These unique and historic buildings are located throughout the Park.

Tennessee tourists can explore the numerous log structures that make up the museum; including- a barn, an apple house, a farmhouse, a springhouse, and a functioning blacksmith shop. An exploration through these buildings will take you back in time and provide you with a sense of lifestyle for those who populated these Smoky Mountains in the 19th century.

One of the real highlights of the museum is the Davis House- which is constructed of a very rare type of wood- Chestnut Wood. Chestnut wood trees were largely wiped out by the Chestnut blight in the middle 20th century. Other highlights of the museum buildings include: fee admission, farm animals, fully costumed old-time dramatizations, and the Mountain Life Festival- which takes place every year in the middle of September.Big Black Bearnoreply@blogger.com0
