He does love it.. and he sleeps in it pretty oftin..<br /><br /><a href="http://www.kimmishknitting.com/uploaded_images/AlfredsKittyPiYarn-719927.JPG"><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://www.kimmishknitting.com/uploaded_images/AlfredsKittyPiYarn-713918.JPG" border="0" /></a><center>Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky in Yukon</center><br /><br />It all begins with the yarn. I really liked knitting with this yarn.. I started knitting on December 12th 2006.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.kimmishknitting.com/uploaded_images/KittyPiKnitted1-782401.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://www.kimmishknitting.com/uploaded_images/KittyPiKnitted1-775500.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br />Here it is all knitted up.. It ended up being REALLY BIG.. which I understand is good for felting.. I modified the pattern a little by putting a hem at the edge instead of the fluffy eyelash yarn around the edge.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.kimmishknitting.com/uploaded_images/KittyPiKnitted2-749642.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://www.kimmishknitting.com/uploaded_images/KittyPiKnitted2-746941.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br />Feburary 23rd was felting day, so I put it in a zippered pillow case and threw in some old stiff towels and washed it, I think a total of 4 times with hot wash and cold rinse. And it came out like this:<br /><br /><a href="http://www.kimmishknitting.com/uploaded_images/KittyPiFelted-773967.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://www.kimmishknitting.com/uploaded_images/KittyPiFelted-770890.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br />I took our plastic cake dome/transporter thingie and put towels around it to make a drying rack for it. I think I actually need something with a bigger diameter to make it really work properly.. but I'm just not sure what that could be. I'd like to give it a shot because even though when it came out all standing up and pretty, after a while it got really... well.. floppy. Now it's balled up in the corner.. and I'm not sure how to fix it. But like I said.. Alfred likes it anyway:<br /><br /><a href="http://s89652330.onlinehome.us/knittingblog/uploaded_images/AlfredinKittyPi1-778164.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://s89652330.onlinehome.us/knittingblog/uploaded_images/AlfredinKittyPi1-775611.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s89652330.onlinehome.us/knittingblog/uploaded_images/AlfredinKittyPi2-725244.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://s89652330.onlinehome.us/knittingblog/uploaded_images/AlfredinKittyPi2-722048.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br />So I don't really know why the sides don't stand up properly.. I think maybe I need to felt it one more time.. AND dry/block it on something larger.. but I don't really know... I want to work on it soon though.. cause it just makes me sad.<br /><br />But to leave you with something more positive.. Alfred and I bring you an artsey type picture.<br /><br /><a href="http://s89652330.onlinehome.us/knittingblog/uploaded_images/ArtsyAlfred-739067.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://s89652330.onlinehome.us/knittingblog/uploaded_images/ArtsyAlfred-735665.JPG" border="0" alt="" /></a><center>The fuzzyness intrigues you.<br /></center>Kimhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15446673625511874887noreply@blogger.com
