Hi dancers!!! Eu here. I've decided to reactivate this blog cos I'm just simply too bored to do anything else now.

Firstly, GOOD JOB DONE FOR ETHEREAL CONCERT!!! *pats on your back* I know many of us didn't really feel the high after this performance, maybe cos it wasn't entirely a concert made for us, but hey!! THERE'S STILL DU!!! :) :) :) Let's go show alllllllllllllllllll the other halls how WE do our thhaaaang.

Secondly, becos blogger is upgrading, I had to shift this account to the new upgraded version before being able to sign in, so..I've kinda created a gmail specially for this blog. It's dansdemonz@gmail.com . See, the good about having a gmail account for us dansdemonz is that, we can share ALL OUR PHOTOS THERE instead of sending them ONE BY ONE to each other!!!

What you do is, log in (ask me for password), compose an email to dansdemonz@gmail.com (basically you're sending an email to yourself), upload a ZIP file of ALL the photos you have for a perf, den voila!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every dansdemonz member gets to download the file! Save the hassle of MSNing every single person right??!?? *am i smart am i smart?? actually im not cos i wasn't the one who thought of this* haha

Thirdly, as of any group blogs, if you post any entry, please do leave an etching of your name somewhere in the post so that we know who's speaking ya? And also, no defamation or things like that here la huh, respect your fellow dancers. :)

For freshies who just joined us this year, WushuDance was first choreoed by who else but our dear Fen who was at the time also a student staying in KE7. Then the year after, he continued to make Wushudance 2, and it continued like that to become a tradition for KE now. This year, we topped it all with a stunning, not truly Wushudance, but pure Wushu & Dance performance. But still, it can be considered Wushudance 4 for the sake of tradition ;p. This year(2006)'s Rag theme is Dreams: Sketches from the past, portraits of the future. Our valiant Float committee came up with the great idea of a pirate ship float. So it was a less vague and abstract theme to play with this year and Fen did a great job of choreographing it as always :)

We came very (and I mean very) close to getting the Best Presentation Award! But let's not lose heart and give it our VERY best next year! We are so close already dancers! Just a little more to go!!! Join Float dance :D

We had a greater proportion of freshmen dancers than ever before! And together with the seniors, we churned out a very interesting float dance! This will be a memorable year for everyone :)

Dance Uncensored 2006

Another Dance Uncensored has come and gone by again! This year KE7 went a bit off track against the usual stuffs and presented 3 very different items both among in between themselves and among the other halls as well. We also went massive this year with at least 15 dancers per dance. This time all the songs used had lyrics in them and all sang by women and all 3 in different languages and they were not edited at all!

1. It's Oh So Quiet - Bjork
Jazzy dance telling a story about budding romance in high school... the meet, the enticement, the courtship, the jealousy, the apology and finally the match-up, all into one dance...charming

2. Evolution - Ayumi Hamasaki
Wushudance 3rd installment. Combining wushu, taichi, chinese dance and hip-hop moves, with the biggest cast ever - 18 people for a wushudance, it nuances the bold and strong against the soft and graceful movements...captivating

3.Tarot - F.I.R
Biggest cast ever of an all girls item in years - 15 Bohemian girls on stage. Some gypsy feel mixed with an air of mystery and a touch of seduction. Very nice costumes and nicely executed synchro moves...bewitching

KE7 DansDemonz did well... :) good job everyone!

WooHOooo! ICN! The Jivers were fun and lively, Bohemian dancers sizzling, Jazzies cute and lovely! All in all, it was a great show!!! Well done everyone!
Here's the synopsis for ICN 2005:

What is love? Love can be take on so many forms and so many meanings: being committed, possessed, wanted, owned, controlled, infatuated, desired, content with, cared for or giving. With so many possible meanings, no wonder we often get confused about love! Our dance explores none but just a small facet of love. Join us as KE DansDemonz presents to you, the Love Digest.

Chapter 1: Genesis
Love is a partnership. At this phase, you discover that you suit each other in ways you never imagined possible. Your partnership gives you continued confidence, security, nurturing, fun, stability, and equal power. You have learned to thrive together. Yet, love must be mutual to survive. It is being there for each other, to bring you back when you fall astray.

Chapter 2: Solitary
Even if a relationship seems immaculately perfect, the end may come. Where love used to be, there is a hole in the world. Loneliness and despair seem like that's all there is. Some of us think holding on makes us strong; but sometimes it is letting go. We learn and we move on.

Chapter 3: Anew
Though love has failed there is hope. If you have lost a loved one, you are more likely to find true love again. As you explore further, you find to your delight that you are caught in the game of love again. A smile, a whisper, a compliment. That might be all it takes to get it started again.

So whichever chapter you find yourself in, there is enough love around for everyone. And if not, there's always dance.

Another night of thrilling performances by the most cultured people in King Edward VII Hall :) Happening on the 21st October 2005 DansDemonz will make sure we make everyone sit up on their seats and take notice of our dance group, whether its the Happy Jivers, the Sexy Bohemians or the Cute Jazzies and not forgetting the Big Finale!!!

Centennial Dance Performance Award

Hi people,

The next big thing on DansDemonz' agenda - RAG DAY!!! Obviously Rag Day cannot be separated from our role as hall dancers. And a word of thanks to the dancers who have signed up for Float Dance. All I can say is I ask for cooperation from all to commit, learn and improve. Ideas are always welcomed! As for the rest, get a good rest/work and come down to SRC on 6th August to cheer for us!

Yes, the Rag Day will be held at SRC on 6th August. To those who were looking forward to Rag Day at Sentosa, sorry to disappoint. But to me, it's good too cos or else we'll simply die from exhaustion to travel to Sentosa and spend the whole day there.

Another thing is that there will be a one time Centennial Award, called the Centennial Dance Performance Award, given to the best Dance Performance. It emphasizes on choreo, creativity and synchro. This is a great incentive for us to work harder and show the other halls what we've got!!! In Chun Kiang's words : Take this award close close to Eusoff and then tell them, oops, it's not yours, this belongs to KE7!!!

So people, study hard now...but be very prepared for what's coming up!

We want supper...now!

Essential Dance Brew.

We met up at the foyer at 9pm all ready to go. The one with the head of a dancer wore a sexy top, very much fitting the theme "Sex on the Beach" for the night. We decided all to walk to the 200 bus stop, bcos the world is fair with all its unfairness.
We ate at Essential Brew, and this dark, hunky waiter was fatefully assigned to handle us. We all sat in a private room, with Jap stype round tables. Then, we went thru a gruelling process of deciding what to order with the limited budget we had (ARghh...budgets!!) and basically morphed into vultures after that--preying on other people's food and sharing drinks...Queen Elizabeth would have disapproved.
Soon we got high with laughter and match-made,camera-clicked and food-tasted all at the same time. The waiter must have been terrified of us, but being professional, courteously wait on us although every exit from the room was followed by hysterical fits of laughter from the buffoons...
Hmm..the food was not bad at all. By 1130pm, we were out of the place and headed back to hall. Later, the one with a fan, Eunice, LiFu and myself went to the lounge for a round of cards--without cards.
Unfortunately many dancers could not make it. Those who are not feeling well...hope you recover soon :) Those loaded with datelines and work, hope you can pull through it all..
To avoid any confusion, "Sex on the Beach" is an exotic drink that the one with the shiny purple shirt ordered. Sorry to disappoint.
That's all from me today, dancedemons...OUT.

one day we should make a template out of our own collection of dance photos. tt wil be so much more meaningful! hee..

yeah easter is just over. i know in SG its no big deal cos its only one pathetic Good Friday hol. but in Adelaide, its a freaking 4 day long holiday! ugh. wud haf been great if dis place has more to offer. but nah! its boring. luckily i've got my Singaporean gang of med frens. we went on a road trip on easter monday n it was so fun! hahaha..i havent updated my blog on the details though. wil try to do so real soon but quite difficult cos i dun haf internet in my hostel room. bah!

i really miss dancing! u guys n girls r really fortunate to haf gone for DU! count ur dancing toes! poor me here. wanna join Swing also cant find the club details. there's some synergised dance cum aerobics classes. weird names but basically means Latin dance coupled with Cardio workout kinda crap. hahaha! actually i feel like joining. but i wud need to starve to pay for those classes. might as well jus starve n save the money. hahaha!

i suppose everyone is rushing for exams or some project deadlines yeah? take gd care of ur health noe? dance more to relieve stress, boost immunity, lose weight (from all those stress-snacking!) and get that taut abs + radiance on ya faces! :D

btw, tell me who's the new dance head k! heh. im stl as kaypoh as ever.

p.s. Sharon: ur makeup for girls is wonderful! its really nice, esp. the RnJ girls..(hahah! of cos i wud say this..i was fr RnJ wat!)

Hi all..

Dunno wat to say..
WOW. KEdansdemonz so happening.. got own blogsite..
Thanks everyone for a wonderful experience.
mmm mmm .mm . mm .. dunno wat to say..

for some, this is the first time on stage... for some, it may be the last...
i'm sad for the fact that the same thing will never happen twice in life..
but yet, i'm grateful for the fact that it had happened at all.
Anyhow..
i hope everyone will continue dancing somehow.. even if it means dancing in your own bedroom.

Dancing is enjoyable. It's fun! But dat's only when you let it to be..
When you let your feet run its own rhythm..
When you let your body move to the beat..
When you let yourself shine under the limelight..
When you enjoy every moment of it, translate dat joy to body language and share it with the audience.

Dansdemonz has so much potential.
