I'm worried I might be developing an allergy to cats. Ever since I've been home this holiday I've had a scratchy feeling in my throat, like I'm about to get ill, but I haven't. And when I hug either of the cats in a way that brings them close to my face my nose itches.

Following on from yesterday's post - I had a tutorial today with some-one who kept saying 'pacifically' instead of 'specifically'.

Edit- Clearly by yesterday, I mean 'the last day on which I blogged'.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

It turns out I have been using the word 'demotic' entirely incorrectly. I had a lecture today by some-one who kept using it in relation to Stanley Baldwin. I got very confused, as Baldwin was not very demon-like.

1) Surely destroying all the spinning wheels in the kingdom did bad things to the economy.

2) If your 16-year old said they were in love with some-one they met 'once upon a dream' you would be very worried.

I went to away to Ireland! It was great, but now I'm back. And I still have to finish my essay and talk to the student loans people. At least now I know I'm getting some money from them now.

The stuff in chillis which is burny, capsicum, is not water soluble and you should therefore wash your hands in oil after handling chillis.

Also, getting chilli on spots burns.
