Happy New Year boys and gals!

Things seem a bit quiet on the website-front but rest assure I am busy as working and thinking up tasty accessories..its finding the time when I can do it all is the problem!

The Stockists page needs a wee update:

In the UK, we are stocked at Frippery in Manchester's Afflecks Palace. Hannah and co. have our cutey pie giant bow hairbands for sale, have a peek before that wonderful shopping arcade closes for good end of January! But don't worry as Frippery will be moving to a nearby location - details to come! We are currently not in Appletree Commercial Road as that shop has closed down! :(

For Online sales, Etsy is the place to be! Who is loving Etsy as much as I am? I do just about all my shopping on there now! The MISS Etsy shop may be looking a bit slim at the mo, but I promise I will be stocking it up very very soon - promise! Expect a RESTOCK of fabulous sparkling jacquard makeup brush bags in new fabrics, "Victorian Punk" fabric hair bands, more giant bows, more beady jewelled bracelet cuffs, and a few extras *wink wink*.

To make room for the newer stuff, I have put on SALE both pink gingham fabric hairbands in the shop! If you've had your eye on either of them for a while, now's the time to snap it up - it IS one of a kind after all!

In the pipeline later this year is the launch of the MISS Big Cartel shop for UK Online shoppers! Lots of plans for that happening so expect something grand.

Apologies if updating the blog is a once per 2 months (or more) affair, am soon moving flats and changing jobs so have been swamped!

Have you checked out the newest issue of Elle UK magazine? I was over the moon when they included not 1, but 2 blurbs on the fantastic little hair accessory that is the BOW!

And with the holiday/party season looming, look no further, why not update your look with a MISS oversized bow hairband? Made In Shoreditch Somewhere have a new stockist!

We're in Manchester's Affleck's Palace. I'm super excited cos Manchester is such an amazing city and Afflecks, for those who haven't been to this fantastic place, is a huge indoor market-esqe shop that sells emo, retro, vintage, rock, indie, and goth wares under one roof!

We're stocked at "Frippery", shop and studio of the cute and kitsch DIY jeweller, Hannah Nuttall, who also runs "Hannah Makes Things". Come on up to the 3rd floor to get your MISS giant bow hairbands in lots of different colours and patterns and party hard this coming holiday season!

Also, I will soon be at the Brick Lane Upmarket on alternating Sundays, manning the "Hannah Makes Things" stall, I will be selling select MISS accessories on these days!! I'll be at the Upmarket starting on Sunday, 21 October - Come and say hello won't you?

Brick Lane Backyard Market round-up

So the weekend just past saw MISS at the Brick Lane Backyard Market alongside independent crafter, Claire Dawson. Our stall looked great and it was very nice to meet and greet everyone! We'll most likely do another stall soon in the Upmarket part of Brick Lane and also another one nearer to the holiday season!

It's been a long wait but finally we are set to make an appearance at the Brick Lane Backyard Market here in London! This coming Sunday, 3 June, Made In Shoreditch Somewhere alongside independent designer, Claire Dawson, will be selling our hip handmade wares at this very happening market event!

Expect leather wallets, handmade badges and cards by Claire, while you can find giant bow headbands by MISS, beaded wristcuffs, jewelled heart shaped brooches, and the newest addition to the label, our fab roll-up makeup bags in fantastic metallic jacquards.. and lots more!! Hello! "Made In Shoreditch Somewhere" is in the process of changing around stockists and replenishing! At the moment, to shop online, www.madeinshoreditch.etsy.com is your best bet. Prices are in USD, but we welcome international orders as we ship from London, UK. There's a few new items added from last time, including more "Harajuku"-inspired headbands and brooches modelled by the lovely Sara!

The Minnie bow headbands will once again be at Appletree (in Spitalfields, East London) once their shop move is finished. These headbands will also soon be available at another new stockist which will be revealed once it is officially launched on their website!

We've decided to take down the recent stock at Cut'n'Paste to make room for newer products and possible MISS clothing! As some of you may already know, I actually studied Fashion Design throughout High School and College, so this will be a great return to my first passion! It will be under the name Miss Shoreditch (not unlike Miss America!). It's all in development and sketch format but something I am looking forward to working on!

So yes, busy busy busy we are behind-the-scenes... it must be the edge of Spring we're in, I'm feeling energized!

Just a quickie update on the haps behind Made in Shoreditch Somewhere... I'm currently working on new items for the M.I.S.S. Etsy shop and Cut x Paste so expect new stock soon! Also, me and my fab web-guy are currently re-designing the website! It's been a while I know, but sit tight and all will be revealed in a few week's time!

Sorry guys, Unfortunately due to problems with stall space, the Sunday Upmarket has been put on HOLD for the time being. We're sorting it out on our end and I will definitely post up about it again soon the rescheduled date that MISS will be at the Upmarket!

The past month I had been working on headbands for the boutique at Teatro Zinzanni in San Francisco! They are Moulin Rouge-inspired, totally jewelled, sparkled, feathered, totally new headbands soon to be available exclusively in the shop in the coming weeks.

I really want to thank Sara, James, and Kat for their help and company. It was real fun and the outcome of it came out gorgeous. If you are in the area, it's definitely worth having a look and check out the Teatro Zinzanni show as well!

Yay, for summer still isn't over!

For all you Londoners and Shoreditch-ettes, I've just re-stocked at the Appletree boutique (across the street from the old Spitalfields Market) with new Minnie Bow headbands available in a mix of super cute fabrics.

You can choose between swingin' polka dots, baby pink gingham, or 'so on-trend' black and white dogtooth. Be like Sherry and Terry and get yours now!

And of course, there are also MISS wristcuffs still available in store.

I've also sent off recently a load of new stock to our favorite post-DIY webshop, Cut 'n' Paste, so expect some new items up there very soon which includes a mix of new wristcuffs, new "Linger"-style headbands, and new Minnie bow headbands!

The past week I've been sorting out 'the MISS office' and got rid of loads of fabric (been donating it to the London College of Fashion) and condensed down the trims that I use vs. the ones that I don't. It's gone quite well, the big pile of fabrics I recently acquired isn't on the floor in the corner anymore - yay! I feel alot more organized now and can actually concentrate better on the label.

Hi everyone, another quick update here, if you were waiting for more headbands and wristcuffs, check out the new Made In Shoreditch items that are up at Cut X Paste now! mini new york update

I'm in New York right now and it's great. Spring is awesome in the city! Been catching up with my friends, my family, and going to my usual hangouts. Went sourcing with my friend, Michelle this week and I got some new charms and trinkets, and new ideas that I can't wait to work with when I get back to London. Also, I met Jenny from Cut x Paste last week, and gave her some items so expect them really soon at the website!

(30% down from its original retail price) Grab 'em while you can, as I'm making way for new stock which means, more new headbands, more new wristcuffs, and some other new accessories which will be a surprise.. watch out for it in the coming weeks.

I just want to say thank you for all those who have made the Harajuku-inspired headbands a success. They've generated quite a bit of interest, and I hope that they are getting you noticed and you feel that you are wearing something really special and unique, as that is what I feel when I wear mine 'round London, and what I had in mind when I am designing and making them.

Am getting ready for my trip back home to the Big Apple.. shopping in the Village, lunch at Cosi, and a bit of stockist research in Soho... I really can't wait! I'm going to be making a visit to my New Jersey stockist, Le Petit Garage, so expect new stock there in a few weeks as well!

Hi everyone! Stock Update: There are some new cuffs over at Koh Samui in Covent Garden. The new cuff selection have a Heavenly/starry theme to them, mostly embellished with holographic star sequins, silver angel wings, and silver plated chains. Please check the stockists page for more info on Koh Samui.

I just finished some private commission work for a client for her upcoming wedding. I used to make chokers back when the label first started, but over time had put it aside to concentrate on other products, but this commission saw me returning back to designing and making them again.

The main part of the choker was an embellished flower motif, which I constructed out of cream lace and jewelled it up "MISS"-style. The streamers are a mix of organza and satin ribbon, lace, and silver-plated chains.

With eyepins, I made a chain of beads to add a contrast to the plain choker band. To finish, the choker has a vintage rhinestone button and satin rouleaux loop closure at the back. I'm really pleased overall how it came out!

After a hefty March, I am now working on new stock for the new Montreal-based, "Headquarters Galerie & Boutique". You can read up a bit on what they do at: www.HQgalerieboutique.blogspot.com

Also, After a year away, I'm going back home to New York City end of this month for a few days! The last time I was in NY was for the Closet tradeshow which the label took part in. This time around, I'm hoping to get some NYC stockists, and expect some new items on my return from the non-stop sourcing and inspiration-gathering I will be doing!

I'm super happy to announce MISS has got another stockist!

You can find the jewelled & beaded wristcuffs and the new Minnie Spot bow headbands at "Apple Tree", the super cute boutique on Commercial Street, across the road from the old Spitalfields Market in London.

Currently in the works is new stock for Koh Samui (in Covent Garden), we're aiming to get some of the harajuku-inspired headbands in there, as well as the label-favorite jeweled cuffs..watch out for them end of March.
