Hanukkah Dinner with the Ziffers
We had such a great time celebrating Hanukkah with our friends, the Ziffers, and their family and friends! This was our first time experiencing the traditions associated with this important holiday. Christmas Eve at our House

Thanksgiving at our House

Trick or Treat!
Today we had our first "hard core" Halloween with Nadia dressing up as a witch (her choice) and going trick or treating at Briers North Subdivision (sorta like the Disneyland of Halloween). Nadia's cousin, Brianna, dressed up like a ladybug and we went trick or treating with our neighbors, Todd & Corina and their two daughters, Alexandra & Rianne. View our Halloween 2008 Photo Album.

Hawaii Vacation!
Bill and Rico had their first vacation sans Nadia since becoming parents by taking a trip to lovely Oahu, Hawai'i. Thanks to Mom & Dad Curtis for watching our little one. Our friend Julie, who's now living in Alaska, flew down to get away from the cold and join us on the island paradise. While there, we stayed in the lovely Hilton Hawai'ian Village, where Rico attended the American Counseling Association annual conference (Rico's now in a graduate program getting his Master's Degree in Counseling). Hawai'i was spectacular - and we really enjoyed the beaches, the food, the tourist attractions and especially the helicopter ride we took over the whole island. Family Day at Georgia Aquarium
Today we visited the Georgia Aquarium with Grandma & Grandpa Curtis and many from Rico's family. This was one of our monthly special family events and we were so glad that people from both our families could attend. Take a look at our Photos from the Family's Aquarium Visit.

Family Day @ Dr. MLK Jr. National Historic Site
Today we went on the first of many planned family outings in Atlanta, visiting the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site. We had a great time visiting the museum, memorial to Dr. and Mrs. King, visiting the historic firehouse and Birth Home in the Sweet Auburn District of Downtown Atlanta. Christmas 2007
We spent Christmas Eve at St Mark UMC and with family at Rico's brother Ramondo's Home. A great time was had by all! On Christmas Day we stayed home and Nadia entertained us by playing the piano, singing and dancing. She even had her new baby doll play a song for us on the piano! Our Newest Family Member!
Today we brought home a lovely new family member named CeCe. She's our new puppy -- a lovely white dog with brown spots and smoky eyes. She's a randy mix of beagle and Australian shepherd. Nadia is just loving her! See our pictures of Nadia and our new puppy.

Nadia the Ladybug!
Today we went to a Halloween Carnival hosted by our friends at MEGA Family Project, and Nadia had so much fun as a Ladybug! Many of our friends from our extended family were there with their children all decked out in very creative costumes. Nadia is now a big two year-old!
It's so hard to believe that our little "baby" is now a big two year-old, but on October 18th we celebrated her 2nd birthday! Many friends and family members joined us to help us celebrate in what was a fabulous and fun party. We are so fortunate to have a wonderful extended family and support system. Nadia's First Cruise

Beach Vacation @ Tybee Island, Georgia
Recently, we took a family vacation with MEGA Family Project to Tybee Island, near Savannah, Georgia. This was Nadia's first experience at a beach, and she really enjoyed it! Lots of our friends attended this important weekend, where GLBTQ families from all over Georgia converged to share stories, get to know one another and have fun! Father's Day 2007 in Florida

Walt Disney World Vacation!
We enjoyed a lovely 4-day trip to Orlando where we visited Walt Disney World with our cousin Jamena and her two sons, Javon and Justin. Nadia really enjoyed her first trip to Disney, where she saw her first shows (she really loved Donald Duck) and had her first "Character Encounters". There are lots of great shots in our Yahoo! Memorial Day Cookout with Cooking Club Friends
Nadia, Daddy and Papa went to a lovely cookout hosted by our friends Nick & Wendy Frank from Cooking Club. We really had a great time, and Nadia loved playing with all the kids that were there. Easter Celebration 2007

Getting More Teeth!

Helping Warren Celebrate his Birthday!
Nadia and Papa Bill went to help our friend Dru's son, Warren, celebrate his first birthday. It was a wonderful party, with a Curious George/Jungle Theme. Nadia's enjoying her new mobility by walking all over the place and getting into lots of stuff... and lots of trouble!
