Short of the teacher committing a felony, it's impossible to fire a teacher in SF. For example, you cannot be fired for incompetence or arriving late for your job every day. I've seen this with my own eyes time and time again. I would like to see teachers' salaries raised, but as a condition of that, drop the union's insistence that tenured teachers never be fired.<BR/><BR/>Charter schools can fire teachers.
