So what's the catch you ask? This weeks challenge is to create a project using Tags <em>and</em> ISC images only....more details below.... <div></div><div><br /></div><div>Here's what I created</div><div> <br /></div><div>I started off with a tag doing the Color Collage Technique (<a href="http://www.patstamps.com/">TJNL</a>). To make the tag pop - I added some Brushed Corduroy and Black Soot Distress Inks to the edges. I cut my tag in thirds to give it a bit of dimension, layered on a black piece of card stock. My designer paper is from Heidi Swapp - again I added some aging to the paper - I sponged Old paper ink onto the white areas, then Brushed Corduroy and Black Soot to the edges. This is layered on a piece of So Saffron (that has also been aged) and then my black card base.</div><div> <br /></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Now on to those details on how YOU can win a FREE sheet from ISC....</div><div> </div><div>To qualify for the FREE stamp sheet, you must use ISC images only and at least one tag in your creation. Upload your work to your blog or online gallery using the keyword ISCC1, then post a link to your project on the <a href="http://innovativestampcreations.blogspot.com/2008/05/isc-challenge-iscc1-tag-art.html">ISC Blog</a>. A random name from the entries received will be chosen to win a <strong><em>FREE ISC Stamp Sheet</em></strong> of your choice! This challenge ends on May 25th. Good Luck!</div><div> <br /></div><div><span style="font-size:85%;">Details:</span></div><div><span style="font-size:85%;">Stamps - Innovative Stamp Creations </span><a href="http://www.innovativestampcreations.com/catalog/item/1516071/5537892.htm"><span style="font-size:85%;">All About Me</span></a><span style="font-size:85%;"> , </span><a href="http://www.innovativestampcreations.com/catalog/item/1516071/5829664.htm"><span style="font-size:85%;">Art 4 Frames II </span></a><span style="font-size:85%;">, </span><a href="http://www.innovativestampcreations.com/catalog/item/1516071/5371143.htm"><span style="font-size:85%;">Friendship</span></a></div><div><span style="font-size:85%;">Ink - Distress Inks Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seet, Black Soot, Old Paper, Brushed Corduroy, Aged Mahogany, Warn Lipstick, Broken China</span></div><div><span style="font-size:85%;">Card Stock - Black, So Saffron, Heidi Swapp</span></div><div><span style="font-size:85%;">Other - Cut N Dry Pads, Black Ribbon, Taffeta Ribbon<br /></span><br /></div><div></div><div><br /><br /></div><div></div>Lisa Somervillehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09517399998676960396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365083349214096360.post-69715405613685489362008-05-15T00:42:00.002-05:002008-05-15T00:42:01.098-05:00Sketch Challenge<a href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SCuxvle3gLI/AAAAAAAAC6Q/0x36QOTrvLQ/s1600-h/sc176mdbloominbeautifullisas.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5200445625802916018" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SCuxvle3gLI/AAAAAAAAC6Q/0x36QOTrvLQ/s320/sc176mdbloominbeautifullisas.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Here's a card I created for this weeks <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=94670&amp;d=1210733471">SCS Sketch Challenge</a>. These money holders are easy to create and personalize.<br /><br /><a href="http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dcbfbsrv_83d5nx5sqt">See Template</a><br /><br />I used the above template I created to make this simple money holder. The "Class of 2008" was easy to create, using my <a href="http://www.justritestampers.com/category.aspx?categoryID=81">Just Rite Stamp DIY Monogram Stampers </a>- these are great for personalizing your projects as well.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Here's a view of the inside - On the top of the insert (6-1/8" x 2-7/8") - I've attached a 1-1/4" circle folded in half - I stamped my sentiment from Great Grads in black, punched it out with my word window punch, added a piece of red grosgrain, and stapled these items as shown. Be careful not to staple too far down - as this is what will hold your money at the top. At the bottom, I used my Slit Punch to create an opening that will keep my money in place when inserting it into the holder.<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SCW-aXyg53I/AAAAAAAAC4U/bkQHxKoVxKs/s1600-h/gradmoney.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5198770705140868978" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SCW-aXyg53I/AAAAAAAAC4U/bkQHxKoVxKs/s320/gradmoney.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="font-size:85%;color:#666666;">Details:</span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;color:#666666;">Stamps - Great Grads, Just Rite Stampers</span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;color:#666666;">Card Stock - Red, White, Ballet Blue</span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;color:#666666;">Ink - Black</span><br /><span style="font-size:85%;color:#666666;">Other - Slit punch, Scallop Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Red Grosgrain, Western Sky DSP</span><br /><br /><br /><br /><p></p><br /><br /><br /><p></p><br /><br />Here's the Just Rite items I used<br /><br /><a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SCW8rHyg52I/AAAAAAAAC4M/8z1VZ7qIa1A/s1600-h/gradcardstamps.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5198768793880422242" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SCW8rHyg52I/AAAAAAAAC4M/8z1VZ7qIa1A/s320/gradcardstamps.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://www.justritestampers.com/ProductDetail.aspx?productid=JB-07276"><span style="font-size:78%;">Medium &amp; Large Numbers Set for Round Monogram Stamper</span></a><span style="font-size:78%;"> </span><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:78%;"><a href="http://www.justritestampers.com/ProductDetail.aspx?productid=JB-07275">Small Letter Set for Round Monogram Stamper</a> </span><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:78%;"></span><br /><span style="font-size:78%;"><a href="http://www.justritestampers.com/ProductDetail.aspx?productid=JB-07277">Round Monogram Stamper (Do-It-Yourself Monogram Kit) with Storage Box</a><br /><br /></span><span style="font-size:78%;"></span><span style="font-size:78%;"></span>Lisa Somervillehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09517399998676960396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365083349214096360.post-3983318641608019862008-05-09T07:23:00.007-05:002008-05-09T08:01:52.352-05:00Bloggers Challenge - Mother's Day<div><a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SCRCuXyg5zI/AAAAAAAAC30/S7VYlw1_QQA/s1600-h/BC46fllclisas.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5198353234319697714" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SCRCuXyg5zI/AAAAAAAAC30/S7VYlw1_QQA/s320/BC46fllclisas.jpg" border="0" /></a>Bloggers Challenge #46 brings you loads of ideas for last minute creating of your Mother's Day cards. </div><div><br />Both of my cards use the Watercolor Distress Technique from a past issue of the <a href="http://www.patstamps.com/">TJNL</a>. This weeks challenge theme is Graduation - I'll be needing plenty of ideas - as my oldest will be graduating in a few weeks. I decided to use the <strong><em>Double Pocket Fold</em> </strong>from a past <a href="http://www.patstamps.com/">TJNL</a> - altering mine a bit. When this technique was first posted back in 10/07 - I had used a piece of 6" x 6" paper, and made my flap fold to the front so it opened like a card. That size was too small to hold a gift card - so for my challenge card, I used a piece of paper 9" x 9" - this helped to accommodate the sentiment from <strong><em>Great Grads</em></strong> that I'm using.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SBsIiS43P3I/AAAAAAAAC0w/VmH9wTDEhrU/s1600-h/BC45open.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5195755980380913522" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SBsIiS43P3I/AAAAAAAAC0w/VmH9wTDEhrU/s320/BC45open.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><em><span style="font-size:85%;">Details:</span></em><br /><em><span style="font-size:85%;">Stamps - Great Grads</span></em><br /><em><span style="font-size:85%;">Ink - Blue Bayou</span></em><br /><em><span style="font-size:85%;">Card Stock - River Rock, Western Sky DSP</span></em><br /><em><span style="font-size:85%;">Ribbon - Double Stitched Blue Bayou<br /></span></em><br /><br />If you'd like to play along - just leave a link to your graduation card on this post, or if you upload to SCS, use keyword BC45.<br /><br />Have a great weekend - don't forget to check out Allie's Blog Candy at <a href="http://www.lisasomerville.com/2008/05/croppinsville-usa-blog-candy.html">Croppinsville</a>!Lisa Somervillehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09517399998676960396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365083349214096360.post-31252381052681655912008-05-01T18:23:00.002-05:002008-05-01T18:43:46.527-05:00Croppinsville USA Blog Candy<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Croppinsville</span> has some great Blog Candy to giveaway....Allie's got a GREEN set of GOODIES to ship out to you in a RECYCLED box, all of you have to do is list the ways you'll try to go GREEN in the future. Another great sketch, and yes, I've rotated my sketch again to work with this new image from the <a href="http://www.artisticoutpost.com/catalog/i46.html">Playtime</a> Sheet at <a href="http://www.artisticoutpost.com/">Artistic Outpost</a>. The image on this sheet is actually fellow DT member <a href="http://www.iwork4stamps2.blogspot.com/">Gerrie Johnnic's </a>DH when he was a boy - isn't that cool!<br /><br /><br />I used the Watercolor Distress Technique from a past <a href="http://www.patstamps.com/">TJNL</a> issue. I wanted a soft look for the image so I used <a href="http://www.artisticoutpost.com/catalog/i17.html">distress inks </a>in Scattered Straw and Distressed Rose. The main image is stamped in <a href="http://www.artisticoutpost.com/catalog/i21.html">Ranger Archival Black</a>. I punched a hole in the top and bottom and added black grosgrain tied in a bow - to follow the sketch layout. Be sure to check out the new plates <a href="http://www.artisticoutpost.com/catalog/i46.html">Adventure </a>and <a href="http://www.artisticoutpost.com/catalog/i46.html">Playtime</a> at Artistic Outpost - <strong><span style="color:#009900;">on sale</span></strong> for a limited time!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SBVUUy43PlI/AAAAAAAACyI/wiOqQNs2yxk/s1600-h/tssc15flowers.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194150461476126290" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SBVUUy43PlI/AAAAAAAACyI/wiOqQNs2yxk/s320/tssc15flowers.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br />For my 2nd card - I kept my layout rotated. I masked my frame from Artistic Outpost's Playtime sheet, stamping it in black. On this one I cut off the bows on the frame. I used <a href="http://www.flourishes.org/servlet/Detail?no=551">eclipse tape </a>across the bottom and side of my frame so I could stamp my flowers from <strong><em>Bloomin' Beautiful</em></strong>. I colored my flower with Groovy Guava, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip. I restamped and colored a small portion of the flower images, and placed them on my main image with dimensionals to give it some depth. (Paper Tole Technique). I added a bit of Chocolate Chip around the frame. My image is layered on <a href="http://www.flourishes.org/servlet/Detail?no=587">Basic Grey's Boxer designer paper</a>, then Groovy Guava card stock.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Here's MJ's original Sketch - if you'd like to play along....<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SBTZ5i43PkI/AAAAAAAACyA/SBJXyD9fC2k/s1600-h/TSSC15.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5194015852906102338" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" height="187" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SBTZ5i43PkI/AAAAAAAACyA/SBJXyD9fC2k/s320/TSSC15.jpg" width="249" border="0" /></a>Lisa Somervillehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09517399998676960396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1365083349214096360.post-77826035016855049482008-04-26T09:37:00.008-05:002008-04-28T11:47:03.599-05:00Sneak Peek Artistic Outpost New Releases<a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SBNNTS43PiI/AAAAAAAACxw/jd6nuvn6qMY/s1600-h/AOPeeks.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5193579789171506722" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_GHuUEvL_CBw/SBNNTS43PiI/AAAAAAAACxw/jd6nuvn6qMY/s320/AOPeeks.jpg" border="0" /></a><a href="http://www.artisticoutpost.com/">Artistic Outpost</a> will be releasing two new plates next week - <a href="http://www.artisticoutpost.com/catalog/i46.html">Playtime</a> and <a href="http://www.artisticoutpost.com/catalog/i45.html">Adventure</a>....Here's a peek at some of the cards I created.
