I find that it's a little frustrating when a series has a "look" to it, then the publishers decide to update it, make it fresh or whatever, so it looks nothing like previous books. One of the nice things about a series, such as the Plum books, is how they all look similar so you know they go together. It can make shopping easier.

I think sometimes publishers are more about attracting new business than retaining old, loyal business. It's all about the shiny and new I guess. I definitely know how you feel.
