Here is what I bought from Ally Pally. Velvet flowers and leaves. Some Dya na flow dyes. Barbara and Bett's new doll patterns. New in the market some dyes called Quick colours. They are right up my street as you only have to wet silk and dab these dyes on it and microwave to set it. No messing around which is what I like quick and easy. Then some natural silk hankies. They will be fun to dye.

I have been busy with a project as well as getting sidetracked into various other chores. I can only show this to you for the moment. I had nine very enthusiastic students in my class in Chennai(Madras). They seemed to have had great fun even though the time ran out for completing their dolls. She is done at least that is all I am going to do to. I think I can add more things to her but time is getting on and I need to pack and sort things out. Had trouble with her face. As her whole body is painted with acrylics I couldn't use my colour pencils to paint her face which is what I am used to. I had to use acrylics and doing with paint brush oh goodness it is hard I am not used to it.

I am going to India tomorrow so have been busy with various things. While I am there I am hoping to do a doll class. I am incorporating lots of techniques and tips that I learnt from Christine Shively in this class so I am sure people will enjoy it. I am not using Christine's pattern but using my own pattern. I received this beautiful wedding invitation this weekend and thought what a lovely idea Nancy in India had of using these wedding invitations into a journal. Most of the Indian wedding invitations are very elaborate and colourful. Although this one is not very colourful I think it is a very elegant card and I will use it when I start doing a journal and I am going to start collecting them.

Today I went for my Paverpol workshop and here is what I made. She is still not completely dry though. I used one of my own coloured fabrics which I wanted to try and not the one that they did in the class. I think the fabric I used was a bit too flimsy for the dark background. So it takes away some of the lovely bright colour of the cloth. I have highlighted the folds with some gold which
