Hi all,

I know no one is probably reading this anymore since, I'm such a neglectful blogger but, here is the last news in my life.

Last Feb., I went to visit my brother in LA. I went to Disneyland and the LA Natural History Museum and whale watching. There are some pictures up on my
Flickr page.

I'm still working the same job and living the same place. Nothing really changes much these days.

Next week, I'm taking a mini vacation to the northern part of my state. Will post pictures sometime after I return.

Mom and I went to the World Wildlife Zoo, a couple of weeks ago. Its a small zoo that is local to me. Its a very cool place. They have 4 Bengal Tiger Cubs!! They are so cute.

I am off work today and tomorrow. Today, I spent with Molly. She has taught herself a new trick. She can open the lower kitchen cabinets. :-(
She can somehow push it open with her front paw and her nose. I watched her do it and still not sure what she did.

Also, I watched "Live Free and Die Hard" on DVD. Its ok. Not the worst of the series but, not near as good as the original. 7/10

Work has gotten a little better. Still really busy but, a little less stressful.

Long time no update

Well, as usual I haven't posted in a long time. It usually takes someone commenting to motivate me. Thanks Donna.

I have been working my ass off at work. We have been really busy at work with the holidays coming. We have "new" photo development equipment that is a total pain. It is broken at the moment and we have orders piling up all over. And when u add to that all the bitching shoppers and tired co-workers, it been a rather unpleasant place lately. One of the managers even Hates Christmas.

As to other things, I haven't really done much. I have been playing Sims 2 again a lot. I have gotten tired of Pirates online already. I am thinking of canceling my subscription. There is too much repetitiveness with it. Most of the quests are to kill the same easy mobs over and over again and at the the level my character is most of them are one hit kills. I am even thinking about going to back to WoW. Man, I must be bored with it. I am still looking forward to SPORE but, It has been pushed back to March now.

As to new stuff, I am think about joining a gym. I need to find a way to unwind after work and a few people have recommended working out. There is a 24/7 one a few miles from home.

I haven't read that book yet that I talked about in Oct. I just can't motive myself to do it with all the other things going on.

On TV, I have been watching Survivor, Pushing Daisies (new one tomorrow night) and Kid Nation(last episode tomorrow). I have given up on Heroes and Journeyman. Not because they aren't good but, do to lack of time. I may catch up this summer or with a DVD release. I will probably watch LOST when it starts in Jan.

I haven't seen any of the new movies. I want to see Enchanted and the Golden Compass but, the stupid time thing again.

I spent my last time off getting work done on my car and getting new shoes for work. I haven't even done my Christmas shopping yet :-(

Well, thats about it. "I'm spent. Its quiting time." Christian Slater in Pump Up the Volume (If u haven't seen it rent it!!)

New Book to Read and TV

Going to try to read "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer. It was recommended by Carl at Stainless Steel Droppings a while back. Someone else recommended it also but, I can't remember whom. As usually, it will probably be a long time before I finish it. It takes a really good novel to keep me interested. The last one was "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". That one I read in 2 days. I couldn't put it down.

I saw Reaper for the first time last night. I TIVOed it. I thought it was pretty funny and entertaining. Very Kevin Smith... Not sure if a non-Smith fan would like it. He is one of the directors and from some of the dialog it sounds like he is also involved in the writing.

Blog changes and life update

I have made a few changes around here. I have cleaned up the links. I have removed some of the ones that are no longer blogging and some of the ones I am no longer interested in.

Sadly, Trinity and Claire are among those. :-(

I no longer play World of Warcraft so, that has left as well. I have gotten bored with it and I have canceled my subscription for good this time, I think. I have started playing Elder Scrolls : Oblivion. Its pretty fun so far.

I am looking forward to SPORE. It looks amazing if u haven't heard about it.

Also, Pirates of the Caribbean Online looks interesting. Its still in beta testing but, it looks good.

On to other things... Molly the puggle's 1st birthday was last week. My dad had a party for her. It was fun until the doggie ice cream came out. Molly got a little selfish and started to growl and snap at anyone that came near her ice cream and she started taking it from others. It was kinda embarrassing. My dad gave her a time out and she was ok once all the food went away. I will put some pictures up later on when I get around to editing them.

I saw Transformers last week. Very good movie. I was very impressed. I had been a fan of the cartoon as a kid and wasn't expecting much of a live action movie based on it. 8/10

Fall TV watching.

New shows that I like:
Pushing Daises (love it. most original show i have seen in years.)
Kid Nation (Ok reality show. It has its moments.)
Journeyman (kinda similar to "Quantum Leap" )

Old favorites:
Heroes(Katie Bell is great as shocker girl as is Copy Cat, Mikka's cousin. They are both great new characters.)
Law and Order SVU
Survivor
C.S.I (This show has lost it a little but, I still TIVO it.)

Lunar Eclipse

Last night's Lunar Eclipse was beautiful. The moon turned a blood orange color. I tried to take a couple of pictures but, my camera not good enough, but anyway...(I love my camera BTW)

I posted on Flickr a couple of shots of our night blooming cactus.

There are so many simple surprise that show up from living in the desert.

My parents and Molly are on vacation. I miss them especially Molly. Its so weird how such a little creature can change ur life.

I watched "the last mimzy" a couple of days ago. It is ok, not great. I am glad I didn't go see it when it was in the theatres. 3/5

Today is my birthday. I got a new camera so, there will be new photos coming to my Flickr page. :-)

It was a nice day. Went out to lunch with my parents at a Mexican restaurant. Food was good. We skipped the movie, might go tomorrow.

Other than that I just messed around and played with my new camera. Its a Canon 8 MP with a 4x optical zoom. It is a huge improvement over my old 3 MP.

Harry Potter

I have finished reading the last (/cry) Harry Potter book. It is great, best of the series!!!. I won't say any more about it because I don't want to ruin it for u all.

Tomorrow is my birthday. Probably going to see Stardust and then go out to dinner somewhere. Thats all for now....

Hi all,

Haven't updated in a while and my cousin has been asking me to so, here goes.

First off, I'm still working as a Photo Tech at the same place. Not really sure why I have stayed so long. I guess I have gotten comfortable there and honestly, it really hasn't got bad enough to motivate me to look hard for another job.

I haven't been doing much besides working. I have seen a few movies this summer (Harry Potter 5, Spiderman 3, Fantastic Four 2, and Ratatouille). I like all of them.

I am hoping to see "The Simpsons Movie" and "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" soon. They both look really funny. I am a huge "Simpsons" fan and hope its good. I have been in love with the show since it first started back when I was in college.

I have given up of World of Warcraft (WoW) for a while. I started playing Lord of the Rings Online (LTRO). I like it so far. Its similar to WoW but, the questing system is better, at least its different. I am still looking forward to the release of Spore.

I bought the new Harry Potter Book but, it hasn't arrived yet. I got it from Amazon.

I have the next two days off. Want to do something fun but, haven't decide what yet.

Mini Vegas Trip Report (second week of Feb.)

We had a good time.

The Star Trek Experience is really cool. I thought that the Borg part was awesome. The museum and the Klingon encounter was ok.

Blue Man Group Show. Fantastic. One of the most amazing things I have ever seen. It is very hard to describe. Best way I can think of is a strange mix of a Rock concert and Extremely weird performance art.

Madam Tussauds at Vegas was pretty good. We got free tickets for it as part of the Blue Man group package. Its not as good as the one in London but, still good.

Mac King's Magic Show. Neat almost free magic show at Harrahs. It is a very funny and entertaining magic show in the afternoon.

Also, we walked around a lot. Lots of stuff to just look at in Vegas. Favorites were the Ventiatin (Spelling)and Paris.

I didnt gamble much. I was very disapointed at the high table limits for BlackJack and Rollette. I hate the slot machines.

Had a good time though. I had want to see the Star Trek thing for like ten years and the Blue Man Group was worth the trip.

Well, its been a long time since if felt like doing this. Honestly, I got really bored with and found other interests. Work has been much busier and write is the last thing I have felt like doing.

I still work as a photo tech. Its been almost a year now, and man do i need a vacation. I am supposed to get a week after a year. I hope i will. I can't wait much longer. I want to go to Las Vegas or Disneyland both are fairly close (like 5 hours drive). Vegas has the Star Trek Experience and I have wanted to check it out since it opened. And well Disneyland is the closest amusement park to where i currently like. I miss my coasters. Knotts Berry Farm is near there too. I might do a 2 park trip.

Work has been crazy. Its been busy and we only have 2 good photo techs, that includes me. The have hired a third but, I not sure yet. So, far she seems like she will be good.

Recreation has been computer games and movies for the most part. Sims 2 and WoW, if u havent guessed. As to Wow, I have 2 60s now. The second is a hunter. A very fun class. Some people call it easy mode but, its the only class i have been having fun with lately soloing. I started a druid. Its fun. It might also be a good soloing class. He is still a lowbie but, it is fun so far. With Sims 2 i have the new expansion "Pets". Its ok.

Movies:

I have seen Borat, Casino Royale and The Prestige. All three were good for different reasons. Borat was the funniest thing i have seen in years but, it is shocking. But, Casino Royale and The Prestige were good dramas. I like the bond movie but, not the new bond. Not exactly sure why. I think he isn't smooth enough.

I also have been watching a lot of tv. LOST, HEROES and Survivor are my favorites this year.

I was messing with the camera tonight and I think i will put them up on flickr if anyone is interested...

Clerks 2!!!

Had a good day yesterday. Started good, Had the day off.

About 12:30 pm went out to McDuffy's for lunch and a little horse racing. It was crowded and it took a long time to get waited on but, the food was good. I bet on 2 races. Won the first one but lost money on it. Bet the exacta on a four horse race. Man, am I stupid. The ticket cost more than I won. LOL. Live and learn, right?

The other race, I bet a long shot on a whim. The horse almost won too. He was beat out at the last second by the favorite. He lost by like a 1/2 of a second.

About 2pm, I went to see "Clerks 2". Now, I will warn u that i am a self admitted Smith fanboy. So, this review may be a little biase.

I loved the movie. Laughed my ass off. It was great to see all the characters back again. The movie shows as usual what a genius writer Kevin Smith is. I don't know if the movie is for everyone. There are a lot of inside jokes as usual and u have to be a movie/pop culture geek to get some of the humor but, I loved it. Clerks 1 and Chasing Amy were better but, I would rank this as his third best (followed closely by Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back). 8/10

After seeing the movie i rented "Conversations with Kevin Smith". This is a very funny "lecture" Kevin gave at Kent State University. This "movie" is just kevin on a stage telling stories and answering questions asked by a live audience. A must see for any Smith fan. BTW, the film is 4 hours long, just a warning. 8/10

Thats about it. Off again tommorow. Thinking about going to see Monster House. Not sure though. Laters....

Clerks 2 comes to Friday!!!!

The sequel to one of the greatest comedies of all time comes out Friday. Kevin Smith is my all time favorite Writer/Actor/Director. We finally get to find out if Dante finally does something with his life.

If u haven't seen "Clerks", now is the time before the sequel is released. I actually work with someone that hasn't seen it. I was shocked because I thought she was pretty cool.

The early reviews are coming out pretty good. I can wait :-)

Things at work have been ok. A new photo guy starts today a work. I hope he is good at it.

As, usually not much else is going on. I tried to watch the second season of Deadwood on DVD. I can't get into it, which is weird because I really like the first season. I am sending it back to day.

Just some random thoughts for today.

I got a new game for my PC. "Star Wars Battlefront 2" has finally hit the bargain basement so, I picked up a copy. I have been waiting for this to happen for like 6 months. I refuse to pay 50 dollars for a game any more. (20 bucks is a lot better.) Now on to the review....

The game is awesome. I have played the first version and also both incarnations of the Battlefield game. This one is a great improvement on the first Battlefront and as good as Battlefield two. The best part of it is that u now can play as one of the JEDI!!!! This is awesome. If u meet some game objectives in the current game, u temporary unlock a jedi. My favorite so far is Yoda. On to other parts, the graphics and AI are much better. Also, there are some cool new battlefields. Over all its a lot of fun. 8/10

Tommorow is another day off. I have to work tonight though. Not sure what I'm going to do. Can anyone offer any suggestions? (Don't recommend doing anything outside thought, it is over 110 this week. YUCK!!!) I just read Carl's review of Scanner Darkly . It sounds interesting. I may go see it.

Yesterday, was one of my very best friend's birthday. Happy Birthday D. I really miss her. I wish I could have celebrated with her. She lives 2000 miles away... :-(

I talked to her on the phone a little bit today which was really nice. She was at work so, didnt get to talk long. She said she would call me back tommorow :-)

Also, I have changed the page design a little. I set a new template and changed the order of the links around. The blogger links are now order with the ones i read regularly on top and others that i look at occasionally lower down. Does anyone know how to make the heading banner linkable without screwing up the page design? Like it has been for like 3 months.

Pirate life for me

I saw pirates of the caribean 2 on Sat. I really liked it for the most part. The acting and action was great. It was entertain the whole way thru. Jack Sparrow is becoming one of my favorite characters of all time.He is up there with Han Solo, Tyler Durden(Fight Club) Dante Hicks(Clerks). The only problem with the movie was the ending. I dont want to spoil it but, It left me a little empty. Dont get me wrong it is a great movie though. 8/10

I havent done much since the 4th except work. So not much else to talk about. Laters.

Today, is the day we celebrate our independence from my country's best friend, England. I love this holiday. Fireworks, picnics, music and fun. I was born in our nation's capital so, I have been around patriotism all my life. Some of my fondist memories are of seeing the huge fireworks displays on The Mall in Washington DC. For those of u that don't know what The Mall is, its a mile long park between the capital and the Washington Monument ("the pencil" as we locals call it. when it was under repair it had another nickname. it was covered in plastic LOL)

I have yesterday and today off from work. Yesterday, I saw Superman Returns. It was very good. Well worth seeing. I was very impressed with the new superman. Very good in the part. He would have made Christoper Reeves proud. Spacey was also good as luthor. Not great, but good. He loses a few points for not being crazy enough. I always picture Lex as crazy, brillant and totally evil. Spacey did brillant and kinda evil. A was also impressed by kate bosweworth as lois lane. I was a little worried about her. (She is blonde and all. Also, she is usually very athletic.) For this role she dyed her hair and stopped exercising so much. She looked great.

On the tube, I have been watching on DVD the 4400. Its a scifi tv series on the USA network. Very good. The first 2 seasons are currently available on DVD. Check it out. Also, have been watching the reality series called Solitary. Very weird but, interesting. Its on fox reality channel which, isnt available everywhere. If u can check it out.

Hello everyone. Nothing really to report. Its just a week since my last update so, I though I would say something.

As usually I have been working a lot. We are a photo tech short so I have been getting more hours, which is a good thing.

I had yesterday and Monday off and did nothing. It was nice I watched a couple DVDs though.

The Producers. Which is very good, if u like outragous comedy. Think of Monty Python or Mel Brooks. It has great music and humor. 8/10

As a caviot to my recommendation though my dad hated it and we usually like the same movies.

I also saw some of the director's cut of Clerks. The original is one of my all time favorite movies. Sometimes I think I am Dante Hicks. However, I didnt see parts of it. The copy I rented was scratched badly. This is the second copy I rented so, I guess I will have to buy it. The only difference I notice is the ending.

Minor Spoiler Info follows

In this version Dante is robbed and murder in the last 30 seconds of the movie. What a downer to a very fun and funny movie. I am so glad Kevin Smith changed it for the regular release.

This movie is a 10/10 as far as the orginal version. The director's cut loses a point for the new ending.

Over the Hedge

Saw the new Dreamworks animated movie, Over the Edge. I really like it. Its very funny and entertaining. This movie had good writing and some of the best voice acting I have ever seen. Its one of those movies that had a lot of movie references. Raiders of the Lost Ark was a big one. The best was Shatner as the Possumn. He does a his classic self impersonation bit, but it was funny in this role. 8/10
