Wow . . . didn't realise how long it's been since I last posted. The fair went well. Sold a few things which was very exciting, but then spent all the money on things from Beautiful Thinghood. Oh well.

Here is a picture of my stuff . . . .

I still have some things left so if anyone wants to do a swap let me know. I made phone cases, glasses cases, CD cases and paintbrush holders/knitting needle holders, and small carry bags.

Here is a diary cover specially designed for Nick from Bookclub Records. Vic will also be getting one soon . . . with a teapot design.

"clay paper cloth" will present an eclectic mix of artists and their wares.
bring along a big old basket to fill up with goodies and

as there are no eftpos or credit card facilities at the venue!
country baked refreshments, tea & coffee will be available and
we will feature a lucky door prize with objects of desire from each of the participating artists...

this show was wonderful last year and promises to be so again...
take a trip to the country...be curious...appreciate art...

Where did the time go?

I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted. As usual too many things to do in too little time.

I have finished my back tack II bag and sent that off today, finally. I hope the person I sent it to likes it. It was really hard making something for someone I know next to nothing about.

I'm also busy trying to make things for an art and craft fair that a friend of mine has organised for November. I'm very excited, more so about seeing everyone else's stuff than actually selling some of mine . . . for the first time EVER!

Oh, and I keep forgetting that in amongst all this I am supposed to be studying. . . not a great deal of focus has been going into that lately. As of today that is going to change!

I have just finished watching the first season of Scrubs. Oh, so very funny!

Amelia and Xander

Amelia is a very happy girl. . .

The reason why? . . . because on the weekend I made her a little guy friend. His name is Xander.

And the thing she is very excited about is that he wears great shoes (yes, Amelia is the kind of girl who wears clips in her hair and judges boys by their shoes).

No time for craftyness

Haven't had much time to pursue crafty projects lately. Last I did was a little doll like amelia, and a cd cover for red felt flower for her birthday. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of them.

I have been busy trying to organise my life - seems to be on ongoing project for me. I started my PhD this year, so at the moment I'm trying to juggle that and some research assistant work and still have some time to myself to socialise and be creative. I'm slowly getting there.

Have recently purchased myself some new music from the wonderful bookclub records. On high rotation on the CD player at the moment are: Sprites "Bionic Hands" EP, Maths and Physics Club "Weekends Away" EP, Love Ninjas "I'm really sorry" EP, Tullycraft "Disenchanted hearts unite", and Magic Marker compilation "A House full of friends". Will I ever meet a guy who thinks the way the guys who write these songs do? Sigh . . .

My Scooter

So a few people have asked me whether I actually ride a scooter or if I just have it as a blog name. The answer is . . . yes, I do ride a scooter. Although I have liked scooters for years, it is only this year that I brought one. It is a Bolwell Jive 50cc. It goes up to about 70km/hr, which isn't that fast, but it gets me from A to B (mostly home to uni).

So far I've received three of my CDs from the CD swap. Thanks Elizabeth, Kat and Peggy. It's been great to get some exciting mail, and interesting listening to some new music.

Just quickly checked the piddleloop CD Swap site and noticed that a few people had posted their CDs so thought I might do the same...

After seeing everyone else's wonderful creations I feel a little embarrassed about my cover. My only excuse is that I ran out of time to get it all together. I hope the girls who I have sent it to enjoy the selection. It's called "Music to hold hands to . . . " based on the adorable Lucksmiths song and the fact that I'm a hopeless romantic. A few of the bands on the mix are: The Lucksmiths, The Brunettes, The Concretes, The Shines, Sprites, Brittle Stars, Graham Coxon, Papas Fritas, Trembling Blue Stars, Fabienne Delsol . . . Unfortunately those I sent it to are going to have to wait a little longer as it has to come all the way from Australia.

Why are there never enough hours in the day? I'm back into the full time study thing after a few weeks of slackness and crafting, and finding it hard to find the time to keep up with the crafting projects. However here is a little guy I found time to make over the weekend. His name is Fergus. . .
