I was unsuccessful with Ghost 8.0, also getting a Windows Boot Manager - Windows failed to start error. Using Ghost 11.0.2, I successfully imaged a smaller VMware vmdk hard drive to a larger one.

Thanks for your tip to use Norton Ghost to clone Windows Server 2008 drives.

I needed to clone a 160GB Hitachi with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise to a 320GB Western Digital.

I tried EZ-GIG II, Drive Image and Acronis - all without success. I tried multiple times and it didn't work no matter which drive was mounted in the machine and which one was in the external enclosure.

I kept getting the following error when starting the sytem with the newly cloned drive:

Windows Boot Manager
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your computer."
If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.

I needed to move my existing W2K8 server onto a new larger hard drive.

I installed the new drive, booted to a bootable CD with Ghost 11.0.2 on it, and cloned the smaller disk to the new larger disk. Then I removed the old smaller disk and booted to the new disk without any issues.

Just so I get this correct.
You used Ghost 11.0.2 to push a ghost client onto a win2008 machine.
You then took an image of that win2008 machine and pushed it onto another machine with no issue.
The 2nd client machine came up fine?
