Noelle at the Folsom Power House

Had a great time photographing Noelle last Thursday at the Folsom Power House (1st powerhouse west of Mississippi, built by inmates at Folsom Prison in the 1890's). Thursday was an awful day....it was 107 degrees and humid (down by Lake Natoma) and to top it all off, the fires that have been devastating Calif. had left smoke so bad that it looked like a brown"marine layer" that hangs over the coast. But, the up side??? The light was awesome and it gave us nice rich warm tones. Thanks Noelle.

Cori & Michael's Wedding

Last Saturday, the 24th of May, we had the pleasure to photography Cori and Michael. They were married in the afternoon at the Historic Woodland Hotel. A turn of the century hotel in Woodland California. The wedding went off without a hitch... very smoothly. This was a busy wedding and we captured a "LOT" of images... here are just a few of them.

We did another E session (engagement) this weekend while we were at Bodega. My Nephew, Michael and his lovely fiance, Cori are getting married in May. They have both just been accepted into Medical School and we are all so proud of them...Good luck guys

This past weekend we did our bi annual trip to Bodega Bay to photograph clients. This time one of the couples was Justin and Kristy. We are photographing their wedding in August of this year.
These folks were really a lot of fun. The weather was awesome and hardly any wind...well, for Bodega.....LOL

Field Trip to Old Sacramento

Last night I had opportunity to take the class I teach, at Sacramento City College, to Old Sacramento for a bit of a fashion shoot. It was fun and the students seemed to Enjoy it. Our model, looked great and was a great sport about letting everyone have a chance. Enjoy.

Off to Bodega Bay

Every Spring and Fall, we travel to Bodega Bay, about 3 hrs away to photograph people on the beach...since we do this bi-annually, we schedule everyone on the same days and that way, we dont have to charge an extra location fee.
Here are some images from this weekends "photo-fest". Plan to meet us there in April 08.

We have heard this a few times over time..."I know you have been in the area for years, but where is your studio located"?
About 2 years ago, we moved from Diamond Springs, where we shared space with Sugar Photography, to Shingle Springs where we maintain an office/sales/consultation space. Since we do all of our photography work on location, we don't use a big studio. We are located on Motherlode Dr. between Shingle Springs Honda and Family Chevrolet, at 4068 Motherlode Dr. We are upstairs from Cafine cuisine. We sometimes photograph here as we have an awesome window for lighting. If you would like to come by, call first (409 7733) as we are open by appointment only.

Digital...

Everyone knows that Digital is the hottest thing in Photography. We will be perusing this during 2nd semester, where 1/2 of the assignments will be digital.

You do NOT need to go out and purchase a digital camera. If you don’t have one, you can scan film and do your assignments. If you already have one, you may use it for your assignments during 2nd semester

Allen & Sally's Wedding

Wow, what a fun wedding. Carla and I went to Pollock Pines to their old family Tree Farm and photographed one of the most relaxed weddings ever.
Sally looked great, and Allen...well it was Allen. Full of fun and easy going.
They are Honeymooning in Lake Tahoe. They were able to take their new Ipod, that we provided, with their wedding images on them, with them when they left the wedding.

Bodega Bay

This past weekend, we did our semi annual pilgrimage to Bodega Bay. This is a beautiful little hamlet along the Sonoma Coast of Calif. We generally bring clients here to shoot on the beach and the weather was awesome...a bit on the breezy side, but nice. The town has changed alot from when Alfred Hitchcock based the story and filmed "The Birds" here in the 60's. Actually, the town isn't much bigger, just different.

This weekend, we met Kat and Alex there to do their e session. They are getting married in July, and since we are doing the wedding, we did the engagement setting. I have known Kat for quite a few years and Alex is a perfect fit.

Logan and Jennilee's Wedding in San Diego

We had sooooo much fun with this wedding. It is our youngest son and his new bride. Jennilee is from San Diego, so we drove down there this past weekend. What a great couple that really know how to have fun. They will be making their new home in Provo Ut, while she finishes college. We wish them the best of luck and love....
