<span style="font-style: italic;">Batman: The Dark Knight Returns</span> (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Knight_Returns">wiki</a>/<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Batman-Knight-Returns-Frank-Miller/dp/1563893428">amazon</a>). Apparently a lot of comic book nerds really liked this book - that's why I picked it up. I figured it would be an entertaining batman comic that might blow my socks off. It didn't. The story in this book is kind of lame and it feels very disjointed. There are scenes in the book that are indeed entertaining but the book as a whole is very disappointing. Maybe it was a shocker back in 1986 and if that's the case this book do not hold up. Anyone else read it?<br /><br />Next up, Watchman. I'm going to read the book before I see the movie. We'll see if blows my mind like everyone claims it should. I hope it does, I'll need something to impress me after reading that horrible Batman graphic novel.<br /><br /><span style="font-size:85%;"><br />Q: Numbers of zombies I'd kill to get <span style="font-style: italic;">The Dark Knight Returns</span>?<br /><br />A: None. That's so crazy. So I was about 13 when this came out?? what the hell? That doesn't seem right... but it is. It's wild to think about all the complex games we used to play when we were little. It's really shocking to me now that I was able to tackle civilization when I was 13. I've always thought that my 13 year old self was an idiot but I guess not.<br /><br />There we so many great games back then. X-COM, Tie Fighter, Dark Forces, Fallout. The ones done by Sam Rami. Well yesterday I was channel surfing looking for something to watch and I stumbled upon a show that had the same vibe but set in a Medieval Fantasy world (as opposed to Ancient Mythology). It was called 'Legend of the Seeker', also produced by Sam Rami. Still campy, but fun cause it has that D&amp;D feel to it.
