This coming Sunday afternoon, June 22, 2008 the Noyes Museum of Art in Oceanville, New Jersey will be presenting two of the prestigious FinishingLinePress'featured poets.

Shawn R. Jones creator of the new chapbook Womb Rain and Rachel Bunting author of Ripe Again will be reading from their respective works. They will also be signing their books.

FinishingLinePress, an award winning small press publisher has been providing a place to showcase poets for nearly ten years, is currently conducting an open poetry competition. Happy Father's Day 2008:The Centennial Celebration

In the United States our modern day celebration of Fathers, the other half of responsible parenting, has it origins in the minds of two ladies who are said to be largely responsible for the commemoration. Both Grace Golden Clayton and Sonora Smart Dodd came up with the idea to honor fathers.

Ms Clayton's innovation came as a suggestion to the pastor of a church in West Viginia following a mine disaster, a major explosion in December 1907, in which more than three hundred men perished. Many of those who died were fathers and immigrants.

It is said that Mrs. Dodd was inspired to organize a holiday to honor fathers by the devotion displayed by her father, William Jackson Smart, a veteran of the War Between the States, who as a single parent raised six children in Spokane, Washington.

Both women were encouraged in their efforts to celebrate fathers by Anna Jarvis's work to establish Mother's Day, a project Jarvis' mother, Ann,had worked on before her death in 1905.

And so the first modern Father's Day celebration was held on July 5, 1908, in Fairmont, West Virginia. The first June Fathers' Day was held in June 19, 1910 in Spokane, Washington at a Young Mens' Christian Association, YMCA.

In the United States our presidents immedately promoted the holiday with unofficial support. President Coolidge in 1924 suggested it be a national holiday. By the latter part of the twentieth century President Lyndon Baines Johnson proclaimed Father's Day a holiday to be celebrated on the third Sunday of June. In 1972 President Richard Nixon gave the holiday its official desination.

After 00 years of families giving Dad his due, retailers can expect to cash in on nearly 11 billion dollars in retail sales of gifts for fathers.

R. Kelly Found Not Guilty In Child Porn Trial

After six gruelling years of public speculation with prosecutors relentlessly trying to win their case against him, R&B star R. Kelly has been found not guilty of all charges of having had sex with an underage female.

The jury in the sensational child pornography trial began deliberation on Thursday and on Friday, June 13, 2008 delivered its verdict.

It seems the testimony given by the alleged female child, who is now a twenty-three year-old adult, was truthful. She was not the female in the video. Just as Ar-rah was not the man seen in the thirty minute video. Kelly has a mole on his back. The man in the raunchy sex video does not.

Additionally Judge Vincent Gaughan did not allow mention of the past four known settlements Kelly has paid to underage girls who've accused him of inappropriate sexual conduct. Without this information there is little room for doubt of Kelly's innocense. Like WMDs you can not find what is not there.

Some who were eyewitness to the court proceedings say, "The only chance the prosecution had was that Kelly would slip up and re-enact the crime within viewing distance of the jury box." Basically an open and shut case.

We suggest Kelly's next musical release be titled, "Trapped... in The Legal System".

Bo Diddley Rock Music Innovator Dead, Age 79

Bo Diddley the musician who along with several other musicians popular during the 1950s ehlped to establish rock'n'roll as a new music genre
is dead at age 79. Diddley had been ill since last August when he suffered a heart attack just months after having a stroke while on tour. He died at his home in Archer, Florida, a town near Gainesville.

Diddley had become an inspiration to a generation of musicians among them Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Presley both of whom it is said copied moves from Diddley.

Born Otha Ellas Bates in McComb, Mississippi, he was raised by his mother’s first cousin, Gussie McDaniel. After the death of her husband Ms McDaniel moved with her three children and the future Bo Diddley to Chicago where young Otha’s name was changed to Ellas B. McDaniel.

In Chicago he began classical violin lessons and studied for eight years. He started the guitar at age twelve.

From those humble beginnings grew a man of great musical influence. Diddley was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. In 1998 he was inducted into the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame as a musician of lasting historical importance.

After his association with Chess Records ended in 1974 his career never picked up. He would appear in films like "Trading Places" starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Ackroyd or at American presidential inaugural celebrations for the incumbent George Bush or Senator Clinton's husband Bill.

He was even seen in this commercial for NIKE in the 1990s.
He is survived by his children Evelyn Kelly, Ellas A. McDaniel, Tammi D. McDaniel and Terri Lynn McDaniel; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Shawn R. Jones Poetry Book Signing and Reading Noyes Museum Of Art

New Jersey poets Rachel Bunting and Shawn R. Jones will be giving a reading of their respective works and signing their respective creations at the Noyes Museum in Oceanville, New Jersey on Sunday afternoon, June 22, 2008 from 1:30 until 3:00.

Rachel will be presenting selections from her work Ripe Again and Shawn will be reading excerpts from her new chapbook Womb Rain. Both artists are featured poets at FinishingLinePress of Georgetown, Kentucky.

If you are familiar with the works of either or both poets you'll want to be there for an opportunity to meet them, and hear them read their verse, in this perfect venue. The Noyes is in a beautiful natural setting adjacent to a national wildlife refuge.

Rachel Bunting and Shawn R. Jones are both from New Jersey. Rachel is presently residing near the Pine Barrens and the Delaware River. Rachel's works have appeared in such publications as Boxcar Poetry Review, Wicked Alice, US1 Worksheets and the Journal of NJ Poets.

Shawn R. Jones is an alumna of Atlantic City High School and a graduate of Rutgers University-Camden....and that's not all. Shawn owns a tutoring business and she's teaches jazz at Halliday Dance in Pennsauken, New Jersey, in addition to competently and joyfully fulfilling her role as wife and mother of two children. Shawn's poem "Black Pearl" was published in the April 2007 issue of Essence--the magazine for today's black woman.

Lance Briggs, R. Kelly Male Celebrities Gone Wild!

Clark Dark here, your Infotainment reporter to introduce my momma, Blanche Africa Reilly Dark. Mom has a few words to say about two very popular celebrities...Mom...

Thank you, Clark baby. You make your mother so proud. I'm glad I am not the mother of either Lance Briggs or Robert Kelly.

Firstly I want to say I admire these men for their talent inside of their profession. I think Lance Briggs is worth every dollar of the 7.5 million he's being paid to play professional football in Chicago. He's an outstanding athlete.

And R. Kelly I believe is the best R&B composer around. He's even re-invigorated a musical style that was long forgotten, opera. R. Kelly is responsible for the resurgence of opera albeit in an R&B modern style.

But the personal lives of these men is disgraceful! And yes I believe I am qualified to comment on their personal lives since the sordid details of the lives of both men have been over-publicized.To my chagrin it is Too Much Information.

I do not wish to know about Briggs' roguish escapdes, not the least of which involves 3 females pregnant at the same time; nor do I care to hear any further information about R. Kelly's penchant, perverted penchant, yes I said it, for young, underage in particular, females.

A word about parents of the young women in these reports: There are many young people who do not care, nor are they tryin' to hear what their parents are tellin' them. For anyone who does not have children the following fact may come as news to you. Young people are imbued by The Creator with free will and they exercise it whenever possible. Frequently this first manifests during the time their hormones begin to run up and down the outside of their bodies. Many of today's young adults are dismissive of the advice provided by the very people who care for them the most. Good parents, rich or poor, are concerned and have their children's best interests at heart. This does not mean the children are responsive and heed the advice expressed.

There is also the scheming nature of some young females. Briggs 7.5 million dollars or R. Kelly's fame are APDs-Automatic Panty Droppers, in some circles of young women who believe they, themselves, have no self worth. The fantasy of Briggs or Kelly sharing their material wealth with them in exchange for sexual favors is just that...FANTASY! Why else are we hearing of court trials and lawyers and all manner of litigation for these women to get the justice they feel they deserve?

I'm just glad neither Lance nor Robert is my son.

Clark Dark here, your entertainment reporter, with another edition of my Celebrity Round-Up.

First up... the world of entertainment is all abuzz with reports of the nuptials of singer, cum actress, Mariah Carey and actor Nick Cannon. Everything seems to indicate they married earlier this week at Cannon's home in the Bahamas. If this is true and not a publicity stunt as suspected by some reporters, it will be the first marriage for Cannon who is age 27, and the second for Carey who is age 38. Suspicion of a stunt to garner publicity is well grounded in that Cannon has given engagement rings to several others including the big proposal to Victoria Secret Model Selita Ebanks on the Jimbotron at New York's Times Square last year. The couple parted after a few months.

Dennis Rodman, the former bad boy of the NBA has been arrested and charged with domestic abuse. Rodman who played on championship teams in the NBA, played for a brief time for the Los Angeles Lakers and was a two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, was booked on suspicion of domestic violence. It is reported Rodman is not coping well with the aftermath of a recent divorce.

On Tuesday in an upcoming episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show, veteran television broadcaster, producer and reporter Barbara Walters reveals she carried on a secret affair for several years with the former moderate Republican senator of Massachusetts, Edward Brooke. Walters say she was involved in the adulterous affair during the time Brooke was in the senate and married to his first wife. Brooke has since remarried, lives in Florida and has been unavailable for comment on this blackbuster revelation. Barbara was involved in an inter-racial realtionship?? Another thing that makes you say, "Hmmmmmm!"

Sad news for the parents of Bobbi Kristina Brown. According to tabloid reports the
15 year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston has allegedly tried to commit suicide by slashing her wrists. If that news were not bad enough, her mother's recent concert in Tobago has been reveiwed by concert goers as "flat and listless". Many who attended said Houston's voice even cracked during the 30 minute set.

Finally Ameriican Express, the don't leave home without it credit card company, has new television commercials featuring stand-up comedienne Ellen Degeners with a cameo by the newlywed Mrs. Shawn Carter, Beyonce Knowles. The new campaign promotes access to entertainment events when one is a "Card Member". American Express Vice President of Advertising says: "We are thrilled to be working again with Ellen, the quintessential entertainer, who has been a part of the American Express family for years. Both she and Beyoncé truly know what it means to engage and delight audiences."

April 2008 is turning out to be a very romantic month for several celebrities. For exampleBeyonce Knowles and her amorata, Jay-Z, Shawn Carter, are believed to have been married earlier this month.

Also in April at the posh Florida estate of her famous former husband, Ivana threw a huge society celebration of her fourth walk down the aisle. The ex-Mrs Donald Trump was The Donald's first wife; he was her second husband. Now Ivana has taken the marriage vows again for the fourth time. And her groom is an Italian actor, model, producer, writer-whatever,Rosanno Rubicondi, who is twenty-four years her junior. Ivana sounds like one of the Gabor women, though she is from Czechoslovachia. She has much in common with Zsa-zsa. Both have been married to hotel moguls. Zsa-zsa was married to Baron Hilton, and Ivana was the wife of The Donald, who has hotel properties around the world, too. Both women come from behind the Iron Curtain. Ivana may be the new 21st Century version of Zsa-zsa Gabor with serial marriages to her claim, even more so than the several times married and hooked up Jennifer Lopez.

On the not-so-romantic side, during this month it was announced tv personality Star Jones-Reynolds has filed for divorce from her husband Al.It appears this dissolution of marriage will be private rather than part two of the media circus that surrounded their marriage celebration nearly four years ago in November 2004.

Another couple married in a super-de-duper fairytale wedding ceremony is headed for divorce court. Juanita Bynum, evangelist, author, singer and poster-child for spousal abuse will be providing televised testimony in hopes of securing a divorce from her husband minister Thomas W. Weeks III. Bynum will be appearing on episodes of the television program of the same name on Thursday, April 24 and Friday, April 25,2008. No word on whether or not Weeks will be on the show, too. He's on probation for assaulting her last year.

And finally an announcement with the potential for a happy ending: Jessica Simpson's little sister, Ashlee Simpson, has agreed to marry musician Peter Wentz of the Fall Out Boy's band. Their engagement was announced earlier this month. We wish them success.

It seems Mr. Knowles daughter is now Mr. Carter's wife. Talk about a high profile marriage. Rumors abound all over Manhattan and the rest of New York when it was reported Shawn Carter and Beyonce Knowles had applied for a marriage license last week in Scarsdale. The document is good for 60 days to take marriage vows. Last month Bey was seen wearing a diamond band more fuel for the rumor mills and finally friends of the couple confirmed a May wedding was definitely in the future. Friday caterers, outdoor tent and decorating suppliers were seen arriving at Jay-Z's Manhattan penthouse. Later close family , friends and celebrity guests arrived at Carter's TriBeCa apartment reportedly after the private ceremony. Knowles, a native of Houston, Texas has been dating Cater for six years, they met during the recording of her videos "Crazy In Love" and Deja Vue". She gained fame in her own right with the former girl group "Destiny's Child". Carter is a street hustler-turned-rapper now record executive who is negotiating a contract for $150 million when accepted will be the biggest musci contract ever. Clark...

The family of the late Sean Levert has requested the Federal Bureau of Investigation to begin investigating the death of their family member in an Ohio county jail facility one week ago today. Family members suspect there was foul play in the death of the late R&B singer who was incarcerated for criminal non support for his children.

One of Hollywood's iconic actors has died. Charlton Heston is dead at 84. The man who gave face to the biblical Moses, historical Roman times as Juddah Ben-Hur and most recently the face of the National Rifle Association, announced six years ago he exhibited symptoms consistent with Alzheimer's disease. Sean Levert, R&B Performer, Dead Age 39

The son of famed R&B lead singer of the popular group The O'Jays, and younger brother of the late Gerald Levert has died.

No funeral arrangements have been announced by the family.

Details from the Ohio Cuyahoga County Sheriff Department are sketchy. In an announcement today the sheriff's department said in part "Mr. Levert was remanded to our custody on Monday, March 24, after being sentenced to the state prison system by Cuyahoga County Judge Nancy M. Russo for criminal non-support. He was sentenced to two, consecutive 11-month sentences and was to be turned over to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction as early as Tuesday, April 1."

Levert was in custody after sentencing procedures for six counts of criminal non-payment of child support allegedly amounting to $80,000 for children ages 11, 15 and 17.

Sean Levert, like his late brother suffered from high blood pressure.

After five days in the county jail's general population Levert began to display some unusual behavior according to the sheriff's department. He was then put under observation.

On Sunday evening, March 30, 2008, Levert was placed in restraints without resistance. Approximately 20 minutes later he was found in distress jail officials said.

The coroner says Levert died at Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland late Sunday, less than an hour after being taken there from the jail.

The cause of death is undetermined at this time. An autopsy is expected to be performed today. Toxicology tests are being done, as well, but those results are usually not expected back for 4 to 6 weeks. This information provided today by the Cuyahoga County Coroner's spokesman.

The Cuyahoga County Sheriff Department's Detective Bureau and the Coroner's Office
are reportedly investigating this matter.

MTV has announced it has purchased for broadcast 10 episodes of Hilton's new reality show "My New BFF", a reality competition series which will follow the former "star" of The Simple Life on her quest to find a new best friend. As you may recall she and fellow celebutante and co-star of "The Simple Life", Nicole Richie are not as close as they once were.

"It's undeniable that the world is always talking about Paris Hilton, and the same could be said about MTV. Paris is one of the most searched icons on the Web... Now MTV will reveal the life of Paris, turn her fans into friends, and see what it takes to get close to one of the world's most well-known personalities."Starting this week, fans will be permitted to determine which of the promising BFFs will appear on the show through a website designed expressly for that purpose. The possible BFFs will post their bios with blogs, pictures, and videos explaining why they should be chosen to appear on the show. Hilton fans will determine if they agree. Paris Hilton's "My New BFF" is produced by MTV and Ish Entertainment and co-created and executive produced by Hilton, with co- creator credits to Michael Hirschorn and Stella Stolper who are also serving as executive producers along with Chris Choun and Jason Moore.

Reports abound that Britney Spears and Mel Gibson shared dinner on Saturday evening in California. Gibson, who recently completed the probation order stemming from his 2006 arrest for driving under the influence, is said to be a vocal supporter of Spears in her ongoing and well-publicized battles. Gibson is known as an actor, director and producer.

Beyonce Knowles, Grammy Award winning R&B recording star, and Academy Award winner actor,Adrien Brody are working together on a new film "Cadillac Records" in New Jersey. This film also features one my favorites, actor/comedian Cedric The Entertainer. This cinematic endeavor is written and directed by Darnell Martin.

The film tells the story of the rise and fall of Chess Records a major R&B record label with Beyonce in the role of legendary blues singer Etta James and Brody portraying renown record producer Len Chess. Release date sometime in the future.

Last Thursday night,star of stage, screen and recordings Vanessa Williams, and some other members of the cast of "Ugly Betty" including Mark Indelicato, and Becki Newton, attended a reunion at the Beverly Hills Bebe store where cast member Rebecca Romijn’s new ad campaign was unveiled. "Ugly Betty" returns to television on Monday

Now finally to add some high culture and literary class to this report, Finishing Line Press' newest featured author in the prestigious New Women's Voices series, Shawn R. Jones took sometime off for a weekend get away in the Pennsylvania mountains with her husband businessman Jeff Jones. The couple managed to enjoy the weekend despite a succession of mishaps plaguing their weekend retreat. All is well as Jones plans for the May 9, 2008 release of her new chapbook, "Womb Rain". Brett Favre Green Bay QB Retires From NFL: Doesn't Want To Play Anymore

Last week you heard it over and over again famed NFLGreen Bay Quaterback Brett Favre retired after nearly 18 years in the professional football league.

Favre's fans, along with the entire world, saw him as he tearfully announced his retirement. It's a long way from those days back home in 'ssippi playing football and baseball and getting high school letters in both sports.

Brett Favre's had a good run. The 38 year old athlete was chosen Associated Press' Most Valuable Player three-times in 1995, 1996 and 1997. He's the only player in NFL history to have the honor.

Favre has led the Packers to two Super Bowls: a victory against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI and a loss to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII. His records include: most career NFL touchdown passes (442), most career NFL passing yards (61,655), most career pass completions (5,377), most career pass attempts (8,758), most career NFL interceptions thrown (288), most consecutive starts among NFL quarterbacks (253; 275 total starts including playoffs), and most career victories as a starting quarterback (160).

After 17 years it's no wonder the man says he doesn't want to play anymore. He can retire with a record that we would call not too shabby. To us this is like the Roberto Duran moment when during a fight he said, "No mas, no mas".

Whoopi Goldberg Forgives Gil Cates

After making the colossal gaffe of omitting Academy Award winning actor Whoopi Goldberg from its celebratory montage of great moments over the 80 years of the Oscar ceremony producer of the program Gil Cates called the talented star to personally apologize for the major mistake.

According to Goldberg, "Gil Cates called me yesterday. He made an oversight, pure and simple."

Whoopi, who is a fabulously multi-talented actress, who is also a skilled comedienne, comic actor, raconteur, radio host, television personality, game show host and producer, one of several co-hosts of the popular and sometimes controversial ABC daytime program The View; and a simply a wonderful all 'round entertainer, graciously accepted.

Goldberg, the former Caryn Elaine Johnson, is counted among an elite group of celebrities. She is one of only ten persons in the world to have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony award apart from two Golden Globes and two Saturn Awards.

Beyonce, if reports are to be believed "pigged out" on Valentine's Day consuming massive quantities of choclates, carbs and other sweets, while the world continues to discuss thenon-controversy that surfaced during the wards ceremony. We will not rehash the details here.

Reports from everywhere say Paul McCartney and model Heather Mills have worked out a deal for $110 million dollars. The agreement which has to be approved by the British high court begins with a lump sum payment to Mills of $20 million with annual payments of $2.7 million for both her daughter by Sir Paul, Beatrice, and Mills .

Aretha Franklin Tina Turner Beyonce Knowles Non-Controversy Henry G. Speaks

Henry Gandolph here. I have something to say in reference to the non-controversy coming out of the last Grammy Awards celebration.It has been widely reported and commented on by Lotty Dotty and everybody how Aretha "The Queen Of Soul" was dissed when Matthew Knowles'daughter and Shawn Carter's (Jay-Z's) inamorata introduced Tina Turner as "the queen" during a segment of the program last weekend.

Clearly, even Stevie Wonder can see, this is a publicity stunt to get everybody talking about two older female pop music divas and one contemporary pop music divette. It's working.

There are those who say Aretha "THE QUEEN OF SOUL" Franklin's reaction to the introduction by Beyonce of Tina Turner call her "the queen" at the show is proof positive Franklin believes she has ownership of the description "THE QUEEN", as they heard it delivered by Knowles.

I say if Amazon.com. GOOGLE and countless other business entities can be serious about laying patents, copywrite and trademark claims on things that until the latter part of the last century were not able to be claimed then Queen Ree-Ree should be able to stake her claim on the terms "THE QUEEN", and "THE QUEEN OF SOUL". These terms would become interchangeable with her name.

A member of our staff suggested we might retire titles, as numbers are retired in various sports. This same staffer suggests Tina Turner accept the title "THE QUEEN OF SOLE", which might lead her into a new career as a fishwife or fishmonger.

If Aretha successfully applied for private limited use of the terms we may be forced to change some phrases commonly used in our language such as:

I was pampered at the spa. They treated me like ARETHA for a day.
Let's take the children down to the Dairy ARETHA for some ice cream.
My husband and I really enjoy our new ARETHA size canopy bed.
Our parents were fortunate to book passage on the ARETHA Elizabeth II oceanliner for their anniversary.
My husband and his brothers always treat my mother-in-law like the ARETHA bee.
In that historic chess game Fisher put his opponent in check with his ARETHA.
My bridge partner made a brilliant move when he played the ARETHA to trump and win.
Everyone dismissed Bob because they see him as being such an old ARETHA.

The difficulty with all this is soon someone will get it all mixed up with Uretha.

Georgia Frontiere Female Owner of NFL Team Died

Georgia Frontiere, the owner of the NFL professional franchise World Champion St. Louis Rams has died. Georgia Frontiere who died on Friday, January 18, 2008 in Los Angeles was 80 years old. She had been hospitalized for several months as she battled breast cancer.

Frontiere inherited the team when her husband, Carroll Rosenbloom, died in 1979 in a swimming accident. According to the team's official web site she is known as one of the few active female owners of a major professional franchise.

For sixteen years following her husband's demise Ms Frontiere's team remained in Los Angeles. In 1995 The team was moved to St. Louis, Missouri, the hometown of Rosenbloom's widow. It just so happened St. Louis had a brand new state of the art domed stadium and plenty of ready willing and able professional footballs fans to support the new franchise.

Georgia Frontiere is survived by her son, Dale Rosenbloom, and daughter, Lucie Rodriguez, along with six grandchildren as well as her companion of 19 years, Earle Weatherwax

In 1999 the St. Louis Rams won Super Bowl XXXIV winning 23-16 ove the Tennessee Titans at the GEorgia Dome in Atlanta.

In the 2001 season the Rams were NFC champions.

Suzanne Pleshette Dead Played Newhart's TV Sitcom Wife

Suzanne Pleshette, the actress who along with Lauren Becall, Brenda Vacarro, and Kathleen Turner, are known for throaty voice character, died yesterday at home in Los Angeles. Cause of death is reported as respiratory failure.
Ms Pleshette, age 70, began her entertainment career in the 1950s, first appearing on Broadway, then television and later in films.

The actress had been undergoing chemotherapy treatment for lung canger since 2006

Suzanne Pleshette is best known for her role as Emily Hartley the sarcastic but level headed wife of psychologist Robert Hartley, played by stand-up comedian Bob Newhart, on the popular television program. The show was produced by MTM Enterprises and aired on CBS television network for 6 years from 1972 until 1978.

In 2000 she married her third husband comic actor and former co-star on the New Hart program Tom Posten, who predeceased her in 2007.

Pleshette received several Emmy Award nominations for her television roles including her portrayal of Leona Helmsley, the villified "Queen of Mean". She was also a featured player in Alfred Hitchcock's film thriller "The Birds".

According to Arnold Robinson, who is the publicicst for both Tracey Edmonds and Eddie Murphy, there will be no official wedding ceremony acceptable to the United States of America.

"After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forgo having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further."

Say what??

"While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends."

Unnamed sources who attended the wedding in French Polynesia say Murphy began yelling at Edmonds in front of invited guests. The source says this happened shortly after they'd taken their romantic vows before a small intimate group of friends and family. "It was kind of like he was trying to control Tracey. It was embarrassing for her."

Following that private and exclusive celebration I guess Eddie decided he did not really wish to be all that exclusive...if you know what I mean.

More Oscar Peterson Music 1925-2007

We really enjoy and thoroughly appreciate the musical talents of the late pianist Oscar Peterson. We wish to share his music with you. Oscar Peterson died at his home in the Toronto suburb of Mississauga on Sunday, December 23, 2007.

The following piece is one of our favorites. In this recording of a live performance,The Oscar Peterson Trio at the Berlin Philarmonie on July 2, 1985, Oscar is accompanied by the late Niels Henning Oersted Pedersen on bass and Martin Drew on percussion. The trio plays Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein's romantic ballad "Falling in Love With Love". Enjoy!
