After the assent of the Honorable Governor of Rajasthan, the University has been established under the Maharaja Ganga Singh, University, Act, 2003 which was notified in the Rajasthan Gazzette on June, 7, 2003.This statute terminated the territorial jurisdiction and also the affiliation of 69 colleges located in the districts of Churu, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh and Bikaner. As a result, 92444 students were enrolled and examined in various faculties by the University in 2004 for Bachelor’s, master’s degrees and some diploma courses. Still larger number of students were enrolled and examined in the year 2005.

Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) - Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC) has been referred to the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR). The main objective of SICA is to determine sickness and expedite the revival of potentially viable units or closure of unviable units (unit here in refers to a Sick Industrial Company).

(BIFR) has accepted its Rs 100-crore revival proposal for ailing cable manufacturer
INCAB.

“Tata Steel had submitted Rs 98.7 crore revival proposal for INCAB, which has been accepted by BIFR over two parties — RR Cable and Pegasus in the interest of the workers,” Company spokesperson Prabhat Sharma told PTI.

INCAB was referred to BIFR in 1999, which declared it sick in 2000. Nearly 1400 employees
of the sick company, which has two plants at Jamshedpur and Pune apart from several offices have not been getting their wages since then, sources said.

“BIFR has asked Tata Steel to prepare a fully tied-up DRS proposal for the company and submit within a time span of two-and-a-half months,” a company statement said.

“The direction by BIFR in view of the unemployed workers of INCAB which has been lying closed for about 10 years now, causing immense hardship to the workers,” the statement added.

It is with this view that Tata Steel has been considered as the best choice to take care of the workers and ensure their well being, the company said.

"I shall visit the Delhi residence of Vajpayee to pay respect to him," Gadkari, who celebrated his silver wedding anniversary with close relatives and select mediapersons at his 'Gadkariwada' residence in Mahal area in Nagpur, said.

He said he would be leaving for Delhi on Saturday morning and return to the city on December 20. He would address media in Nagpur on December 24.

Gadkari has maintained his close proximity with the RSS leadership right from the days of the then RSS chief Balasaheb Deoras and later with Rajju Bhaiyya, K C Sudarshan and the current head of the organisation Mohan Bhagwat.

In fact, the talk in BJP circles is that Gadkari became the hot favourite for the top job following Bhagwat's search for a new leader to turn the party around.

The concept of the Yamuna Expressway (erstwhile Taj Expressway) which was initially conceived with the idea of cutting down on this travel time proposes a 160 km Expressway between Greater Noida and Agra thus reducing the travel time considerably upto 100 minutes only.

For implementing the Yamuna Expressway (erstwhile Taj Expressway) Project and allied development in the region, GOUP constituted Taj Expressway Industrial Development Authority (TEA) vide its Notification No.697/77-4-2001-3(N)/2001 dated 24th April, 2001, under U.P. Industrial Area Development Act, 1976 (U.P. Act No.6 of 1976). The main responsibilities of TEA, inter alia, included :

Execution of Yamuna Expressway (erstwhile Taj Expressway).
Acquisition of land for construction of Expressway and area development.
Preparation of Zonal plan/Master plan for planned development along the Expressway.
Development of drainage, feeder roads, electrification and other facilities in the area.

Approx. 334 villages of District Gautam Budh Nagar, Bulandshahar , Aligarh, Mahamaya Nagar (Hatras), Mathura and Agra are Notified under Yamuna Expressway (erstwhile Taj Expressway) Industrial Development Authority vide various Notifications of Govt. of U.P.
