We showed up a few days before the event to chill, ride the course and enjoy the southern weather. As we road up to the course to investigate what speed and style is all about we found Ebbett and Lanoski building the ramps, building with style but not with speed. Before we could offer our help jeff gave us the old "ill buy you dinner and beer if you help us get this place together" I said "ya I was going to any way but ill take free dinner and beer". It worked out good! <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sh7kvWqfB4I/AAAAAAAAAv8/WyI2Ss_C0og/s1600-h/ebit+doin+work.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sh7kvWqfB4I/AAAAAAAAAv8/WyI2Ss_C0og/s320/ebit+doin+work.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340957710296745858" border="0" /></a><br />Thursday night ended with a trip to Lowes buying large stacks of wood on someone else's budget, free dinner and back to the hotel after the long day of travel.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sh7lAd38O6I/AAAAAAAAAwE/qXoHslX5RME/s1600-h/IMG00072-20090516-2325.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sh7lAd38O6I/AAAAAAAAAwE/qXoHslX5RME/s200/IMG00072-20090516-2325.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340958004290010018" border="0" /></a><br />Friday morning started at the 24hour cafe\bar. We got egg sandwiches and some local dude ordered a beer.<br /><br /><br /><br />After food we headed to the event to work our asses off riding and building for the rest of the day. The ramps got built and shredded till dark with lots of spectators, live music and news crews covering the event. Ending the night with another free dinner on jeff.<br />Saturday morning started with the standard 24hour cafe and practice for the contest. Rocco and mike had to stick around and place 3rd and 4th while I road to the hospital and ended up missing a bunch of sic stuff.<br /><br />I may not have won the bike event but a pic of me did win the photo contest! <span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="font-style: italic;">(The one on top)</span></span> And my dude nurse saw clips of rocco mike and I on a event commercial during family guy!<br />Over all a good time!<br /><br />On my way out to finish building bikes, pick up vince and go film sweet riding for you viewing pleasure!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sh7mDwfxcDI/AAAAAAAAAwc/BDYJ0D8kR4Q/s1600-h/IMG00094-20090528-1423.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sh7mDwfxcDI/AAAAAAAAAwc/BDYJ0D8kR4Q/s400/IMG00094-20090528-1423.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340959160340148274" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: right;">Clinton <br /></div><span style="font-style: italic; color: rgb(204, 102, 204);">Sent from my Verizon Wireless CrackBerry</span><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/144833013573917492-1042603493638280406?l=dobermannbikes.blogspot.com'/></div>Dobermann Bikeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08699892624887603707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-144833013573917492.post-63210881836403750842009-05-27T21:21:00.002-04:002009-05-27T21:30:04.240-04:00Everywhere<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8aVkSYsoCFQ/Sht4kLglvTI/AAAAAAAAAFw/od_i5xHVmpY/S1600-R/everywhere-new-logo+small.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 640px; height: 244px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8aVkSYsoCFQ/Sht4kLglvTI/AAAAAAAAAFw/od_i5xHVmpY/S1600-R/everywhere-new-logo+small.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br />Everywhere is one of the best MTB dirt, park and street videos that came out lately. Without any out-of-this-world budget, Vincent Allard succefully realised a great biking video. Getting us to places as far as Russia, France, England, Canada and the USA, Vincent skillfully mixed great footage focusing on riders like Andrew Bigelow, Clinton Mcmahon, Toffee Dan, Jeremy Menduni, Joe Karam, Kent Woods, Logan Peat, Michel Plonka, Rocco Quittiliani, Tommy Lajoie, Adam Hauck, Xavier Cloutier, Stephane Karle & many more. The movie is available in the UK via <a href="http://www.dynamicstyle.bigcartel.com/">Dynamic style</a> , in France via <a href="http://www.bikeforlife-import.com">Bike For life import</a> and on <a href="http://www.ride-this.com/">ride this</a> in North America. Clark and Matt are knolageable, friendly and helpful people and we are proud to be working with them. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.ride-this.com/"><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 202px; CURSOR: pointer; HEIGHT: 80px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://www.ride-this.com/skin/frontend/default/default/images/bg_logo.jpg" border="0" /></a>We believe that bike shops are better than us in regards to your biking needs, we are no longer selling direct in the US (Same policy in Canada). We will keep communicating with you regarding custom work, swag and occasional clearouts, but for regular production frames and parts, we ask you to go through <a href="http://www.ride-this.com/">Ride-This.com</a> or your usual bike shop to place your order. If your bike shop does't carry dob's...just ask them to get in touch with us and we will hook them up with our product!<br /><br />Cheers!<br /><br />Alain<br /><span style="TEXT-DECORATION: underline"><br /></span><h1 id="logo"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.ride-this.com/skin/frontend/default/default/images/bg_logo.jpg"><br /></a></h1><h1 id="logo"><a href="http://www.ride-this.com/index.php/"><br /></a></h1><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/144833013573917492-1653663187220732221?l=dobermannbikes.blogspot.com'/></div>Dobermann Bikeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08699892624887603707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-144833013573917492.post-39319699308630431122009-04-08T22:00:00.005-04:002009-04-08T22:20:16.494-04:00Pink and MID's update<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sd1XTlIWuII/AAAAAAAAAsA/vtZTcwGiQW0/s1600-h/pinkgusset.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322506328518080642" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 266px; CURSOR: pointer; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sd1XTlIWuII/AAAAAAAAAsA/vtZTcwGiQW0/s400/pinkgusset.jpg" border="0" /></a>Yes I know... its taken us for ever to get the Pink ready for production, but we prefer to take our time and do it right.<br /><br />Our small 3 men operation can't stop the day to day production, so the Pink prototype and production JIG's need to be done at night, on weekend and pretty much when ever we have free time. After a summer with <a href="http://distilledmag.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/pressphoto1.jpg">Clinton</a> testing the proto with double flip, backflip tail whip and crazy big stuff, we have decided to upgrade the Pink from Spanish to MID BB and to add a few gussets for more lateral stiffness.<br /><br />The MID bb are becoming the standard BB in the BMX scene. As they are stronger than spanish BB and the R12 bearing is one of the most common bearing in America which mean you can find those bad boyz pretty much in any hardware store at a very reasonable price compare to the Spanish size bearing that are custom made for the bike industries.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sd1Xq0Pb1HI/AAAAAAAAAsI/l9dVdWyS4_g/s1600-h/pivotbb.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322506727711298674" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: pointer; HEIGHT: 213px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sd1Xq0Pb1HI/AAAAAAAAAsI/l9dVdWyS4_g/s320/pivotbb.jpg" border="0" /></a>So...we also decided to use the MID's on our Molosse frames.<br />The MID BB we are using on the Molosse and on the PINK are CNC machined in America by our friend Aaron at <a href="http://www.solidbmx.com/">Solid BMX</a>. <a href="http://www.solidbmx.com/">Solid</a> are making some kick ass product and also supply parts for many BMX frame builder such as <a href="http://www.fbmbmx.com/">FBM BMX</a>.<br /><br />As you can see our MID BB is machined with a "rib" inside to allow some very thin outside wall to keep everything "solid" and light.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sd1X4IPGlPI/AAAAAAAAAsQ/LLFsT4K5Ygo/s1600-h/rib.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322506956416914674" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: pointer; HEIGHT: 161px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/Sd1X4IPGlPI/AAAAAAAAAsQ/LLFsT4K5Ygo/s200/rib.jpg" border="0" /><span id="formatbar_Buttons" style="DISPLAY: block"><span onmouseup="" class="on" onmousedown="CheckFormatting(event);FormatbarButton('richeditorframe', this, 8);ButtonMouseDown(this);" id="formatbar_CreateLink" onmouseover="ButtonHoverOn(this);" title="Link" style="DISPLAY: block" onmouseout="ButtonHoverOff(this);"><img class="gl_link" alt="Link" src="http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif" border="0" /></span></span></a>The Pink BB shell and pivot is design with the same inside "rib".<br /><br />The frame we are working on tonight is going to France for pro rider <a href="http://www.hattonbike.com/">Christopher Hatton</a>.<br />Its the first of the last 3 preproduction proto. Once those 3 are done, tested and our production jig's are good to go( as much as we love and cherish our Anvil jig...she is not design for full-suspension bike production..so we had to build our own jig for the Pink and Stella frames) the official production Le Pink frames will start to roll out the shop in limited quantity.<br /><br />Stay tune for <a href="http://www.hattonbike.com/">Christopher Hatton</a> review of the Pink.<br /><br />Cheers!<br /><br />Alain<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/144833013573917492-3931969930863043112?l=dobermannbikes.blogspot.com'/></div>Dobermann Bikeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08699892624887603707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-144833013573917492.post-62682073783777242002009-04-04T13:38:00.004-04:002009-04-04T13:44:14.713-04:00Happy B-Day 2 U, U belong in a zoo!<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/SdecIvuOEVI/AAAAAAAAAr4/ebhgnrkQjmQ/s1600-h/DSC_0932.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ozf_vjd4cPg/SdecIvuOEVI/AAAAAAAAAr4/ebhgnrkQjmQ/s320/DSC_0932.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5320893158824743250" /></a><br /><br />Special post just to wish the monkey in my life a great day for his 31th birthday.<br /><br /><br /><br />Je t'aime <br /><br /><br /><br />Gen<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/144833013573917492-6268207378377724200?l=dobermannbikes.blogspot.com'/></div>Dobermann Bikeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08699892624887603707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-144833013573917492.post-43050598820946488422009-03-31T12:56:00.001-04:002009-03-31T13:00:07.888-04:00Spring EditSummer will be back soon enough!<br /><br />Good job guys..and hope you feel better soon Clint ;)<br /><br /><object width="400" height="270"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3859281&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=3859281&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="400" height="270"></embed></object><br /><a href="http://vimeo.com/3859281">THE SPRING THING</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user972660">Clinton McMahon</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/144833013573917492-4305059882094648842?l=dobermannbikes.blogspot.com'/></div>Dobermann Bikeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08699892624887603707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-144833013573917492.post-47228704519931647532009-03-26T15:57:00.005-04:002009-03-31T12:55:52.727-04:00Made In FranceCool video from Remy "Gexx" in Verneuil sur seine France.<br />(Sorry, I don't know how to make it fit on this page)<br /><br /><div style="font-size:80%; text-align : center;"><br /><object width="649" height="525"><br /><param name="movie" value="http://www.zapiks.fr/share/player.swf?skin=zapiks&file=24896&lang=fr"></param><br /><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><br /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"></param><br /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><br /><embed src="http://www.zapiks.fr/share/player.swf?skin=zapiks&file=24896&lang=fr" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="649" height="525" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" ></embed><br /></object><br /><!-- Merci de soutenir notre projet en laissant ce petit lien! --><a href="http://www.zapiks.fr/spring-level-2009.html" title="Spring Level 2009">Spring Level 2009</a></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/144833013573917492-4722870451993164753?l=dobermannbikes.blogspot.com'/></div>Dobermann Bikeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08699892624887603707noreply@blogger.com0
