We are very excited to annouce some wonderful news! Our co-breeders Heritage Hills have a beautiful litter of hairless AHTs! Here are some pics of their adorable babies! Puppies growing up fast and some news!

Well our puppies are growing fast and already passed puppy kindergarden and on to more advanced training and games! Buster, Digger, Tykkie and Jasmine are doing scent detection training puppy games, and Lexi (named Wylka) has started puppy agility already.
We have aome exciting news! Our co-breeder in South Carolina has toy size AHT puppies!

Little Lexi's send off to her new home! Her mommy drove 10 hours to come here to meet us and get Lexi! Lexi did well on her trip home and is settling in :)

Some news on Jasmine, her new dad had sudden family problem arise, and can no longer take little Jasmine. So she is available! She is cute, snuggly and ready for her family!

8 Week Update and Puppies Explore the Yard

Well the puppies has a lot of fun playing outside, under the watchful eye of AuntieMom Jadzie. Jadzie's been their second mommy since they were 3 weeks old and nursed little Tykkie to help him through. She's as much mommy to them as Pinkee and they all love having two mommies!

They got their first shot this week at 8 weeks of age and definitely didn't seem too happy about it! Only one cried, little Tykkie. The rest whimpered a little. Poor little ones, we always feel so bad for them, but it must be done :)

Sadie goes home this weekend to her family, and probably Celeste as well. Lexi and Jasmine are off weekend after next. Boo hoo!!! We're sad :( It all seems so fast. Tykker is staying a bit longer until he is ready to go to his family. Digger and Buster are staying here with us. Here are pictures of our little family enjoying the yard on a rare warm day!

The Puppies' Big Day Out!

Well seven weeks have flown by and the pups are definitely keeping us busy! Buster and Digger went to the vet office's open house BBQ on Sunday and had a geat time meeting people! This week the rest go to the local dog club's meeting to socialize and meet lots of new friends :) Here are 7 week photos of the puppies enjoying a rare warm September moment in the sun. They spent a few minutes puttering around and playing then as typical for young puppies they got hungry! Here is Tykker in the food bowl eating! :)

6 whole weeks

So it has now been six weeks. They sure are growing like little weeds! Today the puppies recieved their first dewormer, mmmmmm! Some like it, and some don't. It has been quite hectic around here with 6 week old puppies. We have been busy with introducing puppies to new toys, sounds, and people. They are all very outgoing, and love to explore new things around the house. And they've found a new playmate, our fosterdog Jacey loves them! She's the black and white dog in the picture above, she's available for adoption through Minpinerie if anyone is interested!
Little "or should I say not so little" Buster has almost doubled the size of the rest, and little Celeste has taken the title of smallest of the litter; as Tykker has gone through a growth spurt! Here they are, our 6 week old little sharkies!

Four weeks old already!

Well after our busy few days we decided to give poor Pinkee a break for a bit, and have another picture day for the pups! Pinkee's been trying hard to keep up with our 4 week old gang, but they're starting to tire her out :)
So here are the pic's! In order of biggest to littlest (and let me tell ya, they are all growing so fast right now)!

We have .....

Buster, he is the biggest from the litter and the one getting into the most trouble! He's a handful already, just like his dad! He is starting to play with toy's and love's to chomp on fingers, and noses! Another game he likes to play is "follow Daddy"! If Scooby walks by, Buster will stop what ever he is doing, and follow Scooby where ever he goes, it's very cute!

Digger, she's following in Buster's footsteps for sure, she's on her way to being a michief maker too :) Digger is named after her late grandmother, Digger McGurk. She is definitly the most dominate of the female's and likes to bounce around chomping all the other puppies!

Sadie, she is outgoing and fun loving. She also like's to climb up on high objects, so she can be a handfull to watch. If you turn your head for one second, there she is up on the wood pile, or trying to get onto something else that is way to high for a puppy to be on!

Jasmine, she is just a little cutie! She seems to really like cuddling, but will also add in a few chomps here and there, almost as if she wants to remind you that her father is Scooby LOL! It's almost like a game for her "look at me, I'm soooo cute ..... CHOMP!!!!"

Lexi, she is a cutie pie! She has an adorable smile and loves to cuddle. She also like's to try and keep up with Sadie's climbing habit, but does quite have the co-ordination yet, but she is getting better everyday! I fully except that one day very soon, I'll find the two of them walking on the ceiling or something!

Celeste, she is a quiet, pretty girl, full of kisses and snuggles, her favorite thing to do is sit cuddled up in your hands :) Celeste is a small girl, likely an under 10lbs adult.

Tykker, well what can we say about our little Tykker, he sure is an adventurous little guy, he loves to explore and goes off to find new things all on his own. He's a hearty eater and a strong little guy that loves to climb on your lap! Tykker is a toy size boy, likely an under 10lb adult. Small in size, but big in heart!

The puppies go on vacation!

Well we all had quite an adventure! The puppies, Pinkee and Scooby all went to visit our friends at Heritage Hills (see http://www.american-hairless-terriers.com/) for Heritage Hills' website!). They all had a great time visiting,

the puppies socialized and met new friends, ate, played and had a blast! Their personalities are starting to come out more and they're putting around, exploring and learning new things.

Of course, Scooby was assigned babysitting duty while we visited the Heritage Hills gang for a bit, and you can see how happy he was with this arrangement :)

What a day! We'd like to thank our wonderful hosts at Heritage Hills for having us visit :)

Well our little ones are almost 3 weeks old and getting adventurous! We have a name change, Nova's name is now Celeste :) Little Tykker continues to improve, and he even has an extra special mommy of his own, our very own Jadzie has nicely offered him some extra milk! Jadzie seems to always have milk and loves puppies! She was soooo happy to have little Tykker to nurse. They are getting really cute, toddling around on unsteady feet. They like to toddle and tumble around on a little play mat we have for them. They're starting to play with each other and we're even hearing the occasional little puppy bark or grumble! Here are Buster and Digger, the two most active and outgoing little ones thinking about making the big leap out of their puppy den!

Digger: "Do you think we should sneak out?"

Buster: "I don't know, what do you think?"

Digger: "What if Mom catches us!"

Buster: "She might!"

Digger: "She'd be mad, really mad"

Buster: "Let's do it anyway!!"

And then, guess who catches them? DAD! And he certainly was all miffed that they had toddled over to HIS bed and peed on it!!

It's Picture Day!

Well our little family is now 2 weeks old and it's Picture day! We're still on 3-4 hour feedings with little Tykker but things are going well, his sniffles are almost gone and he's getting strong enough to nurse on his own :) So we're really happy!! (and still tired, but of course, Scooby is the most tired). The other 6 puppies are all doing well, their eyes are all open and they're starting to try to stand on unsteady feet. This is the cute stage! Where they just start to look at you and sort of crawl to your hand to sniff :) We're still having adjustment problems with my Oopies, they feel that 'they are the puppies'

So as you can see, it's hard having Oopies. Oopie and Neo are both all lost and clingy. Oopie does this really funny thing, he paws at us to sit in between us all the time and makes little unhappy noises about how we spend waaaay too much time with the puppies. So on to our new family! (Of course Oopie and Neo are saying we did not write enough about them, we should have really written more) Pictures went well, they're active and fussy and it was hard to get them to stay still, but we took a bunch of each little one and from that we got a good one of each! We've named them for now, though the families might have different names for them later on. Oh wait, before we get there....we have a REALLY EMBARASSING picture of you know who. Now he claims, he never had soggy ears, they were always poinked straight up. However, we beg to differ (nooooooooo mom and dad don't post it!) Here we have, the one, the only, SCOOBY AS A PUPPY hee hee!

The little ones are almost 10 days old now and nice pudgy puppies! Little Tykker's sniffles are getting a bit better. He *hates* taking his medicine drops and makes the funniest little faces! He's still on bottle feeding from us, and we separate him and mommy for special nursing time now every 3 hours(the pic of him above is him all tuckered out after a special separate nursing time) We're sooooo sleeeeeepy though he's not ready to go all night yet, so we're all tired but we're all so relieved and happy to see him improving so much. He definitely has an appetite! The Vibactra is definitely working well for him. He gets his meds every 4-6 hours and we can see his cold is improving daily. He still gets his little vicks steam tents and lots of hugs and cuddles :) Speaking of being tired, Scooby claims to be, yet it seems to me that I note something...odd about mom and dad...now here's Mom:

Little Sniffles

Poor little Tykker! He just can't catch a break. We're still on 2 hour feedings and soooooo tired. We're both falling asleep at work and the rest of the gang claims they are 'horribly neglected'. My poor Oopies are following me around, all lost looking and tugging at my pantlegs....saying things like 'but mom, you *used* to love us and hig and cuddle us all the time what happened?' Poor guys. We keep telling them everyone has to sacrifice to help little Tykker, but of course they don't understand. Scooby does of course, he's up nights every night too (at least he says he is!). So far so good with Tykker. We're still not sure he's out of the woods, but he's eating, and he's gaining weight, slowly, but gaining. But now the poor little squirt has a cold! We work up yesterday morning to him with a runny nose, and he started sniffling during the day. We had to rush out last night to a store 2 hours away to buy him some Vibactra and Cold medication. We lucked out in finding a store in driving distance that had some in stock. So he's started on the meds and vick vaporub steam tents to help his stuffiness and congestion. Wouldn't you know it, he's just trying to get over his rough start, and a cold hits. Oopie tends to get them too, especially in fall he'll get a couple cases of the sniffles. Tykker's appetite is still good and he's a hearty eater, despite his sniffles!

We're sooooooo tired

This weekend has been a blur! The little guy, we've named him Tykker is skinny and not eating well. We've been up bottle feeding every two hours. The hardest part is we still can't find goat's milk around here. You'd think in a rural farming area, we could, but no luck! We're feeding a homemade formula from leerburg's site, so far it's working for him :) We're just sooooo tired though. The other 6 look fat and are nursing well. Poor Pinkee is having some 'adjustment troubles', she still wants to go and play outside, and we have to keep reminding her she has to go back inside to tend to her puppies! Surprise!!! A day early, here they come! We were just about to head out to get some last minute supplies for The Big Day, when Pinkee decided today's the day! And of course, in typical Pinkee style, she never said anything. One minute she's out mousing in the woodpile, next minute she decides, now's the time for puppies and gets settled on the sofa! We quickly moved her to her puppy den, and things started out pretty quickly. Everything went smoothly and pretty fast, she was done in just under 2 hours, and 7 babies! They all look good. The first one to come out was a bit skinny, but he seems to be nursing well so all looks ok. Here's a pic with 6 born so far, the seventh to come. There are 3 lemon/apricot, 2 black/tan, and two black/white. 5 girls and 2 boys! We thought we might know 'him' right away when they were born, but now we're not sure which one might be 'him' (or her!). I guess we hoped for a Scooby clone to pop out spitting and kicking, but so far they all seem like nice, mellow little ones :)

It's confirmed! We're having puppies!

Our hopes are confirmed!! Our long, long awaited Pinkee and Scooby litter is coming. For those of you who don't know, poor Scooby has had some troubles with his prostate since the spring. After many vet visits, trips to a holistic vet, and various treatments, our vet finally suggested that neuter (boohoo!!) was the only option. It so happened in the last month before Scooby's neuter, Pinkee came into her season. With an ok from our vet to give it a try, and only a 10-15% chance of conception (Scooby's prostate problem lowered fertility greatly), we gave it a one shot chance at finally having the Scooby litter we've wanted for years. Well guess what!! It worked!! You'd have to know though, with Scooby he'd have found some way to make it work! At 5 weeks we got an ultrasound, and it looked like at least 5 puppies!! Yay!!!
