I've been thinking a lot about building a gay/lesbian community online. Basically a forum for gay and lesbian people, where we can discuss all sorts of things, not only in the gay world, but EVERYTHING we care about!
It's gonna take some time to build, and I don't wanna waste too much time, if you think it's not something you would join/participate in. So I'm asking everyone of you (yes, people who take time out to read my humble blog) if you think this is a good idea at all??

I'm aware that there are similar forums out there to join, but a little competition never hurt anyone;)

This ad from Heinz, showing two men kissing, was too much for British tv viewers. Heinz got 200 complaints about the commercial and withdrew the whole thing...
200 complaints?! Excuse me, but how the hell is that enough to pull an ad out?

Heinz, I am ashamed of you. You should stand up for your own adverts, and not give in because 200 British up-tight arseholes choked on their Earl Grey when they watched it... The ad is not showing anything illigal or wrong, so put it back on butt-wipes!! NOW...

And now these pics show up. Lohan doesn't exactly look like she gives a crap who sees her with Samantha Ronson. The two of them attended P. Diddy's exclusive party in Cannes, and they look very snuggly on these photos! According to the Sun, several people thought they looked like lovebirds...Hmm interesting!

Lohan's mum and sister both deny that Lindsay is into girls, so who knows what's goin' on there!

I have been promoting a few things lately, all relevant in my opinion. I get a lot of requests to promote all sorts of stuff in the LGBT niche (non-profit of course), and that is great. But I cannot promote everything here. You have to remember this is a personal blog and if I promote constantly, my readers will disappear.
I will promote once in a while for you, but I have to go through the various suggestions and some might not get a mention. I'm very sorry, but that's how it works! Unless you wanna pay me...hehe;)

Qiao Qiao-China's first out lesbian singer

Gay rights organizations in China are very happy to see all the interest in the country these days.
They hope to get focus on the living conditions of Chinese homosexuals, and the daily struggle to get recognized as human beings in the communist republic.

One organization in Beijing has collected 10.000 signatures to support gay marriage. And these signatures can be seen in an exebition at the"homo-center" in Beijing.

Homosexuality is still a big taboo in China. Many people chose not to live it out, or to live it out secretly, so the organizations are extra busy these days, now the focus is on China and the this summer's Olympic Games.

Lesbian Bin Xu is worried that the exebition will be closed down by the government, since it has happended before with gay related exebitions.

I'm very much against the Olymbic Games in China, they shouldn't have a huge thing like that in such a corrupt country. Hopefully all this attention on China will lead to some sort of justice in the country, and maybe even to a better life for the Chinese people (not to mention the Tibethans)

Ellen Degeneres was very close to being political on The Ellen Degeneres Show, when she told the viewers about 15-year-old Lawrence King, who was allegedly shot dead by a fellow male student, because he had asked the guy to be his valentine.

What is wrong with people these days? Why is the homophobia so strong? We live in 2008, and love should never be punished or looked down upon. How the hell can two people loving eachother be a bad thing?? I'm just curious, cause I personally think that the world needs more love to keep on existing. I get sick to my stomach every time I hear about people being bullied or victims of a hate crime. LOVE IS A GOOD THING, ASSHOLES.

Real Madrid football-star Guti was photographed kissing another man (OMG!). Guti had lunch with the young man, and afterwards they snuggled up with a good ol' snog!

Homosexuality is a big taboo in the world of football, so obviousy this will have consequenses for the star (who is married by the way).

I can't help but wonder, does this little peck prove anything? I mean, Spanish men aren't afraid of showing a bit of emotion, and pecking eachother's cheeks is definitely not a crime. It would be cool with a gay footballer tho, but I think the poor dude will be given a hard time among his team-mates.

Gay Jesus Causing a Stir in Oz

The play "Corpus Christi" is causing a stir even before its premiere during the Mardi Gras in Sydney, Australia.

Corpus Christi portraits Jesus as a gay man, who is seduces by Judas!. Jesus also marries two gay apostles.

Obviously this pisses og the bishop in Sydney (duh...). He thinks that the play is making fun of Jesus (how awful if anyone should do that, just look at those Muhammed drawings... Wait, we don't wanna drag all that into this)

The director of the play, Leigh Rowney, wants to provoke to a debate about Christianity. The writer (who is gay), Terrence McNally, already recieved death-threaths before the play was made public.

I'm not even going to start about religion!

Not only do some people think that gays and lesbians shouldn't have the right to adopt children, it has moved on to pets...

A Swedish (yes you read it, SWEDEN, one of the most liberal countries in the world) lesbian woman has won a case against a woman from Stockholm, who refused to sell a puppy dog to the lesbian woman and her girlfriend.

The lesbian woman contacted the dog owner via an ad in the local paper, and appearantly the dog breeder found out that her buyer was gay, so she refused to sell the puppy.

The lesbian woman reported the narrow minded dog breeder for discrimination, and thankfully she won the case!

The dog breeder claimed that she refused to sell because she had been in contact (whatever that means) with transvestites before, and she had read that they liked sex with animals and animalporn (a ? is suitable here....)

That's the lamest excuse I've heard for years. But thank God they still give us the right to adopt animals (however long that might be true).

I'm sorry for the lack of updates here, but my beloved granny passed away this Saturday, 91-years-old. I'm still a bit shaken from the whole thing, since I have never seen a dead person before, and never thought I was going to see my granny die before my eyes.
