TWILIGHT sequel NEW MOON has shot to the top of the U.S. box office, sucking the competition dry and earning a staggering $140.7 million US in its opening week of release.

The vampire adventure achieved the third highest American debut of all time - taking $258.8 million worldwide, after opening in 26 countries. The top two earners to date are The Dark Knight and Spider Man 3.

The almighty Opes says she's calling it a day after her contract runs out, September 9th, 2011. For me, this is not soon enough. I feel she jumped the shark at least 5 years ago.

Oprah is retiring and I'm as excited as she was here on that fateful afternoon with Tom Cruise-crazy.

That's right.... I'm giddy.

Sadly, Oprah will undoubtably start another talk show on her very own network... OWN. Winfrey will premiere the Oprah Winfrey Network, a partnership with Discovery Communications, in January 2011.

Now don't hate just because I'm not an Oprah fan. I mean, I get it if you are, but I'm over it.

Opes better come up with one deadly final "Favorite Things' episode. I always tune in to see people losing their sh!t over winning free stuff. It's a Do Not Miss.

Well, let's be honest.... what design career? Ungaro made a monumental mistake and they are finally waking up and smelling the coke dust. At one time you might say Lindsay was a hot mess. Now, she's just a mess.

In September, CEO Mounir Moufarrige announced that Lohan had been brought on to provide an "electric shock" to the aging fashion house. The move, widely viewed as a publicity stunt, was so controversial that head designer Esteban Cortazar resigned earlier in the summer rather than work with a celebrity adviser.

Cortazar was proved correct in October, when critics in Paris savaged the collection and Lohan's contributions as a laughingstock. In one of the nicer reviews, WWD noted Lohan's nipple-baring outfits, covered with hearts, were "cheesy and dated . . . an embarrassment."

Now, Page Six has learned that Ungaro's chairman, Asim Abdullah, is locked in a fierce battle with Moufarrige over Lohan's future role at the company.

"Asim wants her out now," a fashion insider who has seen e-mails between the two executives tells Page Six. "Department stores in the States have already told him they won't be picking up the line if Lohan remains a collaborator, so it's a serious issue."

The problem, says our source, is that "Mounir wants to keep her on because it was his idea to hire her in the first place. He's trying to save face."

The terms of Lohan's multiyear contract were not disclosed, though it is said to be worth seven figures.

Earlier this month, Ungaro himself, who hasn't had any contact with the house that bears his name since leaving in 2005, said of Lohan's debut collection, "I am furious, but I can't do anything about it," adding that the label "is in the process of losing its soul."

Reached for comment, a rep for Abdullah said of the rift between the execs, "Such an insinuation is totally absurd."

Paul Reubens, aka Pee Wee Herman, the 57-year-old actor, best known for embodying the oddball man-child with the puppet friends (and also for two tawdry scrapes with the law), is about to don the skinny suit again to perform as Pee-wee for the first time in 19 years. Starting in early January in Los Angeles, Reubens will star in an elaborate live show in which Pee-wee yearns to fly, gets his wish, and then gives it away.

The November issue of DETAILS Magazine hits stands next week and we discover how Paul Reubens will prove to Hollywood that Pee-wee can still pack a house.

"It's a drag to have tabloid baggage. It's weird to have your career be a footnote to that, especially when you love what you do." But he's over it, he says. "I'm not giving people that power anymore."

Kourtney Kardashian, yes the pregnant one, had her home burglarized last night. This got me to thinking... these celebrities whom feel they must tweet their every move.... aren't they putting themselves at major risk of being robbed, followed, or otherwise? Things like, " oh hey @KimKardashian, it's me @KourtneyKash, i'm leaving right now for Vegas. back on sunday nite. come meet me!"

Law enforcement tells TMZ Kourtney returned to her Calabasas townhome Saturday night at about 8:30 PM and discovered the break-in.

We're told hundreds of thousands of dollars of jewelry was reportedly taken. The home is in a gated community.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Department responded and they are on scene.

We're also told among the items missing -- Kourtney's Cartier watch worth around $30,000, an expensive Rolex owned by her boyfriend, multiple diamonds including diamond hoops. And, worst of all, she's missing some vintage jewelry her dad, Robert Kardashian, left her.

We're told Kourtney had left with her boyfriend at around 7 PM for dinner, returned and discovered the break-in. They found many of the drawers open.

Last night yet another tipsy celebutard got caught behind the wheel. This time it's Stephanie Pratt from The Hills.

"It was your basic DUI. Our traffic officers driving down the street spotted her and pulled her over," Sgt. Sal Ogaz tells PEOPLE. "She was cooperative and there were no issues with her arrest."

Police records show Pratt, 23, was arrested at 3:45 a.m., charged with a misdemeanor, and was transferred to the Van Nuys Jail for booking, where she was released around 10:30 a.m on $5000 bail.

Earlier in the evening, Pratt was at Holly Montag's birthday party at Empire, an L.A. nightclub. At 11 p.m. she Tweeted: "its my sissy @hollymontags bday party! just finished dinner and going to Empire but im pretty tired aka yes i am the party pooper :("

I guess you could say her night started out bad, and ended even worse.

Last week during a live taping, Conan O'Brien really smoked his head on the hard studio floor. He was filming a stunt with Teri Hatcher in which the pair were in a foot race outside the studio in the rain and when they hit the slick floor, he bailed. Now you can watch the wipeout in all its glory. They did not air the show that night, instead opting for a repeat broadcast.

Burt Reynolds Prefers An Altered State

Burt Reynolds is seeking treatment in a rehab center for an alleged addiction to painkillers and alcohol, after an accident at his home in Florida last month sparked fears of his mental state.

According to the National Enquirer (ahem), Burt Reynolds, 73, was admitted to hospital on 21 August (09) after he was found semi-conscious and covered in blood following a fall at his waterfront mansion in Hobe Sound.

"The houseman found Burt lying in a pool of blood. He'd fallen and was badly cut. The houseman drove him to the hospital. But this time, Burt was behaving strangely, and doctors were so concerned about his state of mind that they sent him to the county mental health facility in West Palm Beach."

Reynolds agreed to check straight into rehab after medics refused to discharge him unless he sought professional help for his alleged addictions at the nearby Hanley Center.

"He's been increasingly abusing booze and prescription drugs, mainly painkillers. There have been many times recently when he's been completely out of it, and twice in the last few months he's ended up at the ER (emergency room)....Burt wasn't happy about it, but he checked in, went through detox and then joined a regular 30-day rehab program."
