Get ready for the shower! I have many bath items available in my shop and more to come over the next few weeks. There are small scrubbies that are great for exfoliating your face and full sized washcloths. The soap savers allow you to save all those slivers of soap that collect in the soap dish and use them to wash up in the shower without them slipping out of your hand. More colors are on their way!

This was my first Craft Show - and it turned out to be a lot of fun:) I will definitely like to do more shows later in the year. I am working on a new line of items - Felted Bags! I hope to start selling these on ETSY in late March and then apply to some craft shows for late spring!

Mixed Media - Watercolor Artist

Goddess of Love Shop: Photo, Beads, and Illustration

Sheika Lugtu of Deabus Amor is mainly a bead maker but I found her two-dimensional art very exciting as well! In her shop you will see an assortment of art and craft items - photographs, beads, computer art, and cell phone charms.

Seen here is her Black and White Photograph "Winter Solace" and a digital illustration entitled "Watermelon Wally and the Terrible Accident." Both are available as 8x10 prints on acid-free archival quality paper.

Her shop name, Deabus Amor, is latin for "Goddess of Love". I like the playful nature of her artwork and overall shop. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her designs in the future.

Delicious Wrapped Wire Rings

The "Signature Sterling" shop has gorgeous jewelry full of eye catching beads. I particularly loved these wrapped wire rings:

The ring above, "Berries and Cream" is made up of ruby 'berries' and shiny pearls. This ring is very elegant. I love the combination of beads along with the sterling wire.

The ring above called "Garnet Nest" was created for the EtsyBEAD street team's challenge of the week. The theme for the week was 'Lady in Red.' I love the idea of a weekly challenge to get you inspired and always keep you working on new ideas for your shop. Sounds like fun!

Today's featured ETSY artist is That's Headley! Her shop is full of great necklaces, bracelets, and many other jewelry pieces. Here are two of my favorite items...

These earrings, "Three Peas in a Pod" are made of sterling silver and freshwater pearls. I love the design and that part of the earnings will go toward her favorite charity. She has several pieces in her shop that are part of her "Hope for Whirled Peas Collection."

Description of the charity:
"The Fisher House™ Foundation program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs."

The "Strawberry Fields" bracelet is another one of my favorites. I love the color combination of the silver, strawberry quartz, and light pastel beads. That's Headley writes excellent descriptions of her pieces. They really show how much she thinks thorugh her bead and color choices and also how much love and care goes into each piece:) Here's an example:

"This very modern (or is it retro?) triple strand bracelet features a large (12mm) Bali sterling silver bead surrounded by strawberry quartz rounds (8mm) to form a lovely flower to sit upon your wrist. Adding to the charm are amazonite rondelles and cubes, and fire-polished faceted Czech crystals in a peachy-apricot (yum...I'm starting to think I need to get a fruit salad!). Floral motif sterling silver beads expand the bracelet from the single-stranded clasp ends to the triple-stranded middle, and the bracelet closes with a handcrafted sterling hook closure. Length is 8 inches (20cm) and fits wrists up to 6 3/4 inches (17cm) in diameter."

ETSY featured artist - Paulette Insall

Today's featured artist is Paulette Insall of Portland, Oregon. Although she has always been involved in creative pursuits she is fairly new to painting. Her imagery features a series of female characters who are posed in a setting that expresses a story that Paulette has created. Paulette adds collage elements to the background and builds up layers of materials to create her mixed media paintings.

In "Follow" Paulette is expressing the idea of following your dreams despite the stumbling blocks that you come across. I also enjoyed "Crossroads" which has many beautiful natural elements. I love how her collar turns into a butterfly at either edge.

Featured ETSY Artist - CSerpent

Today's featured ETSY artist is Susan, the creator behind CSerpent Designs. The gorgeous beads she uses in her jewelry caught my eye today as I was browsing the 90 Day Challenge shops. Susan has been making jewelry for several years now and has mastered her craft. She uses a lot of intricate beads - i love her combination of glass and metal beads.I was drawn to this bracelet due to the texture on the teal beads. I've never seen beads like this. I love CSerpent's unique materials! The piece below is a 12" bookmark. Amongst the small seedbeads are purple Czech glass beads. CSerpent's other items in her shop include earrings, watchbands, barrettes, and letter openers. The shop is very diverse yet displays a distinctive style. Vintage Pendant Shop: Yaslani

Looking for jewelery that will act as a conversation starter? Yaslani's shop is full of intriguing bamboo pendants that do just that. Her bamboo pendants measuring 1-1/2" by 3/4" feature small images from pop culture. Many pendants are sold in sets of two or three.

Yaslani is a New Jersey girl who lived in Los Angeles briefly. Her love of collecting and recycling times in her artwork has led her to create her line of pendants. She says of her artwork, "I consider my art to be an aesthetic conversation. A lovely chat between friends sometimes relaying a story or an inside joke. The only judgment I make with my art is “am I feeling this or not.” The “not” pile gets recycled for another day."

The themes in her pendants range from classic celebrities to nature to vintage advertisements. Take time to browse through this extensive store. You will find many items that remind you of a story, a friend, a memory. Enjoy!

This site is very easy to navigate around and includes a wish list feature where you can collect your favorite items. The "Deals" section allows artists to list sales and the "Gift Guide" displays their featured artwork. Trunkt even has job listings for the design field.
