This was, without a doubt, the year of Lara Stone. Personally, despite having no particular interest in the world of models, I've always been a big fan of her. I don't know it it is because of her passion for Morrissey's lyrics or because she speaks openly about her stint in rehab. Anyway, I'm glad that her fame has expanded and we get to see her regularly in editorials.

Éste ha sido, sin ninguna duda, el año de Lara Stone. Yo personalmente, y a pesar de no tener un interés particular en el mundo de las modelos, siempre he sido muy fan suya. Será porque se reconoce admiradora de las letras de Morrissey o porque habla abiertamente de su paso por una clínica de rehabilitación. De cualquier manera, me alegro mucho de que su fama se haya expandido y podamos verla con más asiduidad en las revistas.

A few days ago I found this wrap dress from La Casita de Wendy and it has been stuck in my mind since then. To begin with red is my colour fetish. The silhouette is very feminine thanks to the jersey fabric, which embraces the women body, and also there is the full skirt. Best of all "you can wear it in almost 20 different ways" that go from the classic greek toga to the disco Studio 54 inspired style. I suspect it will be very difficult to resist the temptation.

Hace unos días me encontré con este vestido de La Casita de Wendy y no puedo dejar de pensar en él. Para empezar el rojo es mi color fetiche. La silueta es muy femenina gracias al punto, que abraza el cuerpo de la mujer, y luego está la falda de vuelo. Lo mejor de todo es que "tiene casi 20 posiciones diferentes" que van desde el corte que imita la toga griega hasta el estilo disco/Studio 54. Sospecho que va a ser muy difícil resistirse a la tentación.

1.-When and why did you become interested in fashion?

I have always done a lot of drawing and painting and I guess my "interest in fashion" started when I was about ten years old and started "designing" clothes with my friend. I still have all the sketches and considering our age we actually did some pretty cool stuff.

Movies for sure. I have a few which I watch quite often just because of all the beautiful clothes! Otherwise just people in general, often musicians.

Film: Annie Hall. I saw it last night... Again! Diane Keaton is absolutely stunning.

Song: Luka by Suzanne Vega. Suzanne Vega was a very important part of my teenage years and I remember seeing the music video when I was 13 and suddenly feeling like wearing hats and high wasted pants. So I did.

10.-What does style means to you?

I think there is like two ways to look at style and fashion in general : as an art-form or as craftsmanship.

I think you should always try to think of it as both whether you're designing, writing about fashion, shopping or just trying to put together and outfit in front of the mirror in the morning.

I mean, you can wear or design the most beautiful dress in the world but if it is not well made or in good materials it will just look terrible.

10.-¿Qué signifíca para tí la palabra estilo?

Creo que hay dos maneras de ver el estilo y la moda en general: como una forma de arte o como artesanía.

Siempre se debe tratar de pensar en ello tanto si estás diseñando, como escribiendo sobre moda, comprando o simplemente intentando escoger un conjunto por la mañana enfrente del espejo. Quiero decir, que uno puede llevar o diseñar el vestido más bonito del mundo pero si no está bien hecho o si no se han utilizado buenos materiales, parecerá un desastre.

During the 80s she developed a women line that became very popular within the Japanese market. It is possible that many of you relate Corinne Day with Kate Moss almost inmediately. However, the truth is that this English photographer had -and still has- and important role in fashion photography, especially since she defined a big part of the grunge aesthetic of the 90's.

Es posible que muchos de vosotros relacioneis de forma casi inmediata a Corinne Day con Kate Moss. Pero lo cierto es que ésta fotógrafa de origen inglés ha jugado -y sigue jugando- un papel muy importante en la fotografía de moda, sobre todo porque definió en gran parte la estética grunge de la década de los 90.

Her work during that period of time, strongly marked by her self taught status, pictured mundane scenes achieving a cozy and warm atmosphere. And for me that's her greatest contribution. All this was just an excuse to show you these two magnificent pictures that I can't stop looking at.

Su trabajo durante esa época, muy marcado por su condición de autodidacta, retrataba escenas cotidianas consiguiendo de ésta manera transmitir mucha cercanía y calidez. Y para mi esa es su gran aportación. Todo ésto para encontrar una excusa con la que poder mostraros éstas dos magníficas fotografías que no puedo dejar de mirar.

My latest acquisition: a T by Alexander Wang dress. Or rather a blank canvas with endless possibilities. It's versatility fits with most of my wardrobe. Furthermore, it has the advantage that it can be dress down during the day or it can make the transition to night adding a good pair of heels. What else can you ask for?

Mi última adquisición: un vestido de T by Alexander Wang. O más bien un lienzo en blanco sobre el que poder realizar infinitas variaciones. Su versatilidad lo hace encajar a la perfección con la mayoría de prendas de mi armario. Norman Parkison is probably one of the most influential photographers of the twentieth century because, among other things, he took the models out of the cold studio which -at that time- was a revolution. And thanks to that he gave us magnificent pictures like the ones above.

Norman Parkinson es probablemente uno de los fotógrafos de moda más influyentes del siglo XX ya que, entre otras cosas, consiguió sacar a las modelos del frío estudio hacia el exterior lo que en su momento supuso una revolución. Back from London with the feeling that time flied. I guess that's good because it means I had a great time, either way I can't help but feel nostalgic. Visiting London is always liberating at all levels, I manage to abstract from all the trials and tribulations of the daily routine and therefore the return is always hard. But I still have its effect with me, I view everything from a different light ... it is hard to explain but it feels so good.

De vuelta de Londres y con la sensación de que el tiempo a transcurrido a velocidad de vértigo. Supongo que eso es bueno porque significa que me lo he pasado bien, pero aún y así no puedo evitar sentir nostalgia. Visitar Londres siempre es una liberación a todos los niveles que me consigue abstraer de todos los problemas y tribulaciones de la rutina diaria y, por tanto, el regreso siempre es duro. De cualquier modo aún tengo su efecto conmigo, todo se ve desde un prisma diferente ...es díficil de explicar pero me siento muy bien.
