whole gang will follow. He has this idea of setting up a snack bar. The weather is so hot in the afternoon and schoolchildren loves to buy iced drinks like Slush Mix to sip on whilst waiting for their transportation.

You know what a Slushy is, right. Those tall paper cups filled with flavored crushed iced with a clear plastic cover on it. It's cheap and a great way to cool down the body after school. I'm sure you've tried it at least in your lifetime, lol. Anyway, i stumbled across this site that sells Slush Mix machines and Slush base. My friend will check it out to see if it's right for him or not. If you run a coffee shop or small eatery, you can consider having one of this around. Some people buy it for their homes. Great item to have during parties too. Have fun.

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-31566610860418626282008-07-15T10:44:00.002+08:002008-07-15T14:15:12.570+08:00Let's go now, Mama

Soon, Malcolm will be big enough to open the gates by himself. Yesterday, on his way to work, his car got hit from behind. What happened was the lights turned Orange as my cousin was approaching it. As he was driving so fast, the driver behind him thought he'll cross the road and stepped on his gas pedal. Too bad for him my cousin decided to stop. And too bad for my cousin, the driver behind him rammed into his car.

What else? Both of them got down from their respective vehicles and started to point fingers at each other. Anyway, my cousin is going to seek the help from a Lincoln, Nebraska Car Accident Attorney, to help sort things out. He gave me the link to the lawyer office for my future reference. You can go check it out if you like.
Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-13518254956015832472008-07-15T04:08:00.003+08:002008-07-15T04:50:31.415+08:00Important things to do before moving into a new house
I just finished listing down some important items we have to buy when we move out next time. It's best to plan ahead as i hate doing things at the very last minute. Oh, i may be great at troubleshooting and things like that. Afterall, i'm an ex-interior designer and certified project manager by profession. I know how to move house in less than 24 hours time. Done that many times before, lol. Really nothing much, just a bit stressed at the end of the day.

Life is very much different now as i have two kids in tow. Those days when there were only the both of us, we can get things done so much faster. I've made a rough estimation that we need at least 50k to move into a new place. And that's only to buy all the essential items, nothing frivolous at all. Hubby also said we have to allocate some funds to treat the house for mold, termites and other pests. We used to engage specialists to carry out all these for our customers.

I remember my uncle telling us he hired some mold removal specialist to treat his home before he moved into last time. Oh, that's because he bought an old house. See, that's the thing with old houses. You have to make sure that the house is safe to live in. I'm sure you've heard of people falling ill after moving to a new place, right. Old folks and very young children fall ill easily if the living environment isnt conducive for them.

Therefore, it's imperative to take the extra step and get your house inspected and treated before moving in. I've left the link to the Mold Removal Services company here for your convenience. If you suspect your house has mold, contact them. They will ensure that your house is safe to live in. You may want to save the link or bookmark this useful website for your future reference.

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-1196499934797235392008-07-15T02:38:00.005+08:002008-07-15T03:28:12.595+08:00Have you cruised on a street legal scooter before?
I'm sure most of you would have noticed the Oil price widget on my right sidebar. Does it make your heart beat faster each time you see it with the arrow pointing up. With rumors of impending war breaking out somewhere in the Middle-East soon, i think price of oil will only go higher and higher and higher. If this is indeed true, i wonder how much we have to pay in order to get around in our car.

I had a short discussion with hubby early this evening. I told him if possible, it's best that we stay within walking distance to shops next time. That way, we dont have to drive around so much and can save a lot on petrol alone. It's not easy to find a suitable place, you know. Gordon likes his school very much and i cant switch him to another one just like that. He's different from other kids, k.

We'll have to keep looking and hopefully find a place that's near his kindy for the time being. Then, we must list down the items we have to buy in order to move into a new place. Let's not forget we'll have to buy a new car too. My cousin heard me ranting about how much we had to fork out on petrol alone each month and told me i can save on petrol by using a Street Legal Scooters.

He lives near the shops and only drives to work. Apart from that, he scoots everywhere around the neighborhood on his mini scooter. The saving may not be much at first. But after some calculations, he found that he saved close to 200 bucks after comparing his petrol bills over a course of three months. That's a lot of money. I can use that for other monthly expenses like grocery items and utility bills.

And this is how his scooter looks like. The scooter is easy to store with the Folding Lock-n-Carry Mechanism. He says it's very simple to operate. He only needs to pull the handle to unlock the scooter, then fold it down. It has an over-sized foot plate and he can stand on it as he cruises to the nearby shops. He says i can buy Street Legal Scooters at AbsoFabScooters .com for $399. There another at $319 too. Interested in getting one?

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-61123306121260037352008-07-15T02:12:00.004+08:002008-07-15T02:21:45.653+08:00Error pertaining to previous post on Angelina Jolie twins pics
Tiu, some knnccb gave me wrong link to Angelina Jolie twins pics, niamah. Will post link up here once i get the right one. Sorry, folks. The latest news is that those baby pics have been sold to an unnamed USA mag for a cool USD15million, all of which goes to charity of course. Hope to get my hands on them by weekend. Thank you for the patience.

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-7702345850548250082008-07-14T20:51:00.002+08:002008-07-14T21:17:16.594+08:00A hungry kid and chisin MIL
I spent the better half of my precious productive working hours listening to friend blabbering away at yet another MLM plan this afternoon. To cut it short, i'm retired from MLM. In fact, both hubby and i ARE. We've moved on. The meeting lasted until 3.30pm. The sky was dark and gloomy and shows signs it's about to pour anytime. Left with about 15 minutes to go pick Gordon up, we decided against going back home. It's just nearby anyway.

I suggested to hubby we can use the time to go tapau some food before picking him up. But upon reaching the foodcourt, we were informed that the kitchen wasnt ready yet. As it's about to rain, i then told hubby i'll make Gordon some egg toast back home. Once i got Gordon into the bathroom, i went about cracking eggs and getting bread ready for the pan. Wont take more than 10 minutes to dish something up. MIL was also getting ready to cook and when she saw me preparing food for Gordon, her face turned black.

Who cares lah. The eggs and bread were ready and i went about making egg toast for Gordon. By the time food's ready, Gordon's all dressed and waiting at the table inside the bedroom. He was so happy when he saw his favorite egg toast and sang as he ate. MIL walked past the bedroom and complaint, "Eat bread can lah, no need to eat rice lah...." and walked off, LOL. Who knows what time she cooks. Mood tou sei. Sometimes cook, most of time, no. Lidis also want to show face color. You say chi9sin or not. End of bedtime story. Good night.
Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-78712951717701063552008-07-14T08:37:00.006+08:002008-07-14T11:25:13.398+08:00Say it with funny t shirts
I downloaded a new horoscope widget onto my Nokia N82 the other day. I'm a LEO, and this is what my horoscope read yesterday. "You're felling pretty great today, but if anyone close is in a bad mood, you might get dragged down to that level all too easily. Rise above the pettiness, if possible --you dont have to go there". I'm not one that believes in horoscope reading and such, but it can be fun to read them each day. I dont know how far true those predictions can be, but what i read yesterday sounds quite true.

Hubby got flakked by his dad for nothing on Saturday night for nothing. It's all his sister's fault for bringing his dad a late night supper that night. He had some brandy and was just about to go to bed. But you know, a supper from his favorite daughter must not go to waste and so, he ate it. Then, he found it difficult to sleep thereafter. Hubby was playing the Wii at the living hall with Malcolm. His dad made up a stupid excuse and blamed him for causing him to lose sleep as it's noisy when indigestion is the main cause of it. BAHHHHHHH.

The TV volume was so low that it can hardly be heard. Malcolm wasnt even making noise but was playing by himself. Hubby got pissed and came back to the room with Malcolm. After my FIL left the house later on, we found that he had unplugged the tv and Wii from the wall socket and he even went and hide the multi-socket too. What a childish act. Think we're kids or what. See, this is how life is here at times. Really sucks, i tell you.

It's just too bad i cant retaliate or something like that. Ya, his house, he rules, ptui. A friend told me i can actually voice my displeasure without being vocal about it. The same thing happened to her some time back and she went and order some funny t shirts with appropriate wordings online and wore them everyday as a form of silent protest. I'll do just that. I'll buy a dozen each for hubby, the kids and myself and wear them everyday until he gets the message.

Isnt this the most appropriate one, lol. Oh, there are more good ones. This is my favorite and the best way for me to vent my frustration without any verbal exchange of words. You want to buy some, you go click on the link in the above paragraph. I've already discussed with hubby and we're planning to move out soon. I think i've had enough of living in a place which i dont have a sense of belonging at all.
Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14489984.post-47642099803695600142008-07-12T01:17:00.002+08:002008-07-12T02:43:01.814+08:004

Gordon loves numbers these days. The jigsaw puzzle i bought for him a few months back is all in pieces now, lol. Many of the pieces have now gone missing. Gordon can spend a long time playing with the loose pieces , forming numbers on the bedroom carpet. See how he decorates the number 4 with his toys.

Sammhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10829349679137470540noreply@blogger.com
