Jadzie's been their second mommy since they were 3 weeks old and nursed little Tykkie to help him through. She's as much mommy to them as Pinkee and they all love having two mommies!</div><br /><div>They got their first shot this week at 8 weeks of age and definitely didn't seem too happy about it! Only one cried, little Tykkie. The rest whimpered a little. Poor little ones, we always feel so bad for them, but it must be done :)</div><br /><div>Sadie goes home this weekend to her family, and probably Celeste as well. Lexi and Jasmine are off weekend after next. Boo hoo!!! We're sad :( It all seems so fast. Tykker is staying a bit longer until he is ready to go to his family. Digger and Buster are staying here with us. Buster and Digger went to the vet office's open house BBQ on Sunday and had a geat time meeting people! This week the rest go to the local dog club's meeting to socialize and meet lots of new friends :) Here are 7 week photos of the puppies enjoying a rare warm September moment in the sun. They spent a few minutes puttering around and playing then as typical for young puppies they got hungry! Here is Tykker in the food bowl eating! :) <a href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwKDPzOn9kI/AAAAAAAAAHc/mpy2gFVn9ro/s1600-h/IMG_4636.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116796434119128642" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwKDPzOn9kI/AAAAAAAAAHc/mpy2gFVn9ro/s320/IMG_4636.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Hungry little Tykker!<br /><br /><a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwJRsDOn9jI/AAAAAAAAAHU/Y14vpYoKWJU/s1600-h/buster7weeks"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116741943869044274" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwJRsDOn9jI/AAAAAAAAAHU/Y14vpYoKWJU/s320/buster7weeks" border="0" /></a><br />Buster already digging!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwJPWjOn9iI/AAAAAAAAAHM/S2vjly5K6hU/s1600-h/sadie7weeks"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116739375478601250" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwJPWjOn9iI/AAAAAAAAAHM/S2vjly5K6hU/s320/sadie7weeks" border="0" /></a><br />Jasmine enjoying the grass under her toes<br /><br /><div><a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwJNVjOn9hI/AAAAAAAAAHE/tOt1O7FxUJA/s1600-h/jasmine7weeks"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116737159275476498" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwJNVjOn9hI/AAAAAAAAAHE/tOt1O7FxUJA/s320/jasmine7weeks" border="0" /></a><br />Sadie who loves to model!<br /><br /><div><a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwJDXDOn9gI/AAAAAAAAAG8/X6kqVqrOBKQ/s1600-h/lexi7weeks"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116726189929002498" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwJDXDOn9gI/AAAAAAAAAG8/X6kqVqrOBKQ/s320/lexi7weeks" border="0" /></a><br />Lexi stopping to smell the flowers<br /><br /><div><a href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwJBOTOn9fI/AAAAAAAAAG0/zCRPTnSDOWQ/s1600-h/digger7weeks"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116723840581891570" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwJBOTOn9fI/AAAAAAAAAG0/zCRPTnSDOWQ/s320/digger7weeks" border="0" /></a><br />Digger studying an ant!<br /><br /><div><a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwI7WjOn9eI/AAAAAAAAAGs/noeT4t0Ql5M/s1600-h/celeste7weeks"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116717385246045666" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwI7WjOn9eI/AAAAAAAAAGs/noeT4t0Ql5M/s320/celeste7weeks" border="0" /></a><br />And our little Celeste, just enjoying the sun!<br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1175238253349039453-285164596336200384?l=valleyahts.blogspot.com'/></div>American Hairless Terriers in Canadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11034902979463760360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175238253349039453.post-19151218214824164492007-09-15T18:31:00.000-07:002007-10-01T13:39:45.582-07:006 whole weeks<div><div><a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwFSGzOn9aI/AAAAAAAAAGM/L8s1jNqnx9o/s1600-h/jasminediggerjacey.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116460928453834146" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwFSGzOn9aI/AAAAAAAAAGM/L8s1jNqnx9o/s320/jasminediggerjacey.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><div><div><div><div>So it has now been six weeks. They sure are growing like little weeds! Today the puppies recieved their first dewormer, mmmmmm! Some like it, and some don't. It has been quite hectic around here with 6 week old puppies. We have been busy with introducing puppies to new toys, sounds, and people. They are all very outgoing, and love to explore new things around the house. And they've found a new playmate, our fosterdog Jacey loves them! She's the black and white dog in the picture above, she's available for adoption through Minpinerie if anyone is interested!<br />Little "or should I say not so little" Buster has almost doubled the size of the rest, and little Celeste has taken the title of smallest of the litter; as Tykker has gone through a growth spurt! Here they are, our 6 week old little sharkies!</div><div> </div><div><a href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwEMyDOn9VI/AAAAAAAAAFk/xSY9g-hNVxs/s1600-h/celeste6weeks.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116384705669231954" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwEMyDOn9VI/AAAAAAAAAFk/xSY9g-hNVxs/s320/celeste6weeks.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />Valley's Celeste McGurk<br /><br /><a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwEWfTOn9WI/AAAAAAAAAFs/tlj-Or2l1yM/s1600-h/digger6weeks.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116395378662962530" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwEWfTOn9WI/AAAAAAAAAFs/tlj-Or2l1yM/s320/digger6weeks.jpg" border="0" /></a></div><div>Valley's Digger Amber McGurk<br /><br /><a href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwEl-DOn9XI/AAAAAAAAAF0/mnhJk9RLt3U/s1600-h/jasmine6weeks.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116412399618356594" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwEl-DOn9XI/AAAAAAAAAF0/mnhJk9RLt3U/s320/jasmine6weeks.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />Valley's Jasmine McGurk<br /></div><div><a href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwFPmjOn9ZI/AAAAAAAAAGE/kRgE3bsQbDo/s1600-h/buster6weekschomp.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116458175379797394" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwFPmjOn9ZI/AAAAAAAAAGE/kRgE3bsQbDo/s320/buster6weekschomp.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />Valley's Buster "Hannibal" McGurk....aptly named just like Dad, SDK's Scooby "The Jekyl" McGurk (if you may think to ask WHY he's named 'The Jekyl'....you definitely have not met him in person!!!)<br /></div><div><a href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwFVpjOn9cI/AAAAAAAAAGc/R-3SoRSzgN0/s1600-h/sadie6weeks.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116464823989171650" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwFVpjOn9cI/AAAAAAAAAGc/R-3SoRSzgN0/s320/sadie6weeks.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />Valley's Sadie McGurk</div></div><div><br /><div><a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwFaYzOn9dI/AAAAAAAAAGk/Lr51vMmyEpc/s1600-h/tykker6weeks.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116470033784501714" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwFaYzOn9dI/AAAAAAAAAGk/Lr51vMmyEpc/s320/tykker6weeks.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />Valley's Tykker McGurk<br /></div><div><a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwFK7TOn9YI/AAAAAAAAAF8/hVCMQeLyrUU/s1600-h/lexiplaying3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116453034303944066" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RwFK7TOn9YI/AAAAAAAAAF8/hVCMQeLyrUU/s320/lexiplaying3.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />Valley's Lexi McGurk<br />We have tons more pictures up at our <a href="http://www.imageevent/valleyahts/puppies">Valley AHTs Imageevent site</a>!!</div></div></div></div></div></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1175238253349039453-1915121821482416449?l=valleyahts.blogspot.com'/></div>American Hairless Terriers in Canadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11034902979463760360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175238253349039453.post-44648810980361764192007-09-08T11:28:00.000-07:002007-09-21T18:29:33.339-07:00Four weeks old already!<a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RuhFfDSLO3I/AAAAAAAAAEM/IQmxOMRlhmw/s1600-h/pinkeetired.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5109410177011628914" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RuhFfDSLO3I/AAAAAAAAAEM/IQmxOMRlhmw/s320/pinkeetired.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><div><div><div><div><div dir="ltr" style="COLOR: rgb(0,0,0)" align="left"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Well after our busy few days we decided to give poor Pinkee a break<span class="474120319-14092007"> for a bit,</span> and have another picture day for the pups! The puppies, Pinkee and Scooby all went to visit our friends at Heritage Hills (see <a href="http://www.american-hairless-terriers.com/">http://www.american-hairless-terriers.com/</a>) for Heritage Hills' website!). They all had a great time visiting, <a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RufsvTSLOyI/AAAAAAAAADk/gIpasa8seP0/s1600-h/IMG_4208.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5109312599649631010" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RufsvTSLOyI/AAAAAAAAADk/gIpasa8seP0/s320/IMG_4208.JPG" border="0" /></a></div>the puppies socialized and met new friends, ate, played and had a blast! Their personalities are starting to come out more and they're putting around, exploring and learning new things. <div>Of course, Scooby was assigned babysitting duty while we visited the Heritage Hills gang for a bit, and you can see how happy he was with this arrangement :)<br /><a href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/Ruf0jjSLO2I/AAAAAAAAAEE/YSDaudhkzww/s1600-h/scoobybabysitting.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5109321193879190370" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/Ruf0jjSLO2I/AAAAAAAAAEE/YSDaudhkzww/s320/scoobybabysitting.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />What a day! We have a name change, Nova's name is now Celeste :) Little Tykker continues to improve, and he even has an extra special mommy of his own, our very own Jadzie has nicely offered him some extra milk! Jadzie seems to always have milk and loves puppies! She was soooo happy to have little Tykker to nurse. They are getting really cute, toddling around on unsteady feet. They like to toddle and tumble around on a little play mat we have for them. They're starting to play with each other and we're even hearing the occasional little puppy bark or grumble! Here are Buster and Digger, the two most active and outgoing little ones thinking about making the big leap out of their puppy den! <a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/Rt3Tq7KfbHI/AAAAAAAAADc/1JNOolYSv6Y/s1600-h/diggerbuster.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5106470286897671282" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/Rt3Tq7KfbHI/AAAAAAAAADc/1JNOolYSv6Y/s320/diggerbuster.jpg" border="0" /></a> <div>Digger: "Do you think we should sneak out?" </div><div>Buster: "I don't know, what do you think?" </div><div>Digger: "What if Mom catches us!" </div><div>Buster: "She might!" </div><div>Digger: "She'd be mad, really mad"</div><div>Buster: "Let's do it anyway!!"</div><div> And then, guess who catches them? DAD! And he certainly was all miffed that they had toddled over to HIS bed and peed on it!!</div><div> </div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1175238253349039453-5188503093368279937?l=valleyahts.blogspot.com'/></div>American Hairless Terriers in Canadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11034902979463760360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175238253349039453.post-70411616830318975612007-08-25T17:11:00.000-07:002007-09-01T18:09:35.459-07:00<span style="font-family:verdana;">So here are the results of the pictures we took yesterday. We're still on 3-4 hour feedings with little Tykker but things are going well, his sniffles are almost gone and he's getting strong enough to nurse on his own :) So we're really happy!! (and still tired, but of course, Scooby is the most tired). The other 6 puppies are all doing well, their eyes are all open and they're starting to try to stand on unsteady feet. This is the cute stage! Where they just start to look at you and sort of crawl to your hand to sniff :) We're still having adjustment problems with my Oopies, they feel that 'they are the puppies'</div><div><a href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtbPJ7Kfa8I/AAAAAAAAACE/3kzhmwwEaOM/s1600-h/oopiejpg.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5104494997078502338" style="WIDTH: 156px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 134px" height="149" alt="" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtbPJ7Kfa8I/AAAAAAAAACE/3kzhmwwEaOM/s200/oopiejpg.jpg" width="183" border="0" /></a>Who can resist this face?</div><div>So as you can see, it's hard having Oopies. Oopie and Neo are both all lost and clingy. Oopie does this really funny thing, he paws at us to sit in between us all the time and makes little unhappy noises about how we spend waaaay too much time with the puppies. So on to our new family! (Of course Oopie and Neo are saying we did not write enough about them, we should have really written more) Pictures went well, they're active and fussy and it was hard to get them to stay still, but we took a bunch of each little one and from that we got a good one of each! We've named them for now, though the families might have different names for them later on. Oh wait, before we get there....we have a REALLY EMBARASSING picture of you know who. Now he claims, he never had soggy ears, they were always poinked straight up. However, we beg to differ (nooooooooo mom and dad don't post it!) Here we have, the one, the only, SCOOBY AS A PUPPY hee hee!<br /><a href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtcEyrKfa9I/AAAAAAAAACM/R3axLMRlihA/s1600-h/Scoobypuppyjpg.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5104553971274443730" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtcEyrKfa9I/AAAAAAAAACM/R3axLMRlihA/s200/Scoobypuppyjpg.jpg" border="0" /></a></div></div></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1175238253349039453-4899773429015962441?l=valleyahts.blogspot.com'/></div>American Hairless Terriers in Canadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11034902979463760360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175238253349039453.post-63717293557853627352007-08-19T10:14:00.000-07:002007-08-27T13:51:23.058-07:00Nice, fat little puppies and a much improved little Tykker!<a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtM247Kfa7I/AAAAAAAAAB8/xk39XtYMjAg/s1600-h/passedouttykker.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103483154323172274" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtM247Kfa7I/AAAAAAAAAB8/xk39XtYMjAg/s320/passedouttykker.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>The little ones are almost 10 days old now and nice pudgy puppies! Little Tykker's sniffles are getting a bit better. He *hates* taking his medicine drops and makes the funniest little faces! He's still on bottle feeding from us, and we separate him and mommy for special nursing time now every 3 hours(the pic of him above is him all tuckered out after a special separate nursing time) We're sooooo sleeeeeepy though he's not ready to go all night yet, so we're all tired but we're all so relieved and happy to see him improving so much. He definitely has an appetite! The Vibactra is definitely working well for him. He gets his meds every 4-6 hours and we can see his cold is improving daily. He still gets his little vicks steam tents and lots of hugs and cuddles :) Speaking of being tired, Scooby claims to be, yet it seems to me that I note something...odd about mom and dad...now here's Mom:<br /><a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtMvI7Kfa2I/AAAAAAAAABU/VwkHy9YpHR0/s1600-h/pinkeetending.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103474633108056930" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtMvI7Kfa2I/AAAAAAAAABU/VwkHy9YpHR0/s320/pinkeetending.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br />And of course, here's Dad:<a href="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtMxX7Kfa3I/AAAAAAAAABc/NWExkwLeaKs/s1600-h/scoobyplaying.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103477089829350258" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtMxX7Kfa3I/AAAAAAAAABc/NWExkwLeaKs/s320/scoobyplaying.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />And yet again, Mom:<a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtM0IbKfa5I/AAAAAAAAABs/bGBO2kW3f0s/s1600-h/pinkeefeeding.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103480122076261266" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtM0IbKfa5I/AAAAAAAAABs/bGBO2kW3f0s/s320/pinkeefeeding.jpg" border="0" /></a><br />And Dad who is "working hard" taking care of puppies!:<a href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtM0vrKfa6I/AAAAAAAAAB0/sFI36wv67cY/s1600-h/scoobyfetching.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103480796386126754" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtM0vrKfa6I/AAAAAAAAAB0/sFI36wv67cY/s320/scoobyfetching.jpg" border="0" /></a></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1175238253349039453-6371729355785362735?l=valleyahts.blogspot.com'/></div>American Hairless Terriers in Canadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11034902979463760360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175238253349039453.post-67854932114398670332007-08-17T05:53:00.000-07:002007-08-27T06:05:44.939-07:00Little SnifflesPoor little Tykker! He just can't catch a break. We're still on 2 hour feedings and soooooo tired. We're both falling asleep at work and the rest of the gang claims they are 'horribly neglected'. My poor Oopies are following me around, all lost looking and tugging at my pantlegs....saying things like 'but mom, you *used* to love us and hig and cuddle us all the time what happened?' Poor guys. We keep telling them everyone has to sacrifice to help little Tykker, but of course they don't understand. Scooby does of course, he's up nights every night too (at least he says he is!). So far so good with Tykker. We're still not sure he's out of the woods, but he's eating, and he's gaining weight, slowly, but gaining. But now the poor little squirt has a cold! We work up yesterday morning to him with a runny nose, and he started sniffling during the day. We had to rush out last night to a store 2 hours away to buy him some Vibactra and Cold medication. We lucked out in finding a store in driving distance that had some in stock. So he's started on the meds and vick vaporub steam tents to help his stuffiness and congestion. Wouldn't you know it, he's just trying to get over his rough start, and a cold hits. Oopie tends to get them too, especially in fall he'll get a couple cases of the sniffles. Tykker's appetite is still good and he's a hearty eater, despite his sniffles! <a href="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtLLu7Kfa1I/AAAAAAAAABM/vOcg4y4n6YE/s1600-h/LittleTykkerfeeding.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103365334780308306" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtLLu7Kfa1I/AAAAAAAAABM/vOcg4y4n6YE/s320/LittleTykkerfeeding.JPG" border="0" /></a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1175238253349039453-6785493211439867033?l=valleyahts.blogspot.com'/></div>American Hairless Terriers in Canadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11034902979463760360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175238253349039453.post-69401248021015960612007-08-11T04:40:00.000-07:002007-08-27T06:08:20.152-07:00We're sooooooo tiredThis weekend has been a blur! The little guy, we've named him Tykker is skinny and not eating well. We've been up bottle feeding every two hours. The hardest part is we still can't find goat's milk around here. You'd think in a rural farming area, we could, but no luck! We're feeding a homemade formula from leerburg's site, so far it's working for him :) We're just sooooo tired though. The other 6 look fat and are nursing well. Poor Pinkee is having some 'adjustment troubles', she still wants to go and play outside, and we have to keep reminding her she has to go back inside to tend to her puppies! Here is little Tykker being bottle fed:<br /><a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtLCcrKfazI/AAAAAAAAAA8/iUVCtGpZFb4/s1600-h/LittleTykker.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5103355125643045682" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/RtLCcrKfazI/AAAAAAAAAA8/iUVCtGpZFb4/s320/LittleTykker.JPG" border="0" /></a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1175238253349039453-6940124802101596061?l=valleyahts.blogspot.com'/></div>American Hairless Terriers in Canadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11034902979463760360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175238253349039453.post-38858452505081631692007-08-10T14:15:00.000-07:002007-08-24T09:22:50.418-07:00<p align="center"><a href="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/Rs8FsbKfayI/AAAAAAAAAA0/eK3z8sDXma0/s1600-h/IMG_4065.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5102303163598203682" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/Rs8FsbKfayI/AAAAAAAAAA0/eK3z8sDXma0/s320/IMG_4065.JPG" border="0" /></a></p><br /><br />Surprise!!! A day early, here they come! We were just about to head out to get some last minute supplies for The Big Day, when Pinkee decided today's the day! And of course, in typical Pinkee style, she never said anything. One minute she's out mousing in the woodpile, next minute she decides, now's the time for puppies and gets settled on the sofa! We quickly moved her to her puppy den, and things started out pretty quickly. Everything went smoothly and pretty fast, she was done in just under 2 hours, and 7 babies! They all look good. The first one to come out was a bit skinny, but he seems to be nursing well so all looks ok. Here's a pic with 6 born so far, the seventh to come. There are 3 lemon/apricot, 2 black/tan, and two black/white. 5 girls and 2 boys! We thought we might know 'him' right away when they were born, but now we're not sure which one might be 'him' (or her!). I guess we hoped for a Scooby clone to pop out spitting and kicking, but so far they all seem like nice, mellow little ones :)<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1175238253349039453-3885845250508163169?l=valleyahts.blogspot.com'/></div>American Hairless Terriers in Canadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11034902979463760360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1175238253349039453.post-72871144926281241632007-07-26T05:08:00.000-07:002007-08-24T09:27:01.353-07:00It's confirmed! We're having puppies! Our hopes are confirmed!! Our long, long awaited Pinkee and Scooby litter is coming. For those of you who don't know, poor Scooby has had some troubles with his prostate since the spring. After many vet visits, trips to a holistic vet, and various treatments, our vet finally suggested that neuter (boohoo!!) was the only option. It so happened in the last month before Scooby's neuter, Pinkee came into her season. With an ok from our vet to give it a try, and only a 10-15% chance of conception (Scooby's prostate problem lowered fertility greatly), we gave it a one shot chance at finally having the Scooby litter we've wanted for years. Well guess what!! It worked!! You'd have to know though, with Scooby he'd have found some way to make it work! At 5 weeks we got an ultrasound, and it looked like at least 5 puppies!! Yay!!! Here's the ultrasound, showing a puppy:<br /><p align="center"><a href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/Rs7sibKfaxI/AAAAAAAAAAs/vHvgfB4YjYs/s1600-h/ultrasound.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5102275504008817426" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_qojJQGSgL9k/Rs7sibKfaxI/AAAAAAAAAAs/vHvgfB4YjYs/s320/ultrasound.jpg" border="0" /></a></p><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1175238253349039453-7287114492628124163?l=valleyahts.blogspot.com'/></div>American Hairless Terriers in Canadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11034902979463760360noreply@blogger.com0
