Losing Weight

We all know how hard it is to lose weight.... The area of my body that I had the hardest time losing was my belly fat. As a matter of fact, I had to have some plastic surgery to help remove excess skin after my weight loss surgery. Weight loss surgery is a big step and it isn't for everyone.... So how to lose belly fat is a big issue for a lot of people. I would recommend first and foremost to go to your doctor because excess belly fat can be a sign of other issues that may need to be addressed

Vacation

I think with school, kids, and family issues that I need a vacation. ... Sometimes I think that I would like to go to new york..... But are there any new york cheap hotel prices around... I really don't think so.. but I think that it would be nice to visit ground zero... and pay my respects to all of the people who lost their lives there on 9/11. But right now, I just don't have any extra money to go anywhere... I am starting to work on Christmas which is going to be tight this year.

I can tell you all one thing... school for me is tough.....there is so much that I am having to do... I know that everyone has confidence in me but I don't know if I have confidence in me... LOL.....

I know that when it is all said and done that I will be glad that I decided to go back to school but right now I have days when I wonder why I am putting myself thru this....LOLOLOLOLOL... I have to laugh to keep from crying....

Home Details

Building a new home can be overwhelming. There are so many details that have to be ironed out. These details include carpet color, wall color, and tiles, etc... So many that it can make you feel like you are going crazy.... I think that the best way that I can handle this stress will be to take it one step and one decision at a time. That way I don't get to overwhelmed.. We will have to wait and see if I plan will work or not....

Our Future

Once I finish nursing school and start my new career, we are planning on building us a big and nice home.

I have been looking at plans but haven't settled on one yet. I think that the best thing for me to do is just build my own plan.... that is going to be the easiest...

Is your computer safe?

Most of us have wireless computer systems in our home. We use a Linksys router to set up this system. Did you know that you need to set up a password on your router to keep it safe? No?
Well, you do. If you don't have a password on your system then anyone can pull up near your home and get onto the internet via your wireless system. And if that person has not such good motives they maybe can hack into your computer and get access to some of your personal information. Now, we all know that that can lead to a lot of trouble for you....

Yard Sales

On Saturdays, there are a lot of yard sales around... that is fun too... a lot of time you can find better deals at a yard sale than you can at a regular store sale...

The only thing about yard sales is that you can't take something back if it doesn't work or doesn't fit....

Shopping Saturday

Saturday is Shopping Day... YEPEE!

I love to go shopping. I love the sales... it is the time of the year to start looking for Christmas Items.. sometimes you can really get some deals this time of the year.

The only part of this shopping is when I find something good that I think is on sale and then when I check out the price at a barcode scanner; it isn't on sale... Now that is frustrating......

But overall it is fun!!!

What Are We Doing in Later Life?

Later life is a long time away to me because I am only 38yrs old. I don't know but I think that it is time for my husband and I to start thinking about what we want to do in retirement.

Personally, I think I would like to travel from campground to crampground around the world just my husband and I. I think that would be the best retirement for me.

My Husband's Job

My husband works for a company that makes parts for industrial machinery. He has tried to explain it to be before I just don't quiet understand. But basically makes industrial equipment supplies for their machinery. They actually specialized in valves.

He actually works in the warehouse deptartment where they are actually shipping out the orders to their customers..

It sounds like a fun job but it is also a fast-past job with some heavy lifting. The main thing is that my husband likes it.

I just wanted to take a moment to tell you all about my husband. I am the most blessed woman in the world. I couldn't ask for a better man in my life. He helps me take care of the kids and the house. Shucks, he even cooks and does clothes...... Wow, uh? I know that I am blessed and I thank God everyday for sending such a wonderful man to me.

I don't think a mobile home is in my future because I have lived in one before and I don't care to again. I guess a mobile home would be fine if you didn't have young children. Young children can reall run havoc on a mobile home.

I am not sure if a module home is what I want. I think I want a "stick built home"....LOL

I think that in the long run that would be the best use of our hard earned dollars.\]

Price of Homes

I have been noticing that the price of modular and mobile homes has really came down lately. I guess with the economy being as poor as it is that these dealers are getting desperate. I have seen some 3 and 4 bedroom mobile home as low as 40,000.. ... Now that is a deal! I have been in to price modulars lately but I am sure that they are down too.

If you are looking to buy a home then now would be a good time to do so.

Weekend Trip

We got up Saturday morning, and decided to go to the beach. It was fun and excited. Our intention was to take the kids to the beach for awhile and then go back home. After about two hours on the beach we decided to stay overnight. We were not prepared to stay overnight but we had a good time.

I think we are going to have more trips like that one. It was fun and exciting!

Appearance is Everything

Another issue that I have noticed in the college students is their obsession with appearance. Some of the girls come dressed so provokative and that bothers me personally. If it were my teenage girl, we would have more discussions about how she went to college dressed. But another area that seems to bother the college students, but not me, is a blackhead, acne.

I overhear so many conversations about their face and how much they are bothered by a bump or two. I think that is funny now but when I was their age, it bothered me too.

Students at School

I have really been enjoying making such good friends at college. The only thing that I have a probably with is that they have too much of a laid back attitude. I had that kind of attitude when I went to college right out of school but now things are a lot different for me. I see my education as an investment and I want to get the most out of my school experience. I don't see the need to take wasteful class like some of the younger students do. I enjoy being about to take some time and give them little tidbits of older student wisdom. I don't know if they like it or not... LOL

The Need For a Flash Drive

I have been learning about how convienant these little devices can be. It is so easy to download a file onto the usb drive and then print it out from any computer. These has been really helping me with college.

Another use for USB drives is Corporate usb drive. Corporate companies can buy these usb drives in order to advertise their business. I think that is amazing to me but companies will advertise just about anywhere. I think this sign of the times.

Getting Prepared

I don't have any parents right now that are in need of a tub like the one in the last post. My dad is only 61 yrs old... and my mom has passed away. I hope it is going to be a long time before we need that kind of equipment for him but I guess it is a possibility. That will keep him at home and independant longer.

Right now, though, my biggest focus if finishing my nursing degree.

Safety for Elders

As a child of parents who are getting older, I am constantly worried about what it is going to be like in the future. Our parents need to keep their freedom and independently as long as possible. So how do we balance our fears versus their safety.

A new product has come out that will help us make that balance between safety and independence. That is new walk in tubs. These tubs are amazing. Our parents can walk inside and then they can sit down if they need to because of a built in seat.

I think that is a great idea. It will keep us and our parents happy.

Veggies from My Garden

This year my garden didn't do as well as last year. I think part of my problem was that I didn't put down some weed and grass killer before I planted and I didn't put down my normal dose of Miracle Grow Top Soil. Don't get me wrong I did get some veggies this year but not as much as I expected.

I learn something new each year I garden. I enjoy working with my hands.

Diet Pills and Gastric Bypass Surgery

I am not sure that I will choose to use any diet pills in order to lose my last 20lbs or not. The first thing I will need to do is to ask my doctor. But I will also do my research to see which diet pill on the market is the best.

I like finding out from customers of these products which ones works the best for them.

What I Want for Christmas?

Since my gastric bypass surgery, I have lost 220lbs... I would like to lose about 20 more lbs.... I know that a lot of people tell me that I don't need to lose anymore but personally I feel the need to.

I am in nursing school and I want to look my best and be my best to take care of my patients.

A Ferrari

I imagine that I will never get a Ferrari. Don't get me wrong they are very nice cars for very rich people. I really don't want to be rich. I just want enough money to supply for the family and have fun.

Not only are ferraris expensive to buy they are even more expensive to fix. Ferrari parts are expensive and sometimes hard to find.

I really don't think I will ever own a ferrari.
