I changed my website around and I seem to have lost a large portion of readers here at this blog. I know spring break has something to do with it, but I'm starting to wonder if I ought to just combine this with my scrap blog?

Daffodils are my favorite for a reason

Daffodils are my very favorite flower. I've always loved their cheery yellow color, but they cemented their status as my all time favorite after I read this:

This has been spread around the internet for years and then was finaly published into a beautiful book. A friend of mine gave it to me for my birthday a few years back and it is still one of my all time favorite gifts.

I hope you all had a chance to look through my new website at www.scrapbooklady.org and read the article I wrote about Scrapbooking with Quotes.

I'm happy to say that my new quote packs are selling well and I've had some great feedback about them. So far the best seller is the Great Women pack, but they are all doing well.

I'm taking tomorrow off from blogging. I've spent soooooo much time at the computer this week that I've let other things fall by the wayside. So I will still fill orders, but now blog entries here or on the Scrapbooking blog on Sunday April 9th.

So I thought it would be fun to share a quote today about taking time off and getting refreshed.

Daylight Savings

The whole daylight savings thing seems like a good idea in the fall, but I'm sitting here at 11:18 p.m. on a spring night thinking it is a terrible idea! My body is sure it is only 10:18 p.m. and thus it is not at all ready to go to bed. But when the alarm goes off at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow - there will be no mercy!

Really...I wish we could just let nature take it's course on this and leave the clocks alone.

I've got some good stuff coming to the quote blog in the next week or so....stay tuned!

I was working on redesigning my entire website yesterday and I got to cleaning up some old email addresses that I don't use anymore. I was being charged an extra $2.00 a month to have the no longer useful email accounts so I decided to delete them and save myself a few bucks. I got a little toooooo zealous with the delete button and I accidentally got rid of my main email account!

I was able to set up the same email account again - but all my saved messages were lost! I had a folder just for quotes that probably had 200 messages saved in it!

Well, I guess I have a clean slate to start with!

Don't worry though... I still have oodles of ideas for quotes to share here. Just wish I had not relied on the e-mail filing system so heavily.

So if I am to believe today's quote, I must be VERY clever!

too busy

I've been busy as a bee the past few days. Haven't even finished my anniversary layout yet. We were too busy to even do much to celebrate our anniversary, but my hubby and I did get a chance to go on a lunch date yesterday.

We all are always trying to strike a balance between being too busy and finding the time to do what is important.

Today's quote is inspired by all of this, and I have to tell you it is profound! I have seen this manifested in my life time and time again.

Are you an optimist?

I try to be, but it is hard. I can into a pretty negative cycle if I let myself. That is why I work so hard at being an optimist.

I have realized that I have to be careful about what I put in - if I want good feelings to come out. For instance, I have a hard time watching tv shows about really difficult subject matters such as terrible crimes. I just internalize it too much and it really gets me down to think about all the awful stuff that goes on in the world.

I do believe in being informed and keeping up with the news, but I also need to regulate how much negative stuff I feed my brain.
