Really odd. One day after I posted this, Facebook erased our account AND our band profile page. Well, add to the fact that they are needlessly confusing, that they are awfully band hostile. Unless of course you are a major label act with big record company $$$ behind you. Facebook gets a VERY BIG vote of stupid and useless from us.

From what I know, Garry Higgins is a legendary early 70's psych folk rocker. Having us open for him may be a great show, or may be a complete fiasco. I'm looking forward to finding out.

Today we found this, one of our videos posted on what appears to be a pakistani music video and/or urdu poetry site.

Basically it's one more YouTube clone site, but we hope there are Pakistani Ultrabunny (or Hawkwind) fans out there who are now happier from this.

Sorry we don't have an Urdu Version of Squirrel Attack yet, but maybe like Fun Boy Three, we'll do that on a 12" single someday.

First Ultrabunny show in 9 months! Friday Nov 23

We've been on hiatus since Malcolm lost the storefront, but now we are back and we want everybody who wondered where we've gone to come out this week and see us play off our thanksgiving dinners.

It's an excellent bill in an excellent club, no reason to not see this show, except if you are unlucky enough to be stuck at the rents house in the burbs. and that's a good enough reason to steal their car and come see us if there ever was a reason.

First the good news: Danbury, CT has gained a bigger print shop. Now the bad news: Danbury is losing a cultural mecca. Thrown to the curb like........well, like....TRASH!! Effective May 1st, 2007, Trash American Style will no longer be able to conduct retail operations at 12 Mill Plain Road. It’s official. Not a rumor. Tell everybody. We must stress that this is NOT because of bad business or hard times. If we had our druthers, we’d stay here at 12 Mill Plain Road forever. We love this location. It has been very good to us for 17+ years. Due to circumstances way beyond our control, and with little time to effectively plan any strategy, we are forced into action. Kathy and I are going to stay in business, just in a different fashion for the time being. You’ll be seeing us at record shows, flea markets, colleges, festivals, gigs, vacant lots, and assorted roadsides all over the Northeast. Those of you across the globe will see plenty of Trash action on Ebay and elsewhere on the internet. There will probably be a storefront again, we just don’t know when. Right now, we’re starting to discount a lot of the merchandise. You’ve seen how much stuff we have and we need to get rid of a lot of it. Shop at Trash and get it while you can. Sorry, we arent playing the gig at Uncle Paulies in Greenpoint. Mainly Pete has exams and cant swing driving down to the city to play. Also we werent having very clear communications with the venue's promoters. Third, the venue appears too remote and apparently is only vaguely a building to begin with and doesnt even have a legitimate street address. Anyway, Malcolm's intuition says the fates are against this gig thus we will wait til the next gig to entertain y'all in NYC.

THE Solution to the air safety question

It seems obvious to me, the best way to ensure terrorists dont attempt any bombings or hijackings on board airplane flights is this:

anaesthetize all passengers before flying

Before boarding, passengers enter the waiting area, sit back in comfy chairs watching TV monitors and are given delicious cocktails by smiling air hostesses. 10 minutes alter, everyone is off to a dreamy sleep and conveyed onto the plane is a manner similar to baggage handling, but with more care of course.

On board passengers are treated as patients by a staff of medically trained air nurses, who make sure they are pleasantly sleeping and reacting well to the dosages.

Upon arrival, everyone is shipped off and placed in a waiting recovery room with more smiling attendants and offerend refreshments until they are awake enough to continue their journey.

This solves SOOOOO many problems or air travel. Not only can terrorists not assemble bombs or conduct hijackings, but unruly or nervous passengers are a thing of the past, crying babies, long boring trips and uncomfortable seats are no longer an annoyance. Airlines save large amounts of money by fitting more people on planes that dont require seats and save from no longer needing bathrooms, kitchens, meals, entertainment and even windows or decorations on planes. Cabin attendents replaced by medically trained staff makes the industry tap into a new employment market, guaranteeing thousands of new jobs, and best of all for customers, you wake up well rested from your flight.

An extra added benefit is that in the extremely rare case that a plane suffered a catastrophe, the public and relatives would feel more comfortable knowing the passengers were happy and oblivious and expired blissfully in their sleep.

Its really a win-win scenario.

Here's a review of the show:

Ultrabunny (previously Bunny Brains 88) was weird. Its three members donned much pink clothing, bizarre three-holed ski masks, and one was even topped with a cowboy hat. They churned out a propulsive brand of Butthole Surfers-style noise rock, heavy on the bass (provided by minor CT music scene celebrity Malcolm Tent) and skewered with oblique, effects-laden guitar, courtesy of Bobby Bunny. It was all laudable hubbub for an AMT opening band, and everyone seemed to be into the groove, when suddenly a shaving cream volcano erupted. Well, make that two masked, jump-suited mischief makers, doing their best to whitewash everyone in the room with a thick coating of the cream. They sprayed cans, they threw pies, they writhed around alone, together, on top of unsuspecting audience members. As Ultrabunny blazed along, the masked duo slowly (and erotically) began to reveal themselves – as attractive Asian women in tiny bikinis and high-heeled boots. By the end of the set, the only word swinging like drool from mouths of the remaining brave onlookers was “debauchery,” raw and unadulterated, breathtaking and worthy of the Temple.
