No Shame Iowa City Spring 09!

Hey there all you No Shamer's and No Shame attendees. I posting today to tell you the good news that the No Shame Board has come to a basic agreement with the U of I Theatre Department and we are glad to announce that No Shame will be back in it's regular home this semester. Our first show is scheduled to be January 30th in Theatre B!

Those wishing to perform: Just bring a copy of your script to the Theatre Lounge or Lobby (depending on where the board members are) at 10:30 that night and you're in. First timers get in automatically.

To those attending: The doors will open around 11pm as usual. Admission is still $1. Hope to see you all there.

Iowa City No Shame Best Of Nominations

Right now it looks like our next show on Dec. 5 will be our Dead Week show - probably, we are still working things out. Dead Week is the show before the Best Of show, where pieces will not be eligible for Best Of because the Best Of order will have been decided and then will be announced at the end of the Dead Week show. But we have realized we are nearing the end of this season and we haven't yet announced Best Of nominations. So look through the archives for this season at noshame.org and tell us which pieces were your favorites!

ALSO there is no show this upcoming Friday. The weekend before thanksgiving. We will return on December 5th. A post for Best Of nominations will be posted in the upcoming days/week.

Another point of interest is the Alley Cabaret show going on at the Englert this weekend. I believe their show goes up Thursday and Friday. Doors open at 11:30 in the back alley behind the Englert. Tickets are $5 at the door. They will be plugging our last two shows.
