Robbie created her Watercolor Star from one of those huge hydrangia prints you see from Lakehouse fabrics! This picture doesn't do it justice, it is stunning in real life! Watercolor quilts can be a bit of a challenge if you don't have that perfect fabric with lots of " full floral" and "edge" pieces to fussy-cut! If you love jigsaw puzzles you would love making this beauty!

Her daughter Barbara made the bag as a gift for her mom! I hope Anika knows what is expected of her!! Those blues are really quite beautiful! Good fabric choice for a Grommet Bag!
My mom let us order more colors and we now are carrying 2 sizes of grommets! Yeah, mom!

Her knock-out runner was a class with Donna Wilhide using the Seasonal Table Runner Pattern by Judy Niemeyer. Those points come with paper-piecing techniques.

Ladies, we are running this class again next quarter if you want to make your own!

Jan has a passion for all things Halloween! This embroidery collection is Haunted House by Anita Goodesign. Their are 12 hoopings in this wallhanging with black fusible bias tape covering the seams. Tricky!
For you ladies that haven't tried the scenes yet, we carry the Nativity, Santa's Ride, and Sleigh Ride besides the Haunted House!

Jitterbug Rug!

Everyone finished their rug by the end of class. That is a WOW!

Husqvarna Viking Convention 2009!

We flew into rainy Dallas, Texas on Wensday afternoon. Dad had a stretch Hummer pick us up at the airport! Awesome! We had a small problem though meeting up with our driver, Rick. Did you know there are more than one pre-arranged limo pick-up area with a blue sign in Dallas? Me Neither!

Bev and I got to use the New Texture Hoop! When Bev was finished she realized she stitched her Chenille Foot into her project! We are not letting her forget this blonde moment!

A Nickel by Gerianne!

Everything is based on a 5'' square in Gerianne's quilt! They call it Jewel Box in the Nickel Quilts Book. She made it for her daughter's boyfriend. Isn't she sweet? In the larger squares she even used chenille-like upholstery fabric. He will love it! Very masculine!

"Bradley" Duffle!

We teach a 1 day class from 9:30 till finish on the "Bradley" bag which is similar to the Vera Bradley look! Sally got the duffle size done in a day, although this isn't her first! She quilted her own batik fabric to mimick a prequilted look. Beautiful job, Sally!

much easier than templates!
The quilt pattern is included with the interfacing pack.

Amanda and her daughter Katie came into our shop to pick out the colors for this masterpiece!
They used batiks which work perfectly for transitioning from light to dark shades.
The quilt pattern comes from a book called French Braid Quilts!

Marge is quilting this king size quilt herself! She owns a Pfaff Creative Vision with a 10'' throat and built in dual feed so she is set! The quilt pattern comes from Egg Money Quilts by Eleanor Burns!

Although she didn't use 30's reproductions like the book, I think its beautiful! Don't you?

Brenda's colors look like vintage victorian postcards! This pattern is by Buggy Barn, the idea is to stack your fatquarters, slice, shuffle, and sew! The hardest part is how wacky your edges come out, nothing lines up, it defies a true quilter's purpose of perfection...but it works beautifully if you just have a little faith and wack it straight! Gotcha curious don't I??

I'm not sure how to teach her to go forward? She doesn't exactly crawl she scoots around and gets stuck under furniture! If I hear this squeak I know she is stuck yet again. She is like those sausage dogs that get stuck on their tummies!!

Don't you love the layout she chose? She brought her quilt top in to pick out a border fabric which ended up being a rich, rust stripe that she'll cut lengthwise and miter!

Sally is quite the gal tackling a queen size version of Judy Niemeyer's paper-pieced Wedding Star Pattern! This particular quilt is a quite a challenge and has frustrated more than one of our quilters with its curved piecing technique!

Roses for the Bride is the name for this quilt! I taught it a few years back before the book Quilts from Larkspur Farms was discontinued! You can't tell from the picture,but she only used 2 fabrics for the whole quilt! The sky blue is the back of a gold lame finished batik fabric!

Now this truly is a One Block Wonder, don't you love it?

We have reordered that fabric if anyone is interested!
