The sun has set for now on my travels. As I try to get back into 'normal life' I start to drift away to far off places and begin to imagine where I was this time last year and what i was doing? Why do I torture myself?

The sun may have set but have no fear it will rise again!

As the sun starts to set on this year of traveling I look back and smile!

The people I have met the times that I have; many happy and fun, but some also sad! That is all part of the adventure. But as with all sun sets, it rises again. so I question where is next on my journey? Will it take me home for good or will I ever be roaming?

One of the greatest things that I have had is to share the moments with others! That has truly been a blessing!

Well it was amazing but at times rather scary!

To start with I was nervous but I settled down after hanging around for 2hrs! It wasn't until we dropped someone out at 12000ft that I started to get nervous again.

The guy in front jumped out and then my tamdem instructor started pushing me forward! As I sat on the edge of the plane I thought 'This could hurt!'

We leaned back then she through us out! I did not realise we were tumbling for a bit. Then the rush of wind and the frezing chill of it hits you!

Being so high up just seemed unreal! Looking out ver the edge of the bungy jump was more scary! The view awesome, the rush amazing, the price expensive but worth every penny!

Wow!!!

Today i completed the Nevis bungy jump, all 134m of it!

It was awesoe the feeling was amazing! Your legs are strapped together and then you have to shuffle to the edge of a swinging cage and then dive forward! The feeling as yuor urtling downwards is out of this world! I did think as I leap out 'I hope this works!'

All you can see is the river comming towards you at such speed and then suddnely you start to slow down, next your heading away from the river! My heart was pounding, the adreniling pumping and my bum was flapping!

It was so worth it! Would I do it again? Yeah, just higher!

Well this is the New Mansion!

No too bad, 0-60 in nearly a day, handles like a skip on 4 bars of soap, makes more noises than a student the morning after freshers week!

But it is fun! I have picked up a hitch hiker, poor guy! He had to listen to me for nearly 2 hours! Helped some people jump start their car, the next day they passed me and we had a conversation at 80kmh! Not the safest! After that we stopped and had lunch together!

It is great fun meeting strangers and chatting to them. I met an older couple and lent them some cooking gear, after a while they said that they owned a B&B and that i should pop in! Not bad hey!

Also met a couple of guys that have invited me round the winery they work at! Life is cool!

As I am travelling round New Zealand I decided that I would do it by myself. It all seemed like a great idea at the time but every now and then I wish I had someone with me!

I think it is healthy for me to spend sometime by myself as it is something that i have always struggled to do. Yesterday I picked up a hitch hiker and took him to Dunedin with me!

New Zealand is a beautiful country and the every where you look there is another mouth opening view. I will post some pictures soon.

I have now left Sydney and landed in Christchurch, New Zealand. It was strange to leave Sydney as I had made so many great friends there and had such a great time, even felt like home!

Now I am back on the path of travelling on my own and meeting new peopel, not something that I am scared of but it is something that takes time, and also gives you times of lonliness when no one else is around. I guess it is all part of the adventure. Seems strange that I am also half way trough and I am again brought back to that place of heading out on my own as I did in the begining.

Travelling has been a real eye opener, you end up asking questions of yourself that you had never thought of before, sometimes the answers are not what you wnat either! I realise that we are all part of the bigger picture even though it is easy to think that the world evolves around you (me not you!) and easy to become small minded. I hope that I learn to be more open minded than I thought I was!

It seems that i have not been so great at keeping this up to date!

I do try, sort of!

I have just been thinking about travelling and all that it has entailed! I feel amazed at some of the stuff that I have had the chance to see, to see such natural beauty and awe at some of the sites. It makes me realise that there is so much to see in this amazing world. Also there are the amazing people that you see and get to meet. I believe that they hold the real beauty of the world.

I love this picture because it has so much to look at, yet there is so much more through the hole, just like life.

I am looking back at my photos and I realise that time is flying! I have been away for just over 3 months so I am now 1 quarter through my travels! How scary.

It feels as if I will not have time to see all that I want to see already. Where does time go?

After doing the Great Ocean Road (pics to come shortly) I have realised how much i do not want to be in the cities, the coast line is beautiful ans so majestic. I am really looking forward to seeing Ayers rock in a few days, as that is meant to be breath taking.

Traveling has had it's ups and downs but on the whole is an experience that I would recommend to anyone. I feel that it has broadened my views and given me experiences I would not have had had I not come away.

So lets hope that it continues!

Well happy New Year to you! Just would like to remind you that I got to this year first so I win!

I have decided to copy my emails I send home to the blog, so that all can see what I am up to! I wil try and post previous emails so that you get the whole picture, enjoy!

I had a great New Year I sat at Potts Point and watched both sets of fireworks (they do one set at 9 for families), They were amazing, although I do think that London did a fantastic job this year!

Well since I last made contact with the outside world using the sooped up version of a carrier pigeon (the internet), I have been to the Olympic Stadium and have also made it to Darling Harbour (has only taken me 12 attemps, seems it is the only place I could not find in Sydney!).

The stadium was amazing, I strolled around for a few hours, took a long walk through the volunteer parade which has the names of everyone that volunteered! I wander where they got the name for the parade? They had vides and music playing as you go along. Also they had the Olympic torch they used to start the games! It inspired me so much that today I ran around Centinal Park (well some of it!).

After checking out the volunteer parade I ran through the fountain that held the flame, seemed like a good idea at the time! Until I got out the other side soaked! After a spot of super healthly Macdonalds (the only place open in an Olympic village!) I decided to go the the Aquatic centre and give Ian Thrope a run for his money! I started strong off the blocks and was just inside his world record time when the token nerdy kid does a running bomb into my path! Shame there were no bricks attached to him!

The next day it was back to work and as a new years present I was given a company car! Who's the man!? Well when I say car, it was more of a truck. Ok, Ok, they said I could take it home save me from getting the bus! I was planning to have it kitted out with NOS and Dubs (they are wheels dad), with a sports kit and new paint job, butthen I decided to book my ticket to Melbourne instead!

I found out yesterday that some of the guys from the hostel who went to Byron for New year are heading to Melbourne so I will have some friendly faces to catch up with! Not sure if I will stay to see the Commonwealth games, I will see if there are any tickets left.

Going to the Blue Mountains tomorrow, that should be fun. Hopfully I will find a koala and be able to make myself a new bag! That is if I do not fal asleep on the train again. It seems that the gentle rocking motion sends me into deep slumber to the point that I get to the end of the line and start to head back to where I came from. I must get this from my Dad who often liked to travel the whole length of the Bedford to Brighton line!

Well this is my favorite photo from all that I have taken so far!

Climbing that mountain neasrly killed me but the reward of seeing the sunrise and the view across Bali where amazing and were worth every painful step!

Being away for just over 2 weeks and I am having a great time. Meeting many new people, maily from other countries which is good.

Still missing everyone, it is strange because my phone never really rings, I miss the phones calls from friends to see what I am up to, they have been replaced by emails!

Being away has given great times to think and comtemplate, to ponder about life, also I have been able to read so much. Something I struggled to do at home.

Can not believe it is so close to leaving! All seems slightly hectic at the moment. Excited!

Well work brought me a digital camera so I will be snapping away and posting lots of pictures!

Right better get back to the packing!

It is my last few days in school, and it is all a bit sad! 15 days as of tomorrow until I leave, but I will really miss the kids that i have gotten to know and also all the staff at the schools. But so they say as one closes another one opens, and this one leads to the other side of the world!

Made a big decision yesterday. I decided that I only want my Mum and Dad to take me to the airport. I realised that it will be to much for me to cope with having lots of people coming to say good bye.

I would prefer to say good bye on my terms and in surroundings that are more comfortable, not Heathrow departures as you get rushed through like cattle! Also I do not want to go through and be a blubbering mess leaving a sea of faces behind.

Told my sister last night, will have to speak to her some more, she did not seem to happy. We are very close and she wanted to take me down to the airport.

I am sure she will understand!

Had my final vaccination today, Woo Hoo!!

I did think that that would be the final needle but then the nurse (nice nurse that she is) dropped the bombshell that I need to have a blood test to confirm that the vaccinations have worked! What does she mean 'Have worked?' I did not go through all the pain for it not to work!

Hey hoo, not to worry, I guess it is better than going away and catching something that would be really bad.

On a slightly different note, I am growing a tash to raise money for Cancer research! I am going to look so stupid!

As I drove my dad to Stansted Airport yesterday morning at 5AM!! I realised that i will not be spending Cristmas or New Year with anyone I really know! This felt a little strange. Also it dawned on me that I would not have anything to open on Christmas morning! That made me sad!

But then this mornign I had a brain wave! Why does'nt everyone I know club together and buy me a little runner round for when I get back, give me something to look forward to. Something small and practical like....... Aston Martin DB9!

What a great idea, quite like the grey colour as well!
