Wedding Night

I am getting married in the next couple months. I was just wondering about the wedding night. I am an LDS girl most of what I know was told to me by friends. I don't really know what to expect. My fiancee and I have talked about it and I am very aware of the fact that he knows a lot more than me. Basically my question is what are somethings that as a couple we should talk about before that night? What I should I know beforehand? Stuff like that.

The other day I saw an older lady (in her late 60s, early 70s) with long bleached blonde hair that reached below the middle of her back. It just didn't look quite age appropriate and it got me wondering: At what age do women need to call it quits on certain things, such as trendy fashions, etc? What are some things that you think have age limits?

What about flowers in their hair ?
Above the knee skirts?
Shorts?
Bikinis?
Long hair?
Trendy jeans?
Or whatever else you can think of.

This is just for fun, I'm not trying to be judgmental.

no period

I never had a period in December, and thought for sure I was pregnant. I was pretty nauseous, hungry, tired, gassy, my breasts/ nipples were extremely tender (probably TMI, sorry). I also noticed some blood in my underwear, not like period blood but just a little blood. (TMI again, sorry) I was assuming it was implantation spotting. I woke up January 1st and all of the symptoms were gone. Now I'm just really, really grumpy. I took a pregnancy test January 1st and it said negative, and have taken two more since and they all say negative. What is going on? Has this ever happened to anyone? Should I be worried that I didn't have a period, and felt pregnant but now don't feel like it at all? It just seems so strange.

Reader beware....
I've been having some weird issues lately. About a week and a half ago I had on some weird underwear (laundry day) that didn't quite fit snugly and I THINK it made my discharge chafe my vagina giving me what I can only think is like diaper rash. I don't have any kids so I don't know what diaper rash looks or feels like but I felt very sore and tender to the touch and I did not like moisture to be down there at all (like during the shower or anything). So I tried putting vasilene on it because I had that at my house already and I know some mom's use that for diaper rash and it made me feel better but the redness didn't really go away. Then the tender part switched to a really annoying itch, still red. I could hardly keep my hands off myself it itched so bad. Now the itching is gone, thank heavens, but it's still red. It isn't red on my actual vagina or my anus, it's the area right in between the two. That part is sore, but nothing else is. Did I really have "diaper rash" or is this more serious. I don't have health coverage right now (new job) so I don't want to go to the doc unless I have to. Any advice? Sorry this is so gross, good thing this blog is annonymous huh!

Book - Pet Sematary, Stephen King (I was 10 and slept with the light on for two days afterwards)
Movie - The Omen (VHS- I think I was 11; again, slept with the light on for a couple of days afterward)

(LDS) Mission in Japan?

Hi,

My cousin will be serving a mission in Japan. He learned Japanese in high school, but I know it's not exactly an LDS-friendly country, and no one in our family has ever been to Japan or has any Japanese friends. Does anyone have any advice for him, or would anyone like to share his/her experiences? TIA!

Okay so the past few months i have had these pain attacks in my upper right abdomen area the pain is very bad and sometime unbearable and it goes to my back between my shoulder blades it has happened quite a few times people told me it was my gall bladder but i never went in. Well this week the pain has come every day and has been very bad so i finally went in to the urgent care. They did test and an ultrasound and the dr found gallstones. They gave me meds and sent me home and I am just waiting for a another ultrasound to see how many and how big the stone or stones are. Well my questions are has anyone had gallstones and what did you do? Also i am going through the fertilty clinic and wondering if its better to get the gallbadder surgery before i get pregnant? Thanks!

Home Building

My husband and I are considering building a home and are at the very beginning of the information gathering phase...so my question is this...Those of you who have any experience with this in the last 5 years or so, how much were you able to build your home for? And what did you get for that price? Did you do any of the work yourself? How long did it take? Finished basement or not? How much of that price was for the land? Where did you build? Any information and advice on the whole deal would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Breastfeeding Help Part II

I'm the one who left the post a couple of days ago about suddenly not producing enough breast milk. I've been pumping like crazy but haven't seen much of a difference. I only get about 1 1/2-2 total each time I pump. I have a call out to a lactation specialist, but with the New Year, I may not hear back for a few days.

I'm not going to give up on the pumping yet, but I have decided to supplement with formula because my poor baby is hungry! The problem is, she doesn't like formula. Now what do I do?! I've only tried one kind and I've only tried it a couple of times. Do I just keep giving it to her and when she's hungry enough, she'll eat it? I've also been mixing it in with her baby cereal so she can get used to the taste that way. Any other advice?

dirty dishes

My dishwasher has started leaving sandy grainy yuck all over my glasses. It's making me crazy. My dishes are going in cleaner than they are coming out. I don't leave food on them before loading them. I always rinse. Any suggestions on how to stop this?

Traditions I've heard of are wearing red, sleeping with a penny under your pillow and eating fish on New years Eve. (all supposed to bring good luck for the New Year.)

Breastfeeding Help

I have been nursing exclusively for about six months. The past week, I have noticed my letdown reflex is incredibly slow. It probably takes 3-5 minutes for the milk to come (which seems like an eternity to my hungry baby). Also, my milk supply seems to have suddenly decreased. My baby only nurses for a few minutes on each side and then is still hungry for more. I've just started solids to help her feel more full, but I don't want to have to start using formula. (I always nurse her before feeding her solids, so I know my supply isn't decreasing because of the solids.)

Have any of you experienced this? Did anything you do help?

We just got a mac, and when i upload my pictures into iphoto and then edit them in cs3 (photoshop) and save it doesnt save the edited version, i have to go into the hard drive and find it. is there a setting i am missing?? ( i do save the photo with the same name and location, or so i thnk?) any thoughts or help??

Weirdly Shaped Windows

I just moved into a new apartment and the windows in the master bedroom are really weird. Picture a ten-foot-wall with a window the size of a door frame on one side, a blank spot in the middle, and a window the same width as the first but half the length on the other side. I think they made the second window shorter so you could put a dresser under it but we don't want to put our dresser there and I have no idea what kind of curtains to put up in these windows. The blank space in the middle of the wall between the windows is big enough to fit a bookcase or tall dresser in.
I'm thinking I might just get some long curtains that will fit the longer window and hang the same size in the shorter window to fake it that they are the same size. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'm kind of at a loss here.

How to Deal with this!!!

Okay so i need some advice on how to deal with this friend of mine.... she is a really good friend and i love her to death but sometimes i want just tell her off... well my major issue is my brother passed away earlier this year and my dad is having a really hard time with it and i am trying to help him as much as i can and do what i can. Well she is always saying he is a grown up and should be able to handle it on his own or he should not be still like this ... for example i got my dad a digital pic frame for chirstmas and just put pics of the only grandchild he has right now and didnt put anyone of us kids or my brother and she said i shouldnt be walking on egg shells and she should be able to look at pictures of him by now...i always bit my tounge and let it go.. i dont like confortation at all. I know i should say something to her since it bothers me so much. Because everyone grieve differently and no one should say when or how they should be dealing with it. It makes me so mad.... i just done know how to deal with it.
