WCG|Rider big mistake ... got a new stake.

WCGRider made a big mistake in his actions, but nevertheless it looks like it will turn out for the best. After posting on a discussion board the dispute most people took his side, because he has a good reputation there, wrote more eloquently, and bent the truth. In addition to the normal personal attacks on message boards, lots of people even said I would never get staked again.

However, at least some people must have read it and saw my side and I got another staking offer unsolicited. I accepted that stake, which was for a larger amount $5000 instead of $1000, does not have the max tables of 6 limit, and it not only allows NL($2) games, but NL($4) games when they are juicy.

Will report results from the stake daily in the blog.

The staker was WCG|Rider.

I sent him an email asking why he thought it was fair and that we would settle up tomorrow. In the end of the email I told him I was going to sleep. Instead he calls me up and says I have to get up out of bed right now and ship him the money.

So instead of having more controversy that is what I am doing right now, it is not worth $100 to me. Everyone should know about his character and doing business with him.

Poker and life downswing forthcoming for him IMO.

The staker decided today to quit the stake.
However, it was a 4-week agreement, that he ended after 2 weeks.

He 'bankrolled'' me with $1000, and I have sent him $598.40 in profits over the 2 weeks.

For ending the stake early I think I should get some sort of "bonus" (I suggested $100, but he disagreed), since an early ending was not part of the original agreement.

What do you think?

I haven't play so few tables (6) in a while and probably wouldn't have if I was not in this staking agreement.

I ran really well, played with more confidence since I had no risk, and took advantage of a lot of opportunites that I probably usually miss when 24-tabling.

I entered a staking agreement which will last at least 4 weeks.
It will be for 6-tabling NL($2), PL($2), and/or NL($2)(6-max).
All other levels will be under my own account.

I did have a nice $800 win yesterday on my own account at the NL/PL($1) levels and was playing great and running great. However, when things are not going as well it is a lot less enjoyable. I should be able to enjoy poker more playing less tables and I should play better as well since this is a "no risk" stake and will provide me peace of mind.

I say "no risk" because the most likely outcome in my mind is that I will just be giving money to the staker, but it will provide me some relief as it is no risk. Each week I either send half of my profits, or he will reimburse me my losses. Losses are carried forward to the next week. He sent me $1,000 to start with, which buffers me so I can still play my normal limits if I have a downswing. I think without this staking agreement I would not have the discipline to play just 6 tables at a time too.

I am hoping that if I make him money 4-weeks in a row, then he will move up the stake to NL($4) ... etc., but that has not been discussed yet. Let's see how things go.

Wasted $1,050 on limit hold'em this month, I have to stop playing that altogether. I am not very good at it, and the variance is huge.

Won $1,250 when I took a shot at NL($10)(heads-up). The guy was pretty bad (he played overly tight and straight-forward, which is why I played him), but it helped when I flopped the nut flush and stacked him, when he turned a straight.

Overall I feel like I have been running awful, and I am pretty sure I am not playing optimally either.

28,000 VPP needed until 300,000 for the $2,200 is the focus.

16 buyins below EV in 1 hour.

Basically lost the equivalent of 16 coin flips in 1 hour ($10 buyins at NL($0.50)(6-max)).

Was at low stakes because I keep losing.
I can't do anything, I keep getting my money in good and losing.
I am on my 5th month in a row of being way below allin EV.

I am doubting the randomness of this.
The games are getting slightly harder as well.
Need 33,000 more VPP for the 300,000 $2200 milestone after which I will evaluate seriously whether or not there is any point continuing.

Top set still no good in my next session after I flat his 3-bet preflop, check-call flop and turn allin then ... boom 2 outer like expected.

Maybe I should quit for the day -$400 in EV (ie. five $80 stacks).

I hadn't played NL($1) the last few days due to the flu, and I was not welcomed back kindly.
Here are the biggest losers:

Two coinflips AKvQQ and AKvJJ.
KKvAA and twice allin on the flop with top set vs. rivered flush.

I feel like I should be beating this game for alot of money like some of the other regulars, but I can't seem to play tight enough. I am 5 months in a row below allin EV too, but I can't figure out how to control that either.

The hard drive on my computer died and I lost all my files (poker and otherwise). I had a few important files backed up, but I lost all my databases, pokertracker 2, etc.

Spent nearly 4 hours so far trying to fix, calling Dell for a new OS CD since they never sent me one with the original computer, etc. I will need to buy a hard drive, and try to recover some data with one of those external drive readers.

The new laptop computer I bought doesn't work properly with my 30" monitor, but I guess I can still dual monitor with the laptop + 20" monitor.

I need the break from poker anyway. I did ok last night, but before that it was a 5-day losing streak adding another $500 below allin EV. I don't have enough money in the account to even 24-table NL($1) with full stacks (would need $2800, ie 24x100 + 400 for topping up). It doesn't matter anyway since besides being below EV, I am running horrible in every other way as well (ie. oversetted every day etc.)

I am still not used to playing on the laptop, so I guess it is back to micros for practice.

I have only rebuilt to $1900 in the last 3 weeks, still not enough to play the normal limits.

I would have more from the rebuild except for.
$205 wasted on H/L stud.
$195 wasted on PLO.
$320 wasted on HORSE WCOOP event (20,000 FPP, but is the same).

Welcome back!

I am back from Vegas for the 4th time this year. The tenant has been evicted, and the damage was less than ~$700 plus ~1 month lost rent ~$1,400 after factoring in the security deposit. For a $2,000 loss.

I got a nice welcome back with a $300 redeposit bonus at Pokerstars plus a nice heater ($350 over allinEV). I am half clear with the bonus after 12k hands.

If anyone wants to stake me with a standard 50/50 split at FTP so I can get the bonus there, I will also give half of the bonus to the staker. I cleared the $2000 milestone bonus (free $1200). It felt good. The journey was not as pleasant, being down $600 in allin EV is not fun.
I played 32k hands in 2.5 days to do this. Now I will take a break.

Here are some pictures below. I must comment that I should stop playing NL($1)(6-max). I lost $900 in that level last month and another $900 this month. I can't beat that level for some reason.
