Needles are size 5 straight and size 5 DPN. All my supplies arrived this week and I'm starting tonight!Elizabethnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1287746209393402765.post-62539102626107829832007-10-13T14:32:00.000-07:002007-10-13T15:39:15.030-07:00Weekend Satchel Bag And here it is...the yarn, the book, the needle, the bobbins. And before some BO (Born Organized) counts the skeins of yarn and tells me I don't have enough - yes, I do. I purchased a different brand of wool, one that has more yardage in each skein. I have used it before. I am very happy with it and it is about half the price of the brand listed in the book. So there.Katehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11965884527273351363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1287746209393402765.post-87562086646538384812007-10-12T19:53:00.000-07:002007-10-12T19:58:40.587-07:00On your mark, get set...The book has arrived, the wool arrived late this afternoon. Tomorrow I will take a picture of all the "parts." And then, and then....oh, yes!! The Weekend Getaway Satchel begins. Who knows, I might just get it finished in time for the trip to Florida at Thanksgiving to visist the In-Laws. Or is that Outlaws? I can never remember.Katehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11965884527273351363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1287746209393402765.post-12001868917188254372007-10-01T17:31:00.001-07:002007-10-01T17:44:01.271-07:00My first KALHello to all. (guffaw) I have some lovely Jaggerspun SuperMerino in Jade - won't that look just scrumptious if I manage to pull it off? :)

Sande Francis, Fresno, CA USA
http://sandeleh.blogspot.com
http://photos.sandeleh.comSande Francishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04876881505975645650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1287746209393402765.post-10026060175639464522007-09-04T06:59:00.003-07:002007-09-04T06:59:57.910-07:00Can't WaitCan't wait for my book to arrive at my LYS. Everyone is invited to participate--even if you don't have the book and want to pull out your back issues (scroll down to see the pattern photos and list). Perhaps you have already knitted several of the designs? Post about them! Do you have an enlightening story about your experiences with one of these patterns? Share it! We're looking forward to starting this new community of IK fans to see where you will take us with this KAL.

Here's a complete list of all the patterns in the book (not in order of publication):

Pearl Buck Swing Jacket by Kate Gilbert
Cambridge Jacket by Ann Budd
Man’s Brioche Vest by Erica Alexander
Forest Path Stole by Faina Letoutchaia
Icarus Shawl by Miriam Felton
Lotus Blossom Tank by Sharon Shoji
Ruffle Tank by Leigh Radford
VIP Cardigan by Charlotte Morris
Lace Peignoir and Simple Shell by Joan McGowan Michael
Salt Peanuts by Véronik Avery
Cabaret Raglan by Norah Gaughan
Basket Weave Pullover by Melissa Leapman
Marcel’s Sweater by Véronik Avery
Marseilles Pullover by Kathy Zimmerman
Simply Marilyn by Debbie Bliss
Kristin’s Favorite Carry-All by Kristin Nicholas
Weekend Getaway Satchel by Marta McCall
Striped Fringe by Amanda Blair Brown
Threepenny Pullover by Véronik Avery
Water Garden Fair Isle by Ron Schweitzer
Burma Rings by Barbara Venishnick
Lite Lopi Pullover by Norah Gaughan
Millennium Argyle Vest by Nancy Marchant
Union Square Market Pullover by Kate Gilbert
Stripes Go Round by Lana Hames
LuckyinKY for Interweavenoreply@blogger.com
