This flaw is also contained in Office 2007 SP2 service pack.

Word LX uses document variables to control a number of features in the system. The most obvious one is named "papertype" and controls the way MultiPrint sends documents to the printer. When you print using "Final" the value of the "papertype" variable is used to decide what paper source to use during the print job. The Microsoft patch corrupts this value and the document will no longer print as expected. This corruption appears to happen in both docx and compatibility mode doc style documents created edited with Word 2007!

There are two methods work around this serious bug:

You must uninstall both SP2 for Office 2007 and uninstall the KB969604 patch and mark these to be ignored by any automatic Windows Update mechanisms (so they aren't automatically re-installed)

OR

Request and install the Microsoft Hot Fix ID KB970942 (posted June 30, 2009). Select Attendees on a per item basisThe latest release of Infoware's MasterCal Calendar Tool (released December 12, 2008) now allows Administrators to select and process a 'one-off' list of Attendees for each individual MasterCal appointment. Simply select the new MasterCal Tab on the Appointment form and display your Firm's Global Address List to select Attendees.

Setting Attendees on an item will over-ride the Calendar folder's default Attendees list - only the Attendees listed on the MasterCal form will receive updates for this Appointment. If an Attendee is removed from this list then MasterCal will delete the appoinment from this Attendee's Calendar while still pushing updates for the current appointment to the remaining/new Attendees in the list.

If you do not set Attendees on the Appointment item itself then MasterCal will use the default Attendees list in the Calendar folder's Description field.

The Infoware Teamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04655972531187766841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12318912.post-68569783039302740052008-12-11T17:09:00.000-08:002009-02-23T18:44:38.924-08:00InForm Court Form Updates - Ontario Litigation (OntCourt)An update to the OntCourt form suite was released December 11, 2008 for InForm court form suite subscribers.

Added Forms:

AE - Affidavit of Service (Email)

Updated Forms:

CFTST (Certification Form to Set Pre-Trial and Trial Dates) - PM2 (Pre-Trial Memorandum (Toronto)

PMF2 (Pre-Trial Memorandum (Toronto)(Full Style)

CLRQ1 (Commercial List – 9:30 Hearing Request Form)

CLRQ2 (Commercial List – Request Form New Matter)

CLRQ3 (Commercial List – Request Form Continuing Matter)

If you have any further questions regarding this update, please contact us at Infoware Support.

The Infoware Teamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04655972531187766841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12318912.post-64571918675408241742008-06-09T07:09:00.000-07:002008-12-12T10:04:24.378-08:00InForm Court Form Update - Tax Court (TaxCourt)An update to the TaxCourt form suite was released June 6, 2008 for InForm court form suite subscribers.

This version of TaxCourt is intended to work with the new InFormLib.dll. The forms precedents are provided to the public in a consolidated PDF document containing all of the forms. We have made the forms more user-friendly by breaking them down into individual Word documents. The forms are easy to access using our form index. They are also easy to edit, save and store electronically.

Ontario Business Corporations Act (OntBCA)

The OntBCA suite contains all of the forms under the Ontario Business Corporations Act. These forms are provided to the public in PDF versions. Again, we have reproduced the forms as individual Word documents which can be easily edited and saved. Our forms allow users to edit in multiple sessions as well as maintain an electronic record.

Both of the new forms suites can be used standalone or in conjunction with our Legal Extensions product. Word Legal Extensions adds tools that make powerful and complex features of Word more accessible. Each new button gives users direct access to particular features of Word without having to go through the menus or deal with extraneous options.

Due to Microsoft's visual remodelling, our interface has changed in the Word 2007 environment. We offer the same great toolset in a MS ribbon as opposed to a custom toolbar along the left hand margin.

InForm court forms are add-in court suites for your word processor which provide a fast, consistent and easy tool for creating standard court documents.

Both products are supported by Matter Master, our backend SQL database. Matter Master allows for the storage of client and matter-specifice data for use with Word.

If you're currently thinking of upgrading your firm to the Word 2007, we can assist.
